It was night by now, stars filling the dark skies as he walked through an open field a ways from the mansion. His mind had been a bit of a mess as he felt guilty for letting Melody leave and staying behind like he did. Even Kira had figured out he was a little depressed about the whole thing and remained quiet as he sorted out his thoughts. Gripping the handle of a viola case in his hand he came to a stop as a soft breeze rushed past and he flicked his tail back and forth. His piercing pink eyes almost shown in the darkness as he sighed heavily and let himself fall back into the grass onto his back and stared up at the sky. Narrowing his eyes as he traced the stars with his eyes.
After a bit he sat up and opened up the case, pulling out the viola and placing it against his shoulder. Dragging the bow across gently, it emitted a drawn out noise that wasn't exactly smooth. A flicker of irritation as he tried again, drawing the bow over and across then back. The sound made him cringe as he simply didn't have a knack for instruments like Melody did. Exhaling heavily in exasperation he replaced the viola in the case then looked up. He wondered if he made fireworks, she'd be able to see them. To know that he's okay. And that he was out here still hoping she was okay too. Laying back down on his back, he pointed a finger toward the sky and his hair began to give off a faint glow before he shot a firework into the air, high it soar before BANG it went off, crackled and sparkled in hues of pink and gold. A faint smile that was only washed away by his sad expression as he shot off two more, a large red one and a blue one. He waited, then shot off another, this time purple and red. He sighed, thinking about whether he should continue or not. He was likely drawing attention to himself with all the explosions and lights, but a part of him really didn't care. He was just letting off steam at this point.

Nighttime was the easiest time for him to travel - looking like he did he tended to attract a lot of attention, but the darkness seemed to help. At least if he didn't get excited, anyway. The glowing constellations that decorated his skin did attract a lot of attention if he wasn't concentrating on keeping them from shining. The goal was to get to the sanctuary without getting attacked, which so far... had been going fairly well.
He was going to make it there tonight- at least, that was the idea - but the firework display caught his attention. That wasn't too far from where the Sanctuary was supposed to be... He stood and watched the first three go off, eyes transfixed on the glowing embers in the sky for a few moments until he realized that maybe it was a Sanctuary event going on, and he could join in?
Turning off the path he'd been using to walk on, he decided to activate his preferred method of long distance travel [Shooting Star], and launched himself through the brush at breakneck speed, leaving a trail of light behind him. It wasn't long until he found the source-- He came to a skidding stop, leaving scorch marks in the ground behind him due to the friction it caused, but managed to completely stop ten feet away from where Leukos was sitting.
"Oh, shoot." Starlet announced - tone not really indicating that he thought his entrance was alarming or potentially hostile at all. "It's just one person... I thought there was an event going on!" He sighed, star-tipped tail swaying behind him as he stepped back a few paces, lips pursed in a sort of half-pout.

A faint smile was forming as the fireworks were starting to relax him a bit and he was deciding what color to make the next one as a sudden flash of light and a noise shot forth towards him and a person appeared. His eyes widened and his body began to glow, his hair literally standing on end as he rolled up into a crouch on one knee, glaring at the figure that appeared. Clearing in defense mode, he narrowed his eyes and kept a solid crouch staring at them. As the.. meta?...yes, it had to be.. As the Meta spoke, he kept a cold gaze on him. The exasperation in their second comment made him blink and relax a bit. "...it's just me... sorry." he answered calmly then slowly came to a stand. " ......I was just.... letting off some frustration..." he explained then sighed, but kept his gaze narrowed in on Starlet, unsure whether it could still be some kind of trap or not. He was already cursing himself for bringing so much attention to himself being so close to sanctuary, but in the end, he still hoped she had seen them.

The hybrid blinked in confusion, eyes focused on Leukos as he moved into a defensive stance... Oh! He stepped back a couple of steps, tail swaying with more energy as he realized he'd probably just scared the poor fellow. At least it wasn't bad enough for him to stay like that... "It's okay. I mean, this wasn't very far off my mark anyway." He shrugged, but grinned, markings beginning to shine brightly. "You do the shining thing too, huh?" The constellations on his skin flickered slightly, changing between intense bright light to fading into something easier to look at.
"Did you make the fireworks yourself??" He spared a glance to the ground, noting that there weren't any packages laying around... so either he'd brought fireworks up here out of their boxes, or had some sort of power that did it. Either way, it was pretty cool.

