INSTRUCTIONSBefore participating in the tournament, please post the following form, so that we know your preference list. The prizes can be found in the post below.
Username: boar 1, boar 2, etc
This is a PVP "tournament" in which you'll face off against a real, Gaian opponent in each match. Although you may roleplay for fun, roleplay will not reward you with any bonuses. If you are interested in developing the scenario further, be sure to check out our
event prompts to see how your kin might have learned to spar, or how they might recuperate in the aftermath.
The tournament will be open for the entirety of the event, during which you may challenge other Gaians to matches as often as you'd like. However, to limit spam, you may engage a particular Gaian in battle for a maximum of five times over the course of the tournament. How will a match proceed?
That's a little bit complicated.
First, find a partner who's agreed to compete against you. Next, generate a random number between
1 and
25 in this thread. The following form is optional, but will help you when it comes to claiming points.
OPTIONAL ROLLING FORM
EN GARDE!
Previous Rolls: (repeat as necessary - you don't need to fill this out, but it'll be helpful at the end of the match!)
[x] vs [x]
Your opponent should do the same. Make sure to look at the random numbers you've each generated.
Even numbers will be considered attack moves.
Odd numbers will be considered defense moves. If you and your opponent rolled the same kind of move (both attack or both defense), the person who rolled the lower number will win. If you and your opponent rolled opposite kinds of moves (one attack and one defense, in whatever combination), the person who rolled the higher number will win. If you tie, you may opt to re-roll.
Of course, it'd be a bit unfair to decide the winner in one shot. You and your opponent will repeat this process two more times, for a total of three times, to complete this match. The winner of this match is whichever Gaian has won more times - at least twice. That Gaian will proceed to post the following form in this thread.
POINT CLAIM FORM
WINNER WINNER!
Winner: The winner's username.
Opponent: The other person's username.
Round One: [x] vs [x]
Round Two: [x] vs [x]
Round Three: [x] vs [x]
The winner walks away with a cool five points. The other person won't leave empty-handed, though - they'll get two points, for participation. And if you really think you could beat them again? You can always challenge them to a re-match, for a total of five matches per pair of players.
wink Keep in mind that someone who loses ten fights will have more points than someone who wins three fights. Points will be tallied by staff, and you can check the standings
here.
The three Gaians with the highest point total will get to pick prizes from the pool. Then, we'll raffle off the remaining pets equally among everyone who participated in the tournament.
