User ImageEdward landed the helicopter on the small landing pad he had built on his roof, he now had the Scarecrow in his pocket and that meant only six more of his fellow rogues and then his plan would be ready for motion. Walking into his hideout he quickly went to his monitoring system that gave him an eye to the city, with almost forty different screens on his wall he could watch all of Gotham. Edward could see almost everyone he was looking for, yet the Joker still alluded him. Smashing his fists on the desk in front of him "Where are you clown" Edward yelled, over the last month and a half he had been searching for the Joker, he had found out that Harley was in Arkham but for all Edward cared that was the best place for her at least until he had a use for her. Looking at the camera's on his wall he could see Ivy and Nightwing conversing in the gardens, Edward still didn't know where the Bat was; however, Edward had to admit the Bat was getting foolish with the great Enigma running around it wasn't the smartest thing to leave Gotham to the boy wonder. Boy wonder couldn't even rescue a poor defenseless woman or arrest the man responsible, Batman would love to hear about the failure of the great Nightwing. "I wonder where everyone is" Edward said as he sat down at his keyboard and began typing keys extremely quickly searching camera to camera searching for his fellow Rogues; Slade, Scarecrow, Hatter, Harley Quinn, Ivy, Ragdoll, and last but definitely not least The Joker

Enigma the Riddler

Lifting out from the dusky gloom centered at the back of Riddlers lair, the shadows stirred revealing another set of haunted souls, lured by a dangling carrot, (or maybe just there to confer with one of the few intelligent minds left in Gothams bosom) Riddler was joined by another self acclaimed genius, brain surgeon, inventor, and Madman, the Mad Hatter. Seeming to have little trouble in bypassing any traps or 'games' Edward had lain out within his fortress, Tetch moved forward towards the luminescent glow of the screens, and with him keeping pace was 'Cheshire', his personal loyal... but mind controlled White Tiger, cleverly painted to look like her namesake, the Cheshire from the storybooks, ready to destroy anything, or anyone foolish enough to double cross her master. By the looks of it, she had not been tamed in the conventional manner one was used to seeing with mind control bands, but seemingly perhaps had been surgically placed within her animal brain.

Alarmed at watching Edward lose his temper and smash his fists on the console, the Hatter spoke, "--Oh dear Edward, you mustn't elevate your blood pressure," Jervis warned, voice its usual pitchy raspy tone, "--Wouldn't want to overwork your poor heart now would we? You're mind is always, already aflutter, filled with heaps and heaps of clutter..." rhyming, and dressed to the nines in Victorian splendor, fondling his beloved Top Hat, Tetch studied the green suited male, finally revealing his intention, "--A little bird told me you're searching for a certain royal suited lunatic, and I happen to see beyond what your many eyes see, I know where the Clown Prince resides..." he cooed, perhaps making a casual play of the 'Crow' segment in Cranes alias. Laughing aloud, crazily, as if they'd shared in a private joke, (although they hadn't) he gushed, "--Oh ho! What I want? Well... I..I really don't know..." but still he'd wait for Edward to respond, adoringly stroking the back of the felines furry neck, as it responded, nuzzling against the Hatters leg.

User ImageEdward looked back and smiled over his shoulder "What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment and never in one thousand years?" Edward said to the Hatter. He listened and knew that Crane was the foolish little birdy, what piqued his interest was the fact that the Hatter knew where to find the Joker "The answer is M my dear Mad fellow" Edward said turning around with a quick twirl, as he spun on his heel he spun his cane up under his arm, walking forward up to the Mad Hatter and ringing the back of the man's neck with the hook of the question mark that topped his cane. Pulled the Hatter towards him to the point their noses' were almost touching "Tell me where he is" Edward demanded. Edward knew that the cat would attack him at any moment but that was the joy of his cane, you never knew what might come out of it.

