I shall be the first to ask a couple of questions then!
Can we become Scientists? Or is that role only given to Mods/active Rpers? Also, how will a Scientist differ from a regular Trainer or can a a Trainer be a Scientist as well?
I've been able to see that some characters are already associated with Gems or have obtained a Gem but does that mean that they are now guarding that said Gem? Was that the first Gem they were able to get close to? Do people in certain cities obtain that cities Gem?
Can our characters be any age we want? Or do they need to be the typical 10-year-old heading out on their journey?
Does the town/city/village we live in influence what Gem we first receive; as well as what first Pokemon we get?
Will there be a page that will inform us what Wild Pokemon will be available for that area? I know that there are certain Pokemon that only appear at certain times of the day so will you be implementing a Day/Night phase in the Guild?
So to answer most of the questions, the story is getting a complete overhaul. The Gem protectors and such are no longer a thing, we felt it spread the rp too thin too soon. The current idea will be on an island with 2 factions you can be a part of for now. as the story grows and the guild grows more factions and areas will be unlocked. in this version Gems have not been found yet but will be soon. Also Pokemon only appear on this one single island that is located in the middle of the pacific ocean.
As for age i'm good with any age although because it will involve sending people to a remote island i'm thinking 14/15+ minimum.
The town or city doesn't effect anything but the country you are from will determine which faction brought you in. (it'll make more sense later)
As for the scientists question we are looking in to job classes. So probably that will be an option as well as military and medical among other things.
As for where pokemon appear and when there will be a list but to be clear, this rp takes place in our world where pokemon have mysteriously manifested. That being said pokeballs have only recently been invented and are regulated by the governments and are very expensive so they will be far and few in between so make wise choices with your catching.
SO when you are thinking about your character remember that their knowledge of pokemon can only be from games and show/manga ect. Real pokemon have only been around for a few months and outside of the government science divisions no one even knows they exist yet.
