Battle Rules

See: Post Action - Roll Dice - Choose Sided Dice

Pokemon HP is ([Every 10th Level x 10] + lvl)

1 - 10 = 10 hp +lvl
11 - 20 = 20 hp +lvl

Example lvl 1 is 11hp, and lvl 9 is 19.

---

To decide which Pokemon strikes first, roll a D20.
Pokemon with the highest roll strikes first.

---

Attack, and defend (defending does not include the use of moves unless they are defensive in nature (light screen, etc). They can include dodging, and distracting actions.

Both Pokemon roll a D20, if the attacker rolls higher, they hit. If the defending Pokemon does they miss.

If anyone rolls a 1, they critically fail! (x2 damage if hit, or dodging Pokemon gets a +5 to their next attack roll).

If anyone rolls a 20, this is a critical hit! (x2 damage if hit, or dodging Pokemon gets a +5 to their next attack roll)

---

For Damage!

Roll a D10! Every time your pokemon gains a tenth level, add an extra die.

Level 0 - 19 = 1
Level 20 - 29 = 2
Level 30 - 39 = 3
Level 40 - 49 = 4
Level 50 - 59 = 5
Level 60 - 69 = 6
Level 70 - 79 = 7
Level 80 - 89 = 8
Level 90 - 99 = 9
Level 100 = 10

---

---

Type Advantage/Disadvantage

For Damage Rolls impacted by type advantage and disadvantage. See the defending Pokemon on Bulbapedia:

NationalPokemon List

Go to "Type Effectiveness," multiply your damage rolls by the number shown.

For example... This is Bulbasaur's Type Effectiveness chart.

User Image

Bulbasaur is weak against fire x2. This means any fire attack he is damaged by, would be doubled in damage. However, if he is damaged by a water attack, that attack would only do half damage.

---

Example...

Lvl 5 Bulbasaur is being attacked by a lvl 7 Fennekin

Bulbasaur has 15 hp!

Fennekin uses howl (+2 to damage rolls), and later attacks with Ember.
The Damage roll (1 D10) is 3, and Bulbasaur is weak to fire attacks.

(3 + 2) x 2 = 10 damage!

Bulbasaur has 5 hp left!

-

Lvl 5 Bulbasaur is being attacked by a lvl 7 Squirtle

Bulbasaur has 15 hp

Squirtle uses tail whip (+2 to damage rolls), and then water gun.
The Damage roll (1 D10) is 3, and Bulbasaur is resistant to water attacks.

(3 + 2) x 0.5 = 2.5

Bulbasaur has 12.5 hp left!

-

Lvl 5 Bulbasaur is being attacked by a lvl 7 Squirtle

Bulbasaur has 15 hp

Squirtle uses tail whip (+2 to damage rolls), and then tackle.
The Damage roll (1 D10) is 3, and Bulbasaur is damaged normally by normal attacks.

(3 + 2) x 1 = 5

Bulbasaur has 10 hp left!

The Gym Leader

Lady_conspiracy
Name:
"Pixie" - Vivienne Cosette LaBlanche

User Image

Age:
32

Residence:
Venus City

Rank/Occupation:
Venus Gym Leader - Love Badge

Ethnic:
French

Lover:
She keeps herself open

Family:
Mother - Nina LaBlanche
Father - Stefan LaBlanche
Twin - Violette Eponine LaBlanche

Personality:
Pixie is much like her name sake, beautiful but mischievous. She has a thirst for adventure, and a desire to be surrounded by beauty. She loves the myths of the Seelie, and Unseelie Fairy Pokemon courts. Many of her double teams are set up to mimic these myths in some way. As an intelligent, but cunning woman, she is not one to be easily messed with. Pixie is a well known Pokemon performer, as well as a trainer. Despite her polite, and observant personality, Pixie can also be quite judgemental, and stubborn when it comes to matters surrounding Pokemon.

Talents:
Pokemon Performer, Gym Leader, Fashion Designer, and Actress.

Bio:
Vivienne Cosette LaBlanche, and her twin sister Violette Eponine LaBlanche was born to the gym leaders of Venus City! Her parents battled trainers together as a couple, and were so excited when they had twin girls. They hoped that one day their daughters would battle together in the gym. Thus the two girls were raised to be gym leaders. Double battles were fought as soon as the two were able to command a Pokemon. On their fifth birthdays, both girls were given a Pokemon Egg to nurture and hatch. To their surprise some time after, two Eevee's emerged from the Eggs. Vivienne's first (Puck), and Violette's minutes later (Mab). The two soon became a quartet, and were seen everywhere together. Vivienne, and Violette played hand-in-hand every day. The city knew the family well, and spoiled the girls rotten.
-
As the girls became teenagers, and went on adventures away from home, they still stayed and fought together. Their Eevee's had long ago evolved into a Sylveon, and a Glaceon. Together they made a strong, and unique team. Vivienne focused on becoming a Fairy trainer, while Violette was drawn to the Ice Type Pokemon. Passing trainers referenced the girls as the "Winter Roses" of Venus. It was a title the two took great pride in.
-
It was at their 25th birthday, they were introduced to Marius, a trainer who also came from Venus City. He was a Pokemon Performer as well, and had competed against the duo years prior. Both sisters became infatuated with him, and their rivalry was born. Despite the new competition between the two, it began off as amicable. The two would never hold the other accountable for their broken hearts, and believed that Marius would choose, and the other would accept. The love triangle went on for a full year, and became the talk of Venus City. Which of the LaBlanche twins would eventually win his heart.
-
What happiness they had soon fell apart when Team Zodiac attacked the Museum of Mythology in hopes of kidnapping the infamous Iris Fairchild. The trio of Vivienne, Violette, and Marius all fought together. After hours of battling, Team Zodiac fled the city, and Iris Fairchild remained unharmed. Unfortunately Marius did not. In an attempt to protect both the sisters, and their Pokemon, he threw himself in front of a powerful attack from Aden's Charizard. When the smoke cleared from the building, Marius and his Pokemon were found dead.
-
Blaming one another for his death, believing that the other could have done more during the battle. For a time they continued to perform, and battle together but their attempts were disastrous. They lost all their performances that year, and even fought violently on stage. The divide could not be healed, and so Violette left Venus City to adventure alone. Violette told Vivienne that she needed to discover herself as an individual, and that Vivienne should do the same. Broken hearted, she watched her sister go.
-
Her parents retired from the gym, and Vivienne took over. She sent her sister a letter, asking her to return to the city, and take her place as her partner Gym Leader. Violette never wrote back. She did not want to give up her parents tradition of fighting double battles for the Love Badge, and so she built up her team, and had them each work together until she found the perfect pairs.