Enigma the Riddler

In a matter of seconds, Edward had asked and answered a riddle, always the little game of his, a weakness perhaps, like Hatter with his Alice's, a crutch they simply could not shake. Suddenly corralled by the curve of the question that topped Riddlers cane, he jerked him close, demanding an answer, "--Tell me where he is." Cheshire hissed her disproval, even dared a step forward ready to pounce, but with a simple gesture of his hand without looking at her, Jervis stopped her in her tracks, and reluctantly she sat on her haunches, waiting his command. Facing Nigma down just as easily, laced with a dead calm like an eye of a storm, he chirped, perhaps a little too cheerfully, "--Gladly, consider it..." he paused, as if in thought, "--a gift... Since you like games, 'Down, the rabbit hole you will go, to the tunnels down below, past your all seeing insect eye, there a new lair you will spy, travel further, deeper down only then will you find your clown," slightly cryptic, it was obvious Tetch spoke of the abandoned tunnel system used back in the day when the North ran slaves from the South, now it seemed to be used for more heinous purposes, clearly the best way to stay off the radar... Nigmas or the Bats, for that matter. Why did Jervis want to lend a hand? Understandably, one could not say... At times neither could the Hatter himself.

An abrupt flash of static suddenly bathed the room in its pale white glow as all of The Riddler's computer screens readjusted to form a single massive video wall.

Expecting a business call, Slade lowered his eyebrows behind his mask with obvious disappointment as the first thing he noticed was The Riddler's back facing towards him. --His cane ensnared around The Mad Hatter's neck and their noses basically pressed flat against one another. It almost felt as if he was interrupting a lovers' quarrel.

"Nigma. Tetch.
--and to what do I owe this dubious pleasure...?
"

Through a series of speakerboxes, Slade's calm, yet ominous voice echoed softly across the dimly-lit room, redirecting their attention to the computer terminal.

A familiar voice sounded electronically from behind them, Slade. Twisting his face around to greet him, Jervis cooed, perhaps a little too enthusiastically, "-Riddlie here has a plan, to something, and some something that will stop the someone... Actually, he hasn't given me the details yet. But he also is on the lookout for our unpredictable friend the Sideshow Slasher... At least that's what Joker says they used to call him before he wound up in a psychiatric facility for youths. I know this why? Of course! There's nothing mind control can't buy..." the Hatter uttered madly, fingers already slipping into his pocket, lovingly stroking the plastic edging along the 10/6 circuit boards. Glancing back at Edward, Jervis raised a brow curiously, "--'Said the Alice to the Hat, how I wonder what your at?' What are we doing here?" he wined impatiently, the childish psychotic side of him seeming to flourish.

Unhinged Ragdoll

When he grabbed her by the wrist she raised her mallet and swung it bashing into anyone goober stupid enough to get in front of her oversized wooden hammer. Like a moving game of whack-a-mole wham, bam, boom and of course squish was the sound that some of their brains made leaving stains of gushy insides on the face of her mallet. It was quite easy barraging through them and to the exterior of the Riddler's holdup. Looking up at it she had a pleathera of questions spill from her lips. "Why would you want her Tiara does it have magic like her cuffs? What did his face look like when you pushed him? Do you even have bones, how you suppose we gettin' in here?" She had poked him in the arm when she asked about bones trying to see if she could feel any upon first inspection. He wasn't very brawny. Come to think of it most villains she knew where one or the other either brains or brawns but not both. Riddler brains, scarecrow brains, lobo brawns, clayface brawns, bane brawns, killer croc brawns…then off course the oddballs Mistah J was just plain old crazy and Ivy well she had powers…."I bet a brawny brainiac would give Batman a run for his money." She spoke aloud something she often did she was used to being alone at times so she had come accustomed to talking to her own self. She looked up at the fortress scanning it hoping Riddler was too distracted by one of his obsessions to see them taking it on head first.