Leukos blinked a bit through a stoic face as it mentioned not being far off their mark. So they were trying to show up around this area, maybe Sanctuary. That made sense. Relaxing a bit further, he took note of the markings on his body. They shown almost similar to his hair which felt inviting as a common ground. If this was a trap, he was certainly falling for it. As he asked about him doing the shining thing, Leukos nodded slowly then realized he was glowing as he took a deep breath and the glow faded. "..Sorry.. it's a habit, I guess.." he muttered softly the his eyes focused and traced to constellations on his body as he glanced up to the dark sky before focusing once again on Starlet as he asked him another question. "..uhh.. yeah... I can make fireworks on my own..." Looking around a bit, then settling his gaze back on him, he spoke in a calm and smooth voice. "...do you.. want me to do it again?" he asked quietly, a little embarrassed but didn't honestly mind doing it again a few more times. It always felt good to shoot off fireworks and watch the glimmers of embers dance across the sky. It was.. relaxing for him.

Oh, so he could! A smile broke out over his face at the confirmation. He couldn't really make them himself, most of his... fireworks were of the deadly variety, but it really just made him enjoy actual fireworks all the more. "That's pretty cool!" Well, since the other Meta had calmed down, he shuffled a bit closer and then finally plopped down on the grass. A little rest wouldn't do any harm, would it? It wasn't like the Sanctuary was going anywhere.
"If you're up to it! I can't make anything like that- not really. Mine are kind of.. um..." He trailed off, thinking of the words he wanted to use... "They come down, rather than go up." That would suffice, he supposed... "Oh! I'm Starlet, pleased to meet you."

Leukos shifted his eyes away as Starlet expressed an interest in his power. As he plopped down into the grass, Leukos sighed and did the same, sitting next to him then laying back to look up at the stars. Lifting his hand he pointed his palm to the sky and shot of a few more fireworks high into the air. Blues and Gold and a glimmer of red illuminated the sky as he smiled faintly. He began to talk as he idly made more fireworks. "..come down... like shooting stars?" asked, a bit intrigued as he brought his free hand back behind his own head, resting against his arm as he stared upwards. "Hmm?" he looked over to Starlet as he introduced himself. "I'm Leukos... it's nice to meet you." he answered back before returning to look up at the night sky, and shoot off more fireworks. This was nice.

Starlet laid his head back to watch the fireworks shoot up, then explode in the sky overhead. Quite relaxing... Definitely a power he would like to have. Maybe his pyrokinesis could sort of do it, but not really... Not like a real firework. He couldn't help but giggle a little at the question, "More like a meteor shower." He shrugged a bit, keeping his gaze locked overhead. "They're too dangerous to just use whenever... but I can do fireballs?" He finally glanced over when Leukos introduced himself, flashing another wide smile. "So what're you doing out here? Do you live at the Sanctuary?"

The fireworks bursting overhead were not only comforting, but gave him a sense of longing. He paused for a moment just to look up at the stars as Starlet explained what he had meant, "...meteor shower.. huh.." he titled his head a bit as he thought it over curiously. He definitely found it interesting to say the least, "That's pretty cool, honestly.." he commented softly then thought about how it would be dangerous. "Well, I can do other things with these fireworks... explosions... really loud bang... They can be used dangerously.. but I like doing this much better..." he added to the conversation. He waited for a minute, letting the sky just remain in its mysterious darkness for the while. Turning his head to look at Starlet, he thought about the answer to his question. "I don't live at Sanctuary... I live in the mansion just up a ways... I was living there with my friend, but she had to go with some people for her safety... so I'm just... waiting... I don't know..." his feelings were mixed up about it and honestly didn't know how to explain it in a way that made sense. So he just sighed and closed his eyes before returning his gaze to the stars above.

Starlet nodded a little, transfixed on the lights overhead almost to the point where he didn't hear Leukos speaking. He had a bit of a... problem with hyperfocusing... "Mmm, I bet. I'd do this sort of thing all the time if I could." He smiled a bit and shrugged, star-tipped tail thumping against the ground as if it were shrugging along with him. "Buuuut most people seem to frown upon fireballs in the sky, haha." Not that he really blamed them, he supposed it was kind of alarming and possibly dooms-day-y....
"Oh, really?" He propped himself up on his elbows to look around for said mansion - had he passed one? It was hard to remember. Hm... "Is it yours?? That's pretty cool. I mostly just move around! At night, anyway. Kinda hard during the day. Is she in trouble??" He looked back to Leukos, attention now fully off the fireworks and on the other Meta.

