Muldoon:
It had been months since Muldoon was taken in by his cousin's family. He was liking it, though it didn't take much to be better than his prior living quarters. He helped around the house and Aggro's little workshop (for lack of a better term) and got some sense of pride from it, but it just wasn't enough. Today he and Aggro were running errands in the city. Since arriving at the Gypsy household, this was only the second time he'd been to the city. Aggro, on the other hand, made trips there almost every other day. Muldoon wondered what his cousin was up to all those times, but something in the back of his mind told him not to wonder too much.
He walked along the streets of Meteorite's Cradle, hands shoved in his pockets, just sightseeing as Aggro rounded up the last things on their To Do list. The hat he'd been gifted sit atop his head, though it was still just a bit too small for it. He knew he'd grow into it, he just hoped he wouldn't grow out of it. It was his greatest possession, aside from the magazine two lovely young women signed for him. He sighed, remembering that last trip here and thought how amazing it would be to see them again. He still remembered his promise too! He was going to take them out to dinner, on a date! Just the three of them!
His spirits were high, that was until he thought on how he was going to realize this dream. He was still just a kid. He needed money. His shoulders slumped and he looked down as he continued walking, not paying much attention to where he was going. Somehow, though, he ended up in front of Meijur Bounty Hunting before sighing again and having a seat in front of the building. "Ain't no way I'm gonna be able to take those ladies out!" he growled, annoyed that he was still trying to fix his speaking. "There's no way I'm gonna be able to take those ladies out to dinner."
Quinn:
He'd been packing things up in the office he was taking with him for the body guarding gig he was going to be doing for Dream. Oh sure, bounty hunting had been his dream for so long, and had gotten him his start but damn if he didn't love that Ninetails. He was willing to give up this dream, to protect a different one, at all costs.
He'd seen a teen and boy as he pulled down some of his certificates and licenses from the walls, and set them into yet another box before he was closing the flap down on it now that it was full and slapping a piece of tape on it. Turning with it in hand he saw the boy sitting down on the bench outside of the building and shrugged to himself before he was stepping outside box in hand to stow it in his truck, blinking at the words he could hear.
Once the box was in the truck he turned back around, his large frame casting a shadow on the boy sitting there. "Couldn't help but over hear, girl trouble?" there was a kind smile on his face as he asked that, wondering if the boy would even talk to him.
Muldoon:
"Eh?" he startled, half jumping from his seat; he hadn't realized anyone was around, much less heard him. Muldoon looked up to see the large man blocking the sun. Despite all the fluff that was there though, Muldoon could tell there was more muscle. This guy was strong, but he had that "gentle giant" feel about him. It was weird, but the Axew felt like he could talk candidly to the big guy.
"Ah, yeah, somethin' like that." he readjusted, resting his head in his hands. "Prob'ly for the best anyway. 'S not like I'm anything special 'r anything." He grunted, throwing his hand in the air in defeat before leaning back and sliding down the bench until the back was pushing the hat over his face. He grunted again. "I'm doomed to never fulfill my promise to the Kitty Kat twins."
Quinn:
"Follow me kid, we can talk a moment while I pack this place up." he jerked his head to the door and held it open. "Feel free to grab a seat at the desk for a moment." there was a photo of him and Dream, his arm looped around the lither man's shoulders and the broadest smile on his face. Behind his desk was a slew of photos, all with CAPTURED stamped over them.
"Ahh the Kitty Kat twins, they're models yeah? What promise is that anyhow?" he was moving things into another box, a few pieces of gear, a couple files....mostly closed ones. The ones he hadn't filled he stared at and set them on his desk a moment. He'd have to find something to do with these later. Right now he was packing up what he was taking home with him.
Muldoon:
Muldoon lifted the brim of his hat with a finger to watch the man as he returned back inside. Any caution was thrown aside for curiosity as he followed the man inside. He made himself at home, plopping his rump in a seat on the outer side of the desk. He glanced around, taking note of all the things: wanted posters, handcuffs and other equipment, and even the picture of the this man and what was either a really go friend... or more, he wasn't about to ask.