Easily Harley had cleared a straight path from Arkham, it was but a stolen car between them, before they'd arrived not long after on Edwards doorstep, ready and waiting for answers... Well Harley was, Ragdolls motives were simpler then finding Joker, he just wanted headwear to don amidst his yarn wig. While Junior adoringly toyed with the games and puzzles Riddler had left out for unwanted guests, easily springing all of them foolishly, by accident, avoiding incident that could have crippled those unaware, Harley questioned him, one after another, Peter answering them all, sometimes in a sing songy tone, or a made up foreign accent, "--Why would you want her Tiara is it magic like her cuffs?" "--She can throw it like a frisbee! Bonus, princess crown! " he boast, marching in past the front door, cautiously somersaulting his way over a spinning blade trap, slender arm slipping an impossible reach, through the crack, bypassing security. "--What did his face look like when you pushed him?" Flipping up onto the next landing, he glanced down at her, replying, "--Oh! Brilliant, this was his exact expression!" Junior chimed, blank white mask hiding his answer, as if maybe he'd forgotten he was wearing a mask at all. Madly he replied to her next, the both of them expertly avoiding untold dangers, while the Harlequin maiden poked and prodded his lean almost emaciated body, "--Do you even have bones?" giggling, ticklish he bent himself into a handstand, gracefully one handedly dropping himself beneath the tightly knit floor panels below them, voice sounding muffled as he moved away, cinching himself through an impossible maze of architecture, "--Once was lost, now is gained, Juniors bones are no more, gone swiftly out the door. Metal, on metal, skin laced with joints... I am more Machine, more doll, then Man..." suddenly the locked door, jimmied open from the other side, allowing Harley in to the central brain of Riddlers base. Clicking his tongue from behind his mask, suddenly rubbing at his sore skin, recalling he'd need to use his emollient soon, he uttered off handedly, "--Why Harlequin, if you despise The Joker... Do you wish to seek him out?" only heeding her thoughts momentarily, he relaxed waiting for an answer, while voices hung hushed behind the walls in the distance, a group wasn't far... Edward... Slade... And... Oh, my! Jervis? Hmm, this would be a curious reunion? Had he forgotten about being pushed over the edge?

User ImageEdward smiled before looking back over his shoulder at the large single screen that showed Slade's face. Releasing his cane from the Hatter's neck, it was obvious that Thetch was speaking of the underground tunnels that ran below the subway. Edward opened his mouth but before he could utter a word he smiled evilly "Wonderful, all of comrades are here" Edward said to himself, hearing the familiar voice of Harley Quinn and the annoying chime of the Ragdoll's voice "The answer will reveal itself when the little hand touches the big hand" Edward said, a clock above him showing the time of 11:56 on the face. If any of them were foolish enough to deny him or defy him he had precautions in line to secure his plan and all the pawns to it.

Jervis snort slightly, annoyed with Edwards response, "--The answer will reveal itself when the little hand touches the big hand," waving his hand casually, the Hatter retort, "--Very well Edward, but if you intend to have us wait for your surprise, I'll at least do so comfortably," casually flipping open the face of his own pocket watch ensuring the times met even, Jervis took a seat in one of the few available chairs the tigress Cheshire coiling about his feet. 'I do wonder what Sweet Alice is up too today,' Tucking is watch away, the moments ticked by slowly, all but a minute down, leaning forward he fumbled with his hat, "--Seems Riddler dear, we're down a few rogues... Ivy, Joker, Scarecrow, Catwoman to name a few...care to indulge us on why you're so interested in the clown prince?"

"Riddlie here has a plan, to something, and some something that will stop the someone...
Actually, he hasn't given me the details yet. But he also is on the lookout for our unpredictable friend, The Sideshow Slasher...
At least that's what The Joker says they used to call him before he wound up in a psychiatric facility for youths.
I know this why? Of course! There's nothing mind control can't buy...
--'Said the Alice to the Hat, how I wonder what your at?'
What are we doing here?
"

Slade responded with only silence and a glare as Jervis rambled on incessantly, his crazed tangent revealing little of the situation at hand. --Only that The Clown seems to be a missing piece of the puzzle.

