Nantosuelta woke with a stare. Her vibrant green eyes glanced around quickly as the sounds of the fire faded from her ears. Oh it was just a dream. The mare thought as she shook herself off and stretched her aching legs. Taking in a deep breath Nanto had to settle herself. The sounds of the strange forest reached her eyes and she realized that her nightmare wasn't over.
A fire had torn it's way through the mountain valley she had called home for her whole life. She was forced to flee the heat of the flames running with the creatures that had taken sanctuary with her through the narrow pass and cave. Her heart ached to go home but the death of the land there was to strong for even her magic to heal right now. But now she was lost in this other world. Her red colored curls looked rather haggard after the last couple of days, she needed to find a river... yes and some food. The adrenaline of the fire had finally worn off. Even the rainbows on her back which fed off her life force were starting to look a bit sad.
Nanto started to make her way forward she wondered if any other horses lived in this forest. The forest had been affected it as well here from the fire but she had been moving away from the damaged land. And as she walked she was able to hear water in the distance. That caused her hooves to move faster and before she knew it, she was looking at a decent sized river. She walked right into the cool water and felt an instant relief wash over her.
The water washed away all the soot and hopefully the smell of burning from her pelt and mane as she lowered her head carefully into the water. The streams on her back replenished after drying up from the heat and they began to run again and she finally took a moment to get something to drink. She wanted to spend the day in the stream but know that she couldn't. She glanced over in the direction she came from and watched the path of Fuana that had grew start to close up and shrink away. Even this far from the fire the land was hurting... She wondered how the fire came to start but the grumbling on her stomach stopped that thought quickly.
She took a few more minutes to bath and then with a bit of new vigor she started off to find some food. She also hoped that she might find someone soon that could help her... This was a much larger and scarier world then her Eden.
