how would you have liked to see the FMP! series end?

*other than not ending at all!* Well, technically the series hasn't finished yet. The novels are still coming out, chapter by chapter. They're up to number seven (Burning One Man Force) and I think I read that we're heading towards the end of the over-all story now, with just a few more books for the main plot due. There are also the comedy-lead novels of short stories, which were the main source for the Fumoffu series, whether they'll stop when the main storyline does, I don't know. That aside, I really hope the origin of the Whispered is explained, how it was discovered, and we find out what exactly is in Kaname's head. I'd also like to see Sousuke reach some sort of happy medium with himself between his military talents and skills and his newfound wish for a normal, civilian life. And much Sousuke/Kaname fluffiness, naturally 4laugh

i like sousuke the way he is. the fact that he doesnt have a normal life and is quite socially inept is what makes him such a good character! -to me anyway.

Heyy... Are the Full Metal Panic! novels out in america?? o_O; Or are they translated to english? I would SO love to read them! *obsessed* <3 ( *would also like to know when volume 9 of the manga would come out* D: *and when FMP!TSR comes to america* @_@)

Two short stories from the novels that provided the plots for the Fumoffu episodes have also been translated. The translations are very well done...I think. I can't read or understand Japanese beyond the very basics, and I don't have the books so I can't really tell. But the translations flow very well in any case, and there are notes from the translator, Brandi, to explain things where they've been changed slightly, or when there's an reference that non-Japanese speakers might not understand. I would definately recommend downloading them - they come in pdf format, and also have all the colour images from the novels in there. I can't help you with the other info though sad

I want to see an ending that's new...
and not an adaptation from any simple and "happy-ending" series...
apart from a happy-ending, i want it to be extraordinary...
P.S.: Honestly, i don't want it to end...

In the end of the series, Kaname and Sousuke should either be fighting the enemy together or be having a date like normal people. That would be so beautiful.
