*The Ramen Noodle School is protected by a sophisticated security system by the name of EKASS. It was designed by Orb. EKASS is an acronym for 'electrical ki-activated security system'. Essentially, EKASS works by reading your ki, thus discerning whether you are a friend or an unknown, and what your intentions are. It no longer solely uses electricity to attack enemies, but the first model did, and old acronyms die hard. EKASS is powered by a discarded soul, which is how it can judge people. It cannot be shut down by cutting the power, as there are countless back-up systems which Orb has built in case of an emergency. The soul which EKASS runs on is connected to Orb's, so even if all the back-ups are destroyed, it cannot be shut down while Orb is alive. Just about all of the defensive mechanisms of the Ramen Noodle School run through EKASS in one way or another.

The Ramen Noodle School is surrounded by tall wall of white marble, with banners hanging off the sides at certain points. The banners bear the usual symbol of the Ramen Noodle Line: a silver chalice crossed by two chopsticks. The walls are solid and are cleverly trapped by the Chief of Defenses. If one touches the white walls, a feeling of peacefulness spreads through his or her mind, negating any desire to destroy or cause harm. This magical effect has been carefully designed to prevent tampering or countering, and the gate is held together by a durability enchantment. At the gate that is the entrance to the guild; two bored guards wait to guard against intruders. Their presence is mostly for show, because the gate entrance is heavily trapped. Anyone who is not a registered guild member or ally of the guild who attempts to pass through the gate with intent to destroy on his mind will be repelled- he will physically be thrown about ten feet from the wall.

The entire guild is surrounded by a dome of force magic which repels unauthorized porting. If you are not a guild member or an ally, trying to port into the guild would be a very bad idea. The system is programmed to take all suddenly incoming matter and reassign it to any other random point in space, in other words, if you don't belong and you try to port within the walls, you'll be reported somewhere else... and it could be anywhere. Just how you do the porting is irrelevant, whether you try it through science, magic, or spiritual energy, EKASS will recognize you as unauthorized incoming matter.

The area surrounding the castle consists of beautiful gardens and stone paths. With all kinds of flora, the garden has much of the appearance of Eden. In the back of the castle, Aran Kel has his own section of the garden which is mostly reserved for fruit trees and various vegetables. He spends a great amount of tending to it each day. To the western part of the plot lie Tas'Korael, a little elven sanctuary hidden amidst the trees. That is the domain of Mairethil Aredhel's sensei.

Far too the side of the garden is the Ramen Noodle Family Cemetery. There are many graves; Jerrit's entire family is buried here. There is a memorial here which is dedicated to Jaim Thurle, and the urn containing his ashes is made from the melted-down shards from the Deathsword, the Seal, and the Biter.

The Ramen Noodle School is a large oriental style castle, made mostly of sun-dried mud bricks and wood. The walls have been enchanted to repel most elemental attacks. The towering walls are imposing and majestic, the architect who designed the castle, Aran Kel, obviously didn't have a budget in mind.*