He was busy trying to read the name of the business on the window (seeing as they were backwards, it was a little difficult), when the questions caught his interest. "Ah, yeah, not just any models, though." He swallowed and looked at his feet, trying not to blush. "They're the most gorgeous women in whole world." He looked up at the man, a fierce expression taking over. "And they're real sweet too!" He got a little quiet at this point, a bit embarrassed by his outburst. His eyes shifted to the floor again as he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I-I kinda promised ta take them out onna date," he finally mumbled.
Quinn:
"Sounds like a fine dream to keep hold of. Everyone needs a dream you know. This business was my dream for a long time. And now..." he tapped his finger on the picture frame. "This is me and my boyfriend, Dream. Now my dream, is to take care of him. It's important to keep hold of your dreams, and keep your promises if you can."
He shuffled a few more things into boxes and set them by the door for the moment before he straightened a little. "Don't give up on your dream. You're young yet, and I bet if you give it some time, you'll be able to make good on that promise."
The phone rang and he picked it up then. "Meijur Bail Bonds. Yes this is Quinn Meijur. No I'm sorry, I'm not taking on anymore cases. I've closed up shop. I'm very sorry, have a good day." he hung the phone up and turned back to the Axew. "Sorry about that. Now, where were we?"
Muldoon:
He couldn't help but snicker, giving losing a dream to someone named Dream? He was glad to see the guy was living his life how he wanted, but Muldoon wasn't so sure it was in the card for him. It's not like he had endless time before the girls found a boyfriend... if they didn't already have one. He snorted audibly; they probably don't even remember him. And why wouldn't they have boyfriends? They were stunning, sweet, had... assets to die for. Ugh, they were perfect! There's no way time would be on his side of this dream.
Muldoon kicked his feet as they dangled from the chair, his eyes wandering from the floor and on to the desk. Something about one of the files caught his eye. A picture was partially sticking up out and he swore he recognized the face. Muldoon never forgot a face, human or otherwise. He snatched it up while Quinn was busy with the call and opened the folder. His eyes grew wide and he stood out of his chair; he had seen this guy before. Curiosity peaked and he began reading what the man was wanted for: battery, assault, murder. Muldoon swallowed hard as he read on. This guy was bad, with a capital B-A-D.
When Quinn was finished with his call, Muldoon looked up from the folder at him, his eyes still saucers. "I know where this guy is!" it was quiet, as he was still in disbelief, but his voice was filled with conviction.
Quinn:
Quinn had just dropped the phone back on the cradle, and blinked at Muldon looking at the folder he having been in the middle of reaching for it, only to blink a moment as he processed what he was being told. "You know where he is? Seriously? I've been trying to find this guy for ages. He's slippery and keeps eluding me."
He looked around his office and was pulling out some gear and settling it on himself. To Muldoon, he tilted his head. "Can you tell me where or is this a case of you have to show me? If you have to show you have to swear this." he held out his old kid sized bullet proof vest...which was still quite large given how big he'd been as a kid. "If you're serious and I catch him, that's some big money and I'd be willing to give you a large percent of the reward money." well, why not?
Muldoon:
"Yeah, just saw him like thirty minutes ago." Muldoon thought about it, handing the file over to Quinn. "He was going into some shady looking bar." He was sure the guy was still there, he remember whenever his former trainer went out drinking, he was gone for hours. He figured that was pretty standard.
"Hey man, I'd love to tell you, but I don' really know street names or nothin'." He shrugged, not meaning to cause an issue, it was very matter-of-fact. He watched with fascination as Quinn moved around quickly, despite his size. And oh boy, did his eyes light up when the bullet proof vest was brought out. "No way!" he eagerly accepted it, taking his hat off only to pull the vest on over his head. He replaced his hat and grinning up at Quinn, sticking out his hand. "Figure if we're partners an' all; name's Muldoon!"
Quinn:
There was a grin as he watched the boy pull on the vest and he reached out to secure a couple of straps for him so it'd be on him slightly snugger. "Sorry its not any smaller. That was mine from when I was your age so you know." he gave a grin as he said that before he was moving to a safe sitting across the room spun the dial and pulled out some weapons which he strapped on. The belt around his waist had some cuffs, a taser and a few other things. Looking at Muldoon he found a smaller one and held it out.