Leukos began to smile, talking with Starlet was nice, it was beginning to relax him and help him forget his longing feelings to just run to Melody despite Mara's wishes. Nah, he wouldn't do that. He told her he'd stay here until Kira was gone, and he would do just that. Nothing unpredictable here, nope. Ha ha. Okay, so he was starting to feel a lot better like it was pretty hard to feel lonely when someone was laying next to you talking about life and its wonders like this.
He chuckled a bit, "I can see that... Most people start to freak out when I start glowing... Probably because they don't know what to expect, which is probably fairly reasonable.. depending, I might just flash bang and cause an explosion." he laughed a bit nervously, "... don't think they like that either..."
He quirked an eyebrow at Starelet as he looked at him and then laughed, "No, I mean, I guess... It's my great-grandmother's mansion... Though, it's just me living there right now.. I only recently got here... It's.. temporary." he then sighed and thought for a moment. "I mean, they took her somewhere safe. She would be, people want to blame her for the things her father did... he's kinda a bad guy.. but she's not. She's sweet and thoughtful and gentle... She could never be like him..." he sighed again and rolled to his side to look at Starlet. "But I trust the lady that took her in, she wouldn't let her get hurt... so I guess it's fine. I just miss her a lot. We grew up together, so it's just hard not having her there."

"Mmm yeah, same. I can get really bright, most people can't look at me when I do that, haha." Starlet shrugged a little once more - he didn't often use that power, but it had its uses.... mostly for getting away from trouble. "Seems most people don't like explosions, honestly! I guess I understand, kind of does make a mess of things... but the boom is so nice." He sighed almost wistfully, as if remembering a fond memory about... explosions... yes...
"Oh, really? That's still pretty cool, though." He nodded a bit, falling silent while Leukos explained. "Mmm, that's too bad.. Can you like... write letters? Or Email or somethin'? That could help."

Leukos couldn't help but chuckle, he'd never met anyone that could do similar things as he did. It was... nice. "I can't imagine anyone in the world that would honestly want to be in explosions... haha..." he joked, "...the boom is nice though... I'll agree.." he agreed with a faint smile. Honestly, talking to Starlet was really starting to cheer him up.
He thought for a moment, "I guess I could, but I don't know the address... I guess I could visit her if I really wanted to... Just have to stay out of the grounds of that place that has her, I suppose..." he thought again. "Or I could make more fireworks... " he started to grin and concentrated hard as his hair began to glow and shift color as he pointed to the sky again and shot another firework into the sky, as it made the shape of a star. He chuckled a bit as he shot another one and it was the shape of a purple heart. He grinned and looked over to Starlet, "Maybe she can see them, she's not too far away... Even if she can't, at least we can... which is nice.. "

"I would!! There's so much fire!" Starlet perked up, ears twitching as his tail wagged a bit against the ground. "But I guess that's frowned upon in most places." He rolled his eyes, speaking as if he'd actually had this conversation in the form of a lecture in the past.
"Well getting the address is definitely necessary for letter sending." He nodded, then turned his gaze back up to the sky to watch the fireworks again. The star-shaped one earned excited flashing from his markings, brief bursts of bright white light coming from all over his skin. "Maybe she can! That'd be nice. I'm sure it's a nice sight for her if she's watching. It sure is nice here!"

Leukos seemed to smirk at the commentation on fire. He was amused by it all, while other seemed to shy away from the idea of fire and explosions, Starlet appeared to be just as fascinated by it as he was. Nodding he sat up and crossed his leg indian style as his own speared tail began to sway happily. Finally, someone who understood him and didn't just constantly treat him as some child about everything.
"Yeah, I'll have to see about get an address or phone number or something so I can stay in contact with her..." he agreed and then leaned back on his hand to look back up, the stars in the sky twinkling softly against the dark abyss of the mysterious unknown. He smiled, "I hope so... I'm sure she's really lonely on her own... I mean, she with her chosen parent, but we never spent much time apart so it must be hard for her.. I just want her to be happy... And safe.. That part is very important." he chuckled a bit then looked over at Starlet. "Do you have any family?" he then blinked, "Oh wait, what brought you here? You said you were off your mark, were you going to Sanctuary?"