It was moments like this which caused Slade to question the competence of his allies. However he could not deny their brilliance, insane as most of them were. (Although, he occasionally needed to remind himself.)

"Wonderful, all of my comrades are here!
The answer will reveal itself when the little hand touches the big hand.
"

For the multi-million dollar assassin, time was money. Though Slade was a patient man, he certainly didn't enjoy squandering his patience.
His piercing blue gaze shifted ever-so-slightly off-camera in response to The Riddler's comment, checking the digital clock at the bottom-right corner of his primary monitor; 11:56 PM. Nearly midnight.

Eddie always was one for theatrics, pointless as they often were. --Nevertheless, his antics could be equally entertaining, and Slade appreciated a good show. Jervis, on the other hand, seemed somewhat annoyed by the slight delay, taking hold of, and examining an antique pocket-watch before lowering himself into the closest seat he could find.

Silence overtook the room for the majority of the wait, and it wasn't long before only a single minute remained. That brief moment of serenity was abruptly shattered by a sudden inquiry from Jervis...

"Seems, Riddler dear, we're down a few rogues... Ivy, Joker, Scarecrow, Catwoman to name a few... care to indulge us on why you're so interested in the clown prince?"

Before Eddie had the chance to respond, however, Slade interjected...

"I was wondering that myself.
In all likeliness, he would complicate your operation more than he could ever contribute.
I would be most disappointed if you haven't already considered that potential...
So, this had better be worth my while, Edward.

A voice chimed in unison, mirroring Slade, echoing seemingly from nowhere, until one spied painfully thin arms, slipping irregularly outwards like a spiders papery legs peeling out from a shoebox sized vent in the wall, displaying such a horrific sight, as he slowly accordioned his head and torso out, he spoke, "--The painted Harlequin and yours truly, were planning to fetch our beloved Clown Prince from his Abyss, considering if we still fancy that a splendid idea, yes? No? Survey says!?" popping out with one more final strain in his bony hips, Ragdoll flopped forward, unceremoniously landing on his feet, swiveling spineless almost, forward as his head can't gently to the side, as steady as a liquid monument. It was the horrified look Jervis was giving him that drew Juniors attention most, "--Oh right? Still bruised emotionally over me pushing you into that Quarry Hatsy? Quinn promised me a Tiara,"

Why did she wish to seek him out. That question, why did Harley wish to seek out the Joker, it was enough to floor her. She stopped blinking twice the question repeating in her head like one of her patients she imagined when she asked them about the trials and tribulations in their past. His white skin, that green hair, devil red lips the face appeared in her mind and his laugh. Ha ha ha ha ha...it was on a loop in repeat as Ragdoll's question set her into a miniature mental spiral. She shook her head and followed him through a vent just catching the end of Riddler's little speech. What was it with him and making people wait for stuff. She hated waiting. She crossed her arms rolling her eyes after she managed to pull her butt out of the narrow shaft. "Ain't no one better than finding Mistah Jay then me, even when i'm not looking." She had hadn't answered Ragdoll's question. Probably because inside of her she knew the reason, she loved him always had always would. But it didn't mean he was good for her or vice versa, toxic. But then wasn't that life? A big toxic mess. Thats how those two came to be, one toxic accident made her puddin' the mad that threw a wrench into her life. Not that she hadn't played her part.

Her gloved hand rose up to giggle when she noticed the mopped head man interact with Hatter. No one ever died around here, what good did pushing people do? She had been pushed from a window herself and came out better than before, new and improved. She stepped forward and nodded. "And a Tiara you will get, I haven't been on a shopping spree lately. I'll pick you one up myself the best I can find." She said with a wink before letting her eyes follow the clock. "Tick tick tick tock, hurry up clock!