It had a pair of cuffs, and a that was pretty much it, but it was something. "Here you go, Muldoon is it?" he took the offered hand and shook. "I'm Quinn, pleased to meet you. C'mon lets get out to the truck and you can tell me where to go." he knew that look all too well. He'd worn it once upon a time himself!
Muldoon:
Muldoon happily accepted the equipment and strapped the belt on, securing the cuffs in a little pouch to the side. For some reason it all felt natural to him and grinned a tusky grin. Needless to say his adrenaline was going too. He could feel his heart racing and they really hadn't even started yet! What a thrill!
He nodded, the smile on his face, "Let's do this!" His eyes glinted with determination as he followed Quinn out to the truck. He climbed into the passenger's seat and directed the teen where to go. Muldoon's memory was sharp and he got them there in little time. "That's it!" he ushered in a muffled shout. He pointed to a run-down looking establishment, the only visible entrance a solitary door that looked significantly newer than the rest of the decrepit building. A sign that'd seen better days read, "Abandon," hung over the door. Muldoon's eyes narrowed and he turned to Quinn. "What's the plan?"
Quinn:
Quinn watched as Muldoon got the gear hooked on and in place with ease and not at all needing told where anything went. He was impressed, a lot of people would have fumbled with the gear after all and not worn it with such ease.
Getting the truck in motion he followed the directions he was given and parked a little down from the building and eyed it. "Seems straight forward this building. I don't see any other doors from here...looks old. He could always go out a window but most of those look boarded up. I think the way we'll do this is very straight forward."
He unbuckled himself and looked the file over one more time to refresh his memory on the man's looks. "We go in there, if you have a move that'll help incapacitate him great, if not use what you got. We'll cuff him and all and hook him into the back. I have hooks and such back there for transporting my catches." it was the one big modification he'd had made to the truck Dream had gotten to replace his old one. He needed a secure location after all!
"Don't hesitate to stand behind me if it looks like you need to, or to run back out here to the truck. I'll keep you safe."
Muldoon:
He nodded, listening carefully as Quinn explained the plan. Seemed straight forward and simple enough. When asked about his moveset, however, Muldoon frowned a little. He didn't have anything that could incapacitate anyone and he wasn't sure if what he actually had would even work on a human. He grunted, clinching his fists and squaring his jaw. He could do this regardless. He wasn't afraid! He mentally psyched himself up some with mental images of the Kitty Kat twins hugging him tightly and calling him their big, strong hero.
Muldoon took a deep breath, looking out at the uninviting building in front of them. "Okay, I'm ready," he semi-growled. "Let's get this guy!" He hopped out of the truck, careful not to slam the door shut as it might alert some ne'er-do-wells. He kept close to Quinn, but out of the way. He'd let the veteran lead the way; he was excited, not stupid. His eyes darted around, keeping watch in case anyone were to sneak up on them.
Quinn:
Quinn was glad Muldoon hadn't slammed the truck door, and he closed his own quietly, and headed over towards the building, surprised it was even holding up as bad as it was looking! He was watching the kid from the corner of his eyes and could see determination written all over his face and body language. This kid wasn’t an easy one to rattle that was for sure!
Moving across the street to the door, he opened it up normally. Not so slow as to appear to be slinking in, or yanking it open like the cops would. Nope, nice and casual like. The bar seemed relatively empty and he surmised it was due to the time of day. Scanning the room he noticed their man across the room his back to the door. Foolish move.
With a silent hand motion to Muldoon he indicated their man, and he found himself extra glad the place seemed deserted. The guy at the bar, sensing trouble, wisely made himself scarce by going into the back with things in his hands. All the better.
Muldoon:
The young Axew followed closely, but just out of arm's reach of Quinn should something cause the need to step back suddenly. He gave his eyes a moment to focus in the dim lighting of the bar before continuing in after Quinn. He nodded at Quinn's motioning, giving a quiet grunt of affirmation.
Although he was fairly small, being a kid, he hunkered down and started to fan out silently. He kept his body low, leaving his center of gravity only about a foot off the ground, making for more stability. He kept vision on the guy they were going after, but made sure he didn't tunnelvision him and end up running into a table or something.
Once he was satisfied with his position, he nodded to Quinn and ready a little dark energy for Assurance.
