An elegant butterfly passed through the light breeze of the morning air, it's wings delicately fluttering to keep itself from blowing away. It was things such as mundane, and simple as this that continued to keep the world such a beautiful place, she mused, as green eyes watched the butterfly in it's actions. There were, of course, stories of disaster and despair, but how could they be true, if the world held such beauty and innocence? A complicated matter, that it was, and she chose not to think of it that often. Instead, however foolish it might have been, she focused on the good; the things in life that truly mattered.
A butterfly didn't matter, but what it symbolized did. A bunny rabbit wasn't grand in the scheme of life, but what it stood for, did. She, a tiny speck in a world full of life didn't, but who she was, and what she was, did.
And what she was, was lovely. Or so she was told. Daisy never quite liked to think much of herself, for on the surface she was nothing more than a being, but often she was told of her goodness. And it made her smile. It made her smile if only because she loved to bring the goodness to others, to have them feel what it was liked to be appreciated, wanted, a part of something else other than themselves. She wanted others to feel what it was that made the world move -- love. Not traditional love, no, just....strength. Knowing someone, something, out there cared for them, that was what she wanted. So she traveled, like her father before her, in search of what her life's calling was in each soul she came across. It caused her heart to flutter when she saw that age-old smile plastered on a friendly face, and when she left them, she felt more empowered than ever before.
She had yet to fail, and for that, she was naive. She had yet to feel what it was like to be hated, and for that, her heart was pure.
Deep down the mare knew that her antics wouldn't last forever, and it tore her insides apart, but for now she enjoyed all that life had to offer, and hoped that whomever she came across felt the very same. If only to see that beloved smile. Her father, bless his soul, would have looked upon her like a fool - hadn't he told her that life was disastrous? That life had little to offer anyone, and to never expect a thing? Yes, but had she listened? No. She chose to see the good, and always the good. Even when the good was invisible.
She'd still try.
The butterfly made it's way back to her, as the wind carried it's tiny frame, landing on her snout as if to cling to security. A giggle, wasn't this just absolutely perfect? The day was quiet, the wind was light, and she had so far had a successful, happy week. It was....perfect!!
In the excitement, her little wings fluttered in response, unaware of her surroundings for the moment.

Life wasn't something that was meant to be lived in one place. It was meant to be enjoyed every day to it's fullest. That was his motto anyway, or at least he had taken that motto as his own. Whether or not someone else had used it as their own before was unbeknownst to him so he didn't really give it a second thought. Flicking his tail behind him he turned his bright blue gaze to the vast world around him and took in a deep breath. This was what living was all about. Getting out there, exploring and experiencing new and exciting things. He was a wanderer at heart and doubted he'd ever find himself in one spot for very long, at least not with his current views on things. While he had a lovely lady waiting for him he was sure she would be cross but she wasn't the type to go gallivanting off into the sunset with him so he had left on his own to do what his heart called him to do. The gold and cream colored stallion willed himself on and told himself that he had to at least run into one other living creature today and get to know them or learn from them. Something productive. He had been traveling for quite some time now and had been rather lacking in the conversation department so the idea of running into someone delighted him a great deal. The day was young and new so who was he to tell himself it couldn't be done. He was invincible, so to speak, the king of the world. While he wouldn't act that way around anyone he just felt as though his spirits were a match for the Gods themselves. It was a very nice feeling. Setting off with his head held high he listened to the sounds of the light breeze rustling through the trees, and the way the grass softly crunched beneath his cloven hooves. Allowing himself to live in the moment he wasn't paying much attention to who was also in the area, but at least he wasn't alone in that. His sights finally fell upon the soft colored mare he paused and watched her for a moment, she seemed to be enjoying the day as much as himself and it was a nice treat to observe. After a moment he cleared his throat, he didn't want to seem rude by staring. "Hello." He called out to her. He didn't know whether he should approach her or stay where he stood so he figured he'd just stay and allow her to make the first move. Since he was the first one to say something. WC: 450
