Because things are starting to feel rather blah. (That is, we see the same three to five faces each time and while these are lovely faces that we wholeheartedly adore and appreciate, it would be nice to get to know the rest of the guild, too.) So: what can we do to make things better for you?

Would you like more contests? If so, what kind? Further games that don't necessarily have a winner like the AAY games? More chatter? About what? Were the weekly announcements about popular threads, games, and whatnot helpful and/or are something you'd like to see return? Granted, they fell off because we haven't had too much going on lately but, you know, let's disregard that for the moment. ... Gobbledygook?

Tbh I stopped being as interested in getting things going after the mascot selection. Had good reasons for the duck but it was essentially unappealing to me and I don't think it was a good choice. Gave up right there. I didn't want to say it's ugly to me in the voting process as it seemed like everyone else already liked and wanted it. Figured it was pointless to voice my opinion

Aw. I'm sorry that was what pushed you away and that you felt like you couldn't share your opinion. I'm only filling in for Zaerys so I really don't have the authority to change the mascots, but I am trying to incorporate the other suggestions from that thread into various aspects of the guild, even if they aren't as prevalent as the main three. Ember the Fox, for example, is one of the NPCs in our role-play. It seemed like a favorite option back then. So I'm more than willing to include others, too.
Which kin would you like to see?

Keeping it to the first year of the game. Well half a year. Picking from the submission thread as well as the Royalty theme. Going to stay away from TV show and internet meme stuff (sorry Doge) xD.

Machia looks pretty intimidating though and probably more suited to a more "aggressive" oriented guild.
One of the reasons I don't hang out around as much as I'd like to is bc I've realised I'm not into the stuff others seem to be into (like Pokemon or roleplaying) so I'd like to see a subforum for anime/manga discussion, so I can talk about shipping and stuff redface I'd love to see a permanent anon gifting thread too, I love those threads and that'd be a place to come back every day!~ Also, truth be told, I'm really forgetful so the announcements always reminded me what was going on or just to check the guild...I mean, I even saved the pics of the kins I was going to try to recolor for the contest about a week ago and completely forgot about it until today emotion_facepalm

Stagony would be a fun inclusion, especially since it and Cabochomp were the first "exclusive" kin. It'd be a nice nod to the history of the game. I should probably start planning another event or game, anyway, so I'll see what I can do! (Although, now that you mention it, I do kind of want to include Doge somehow.)

One of the reasons I don't hang out around as much as I'd like to is bc I've realised I'm not into the stuff others seem to be into (like Pokemon or roleplaying) so I'd like to see a subforum for anime/manga discussion, so I can talk about shipping and stuff redface I'd love to see a permanent anon gifting thread too, I love those threads and that'd be a place to come back every day!~ Also, truth be told, I'm really forgetful so the announcements always reminded me what was going on or just to check the guild...I mean, I even saved the pics of the kins I was going to try to recolor for the contest about a week ago and completely forgot about it until today emotion_facepalm
I'll talk to the rest of the crew about a subforum (because I'm trying desperately not to abuse my powers) but, at least for right now, you're always welcome to start up your own topic in Cubdrop's Chathouse! Or I can set up a temporary sticky for us to fangirl/fanboy about things. I'll admit I don't know much about anime or manga, but I can always use new things to watch and read and I, for one, don't mind reading along as people discuss what they're passionate about.
We had an anon gifting thread before (here) but it kind of just became a spot to chat. I'll do a spotlight on that, or Aleye will, in the next announcement. Or maybe it'd be easier to just start a whole new thread. Either way, giving and receiving surprises is always fun so thanks for the idea! (I'd kind of forgotten that we had that thread.)

Thank you for taking my suggestions into consideration! Tbh, I don't watch/read as many anime/manga as I used to when I was a teen, but the last years I've gotten myself into shipping hell rofl I didn't know about that thread! I really enjoy giving and receiving and seeing people get happy about gifts even if I wasn't the one that sent them or anything too~
Nope! Not much. We had a recolor contest that's just entering the voting stage. There have been some fun threads (mutant kin, future area speculation, etc.) and a few changes to LK (daily prizes, Sycamorte rewards, things like that).
I'll probably be archiving some old threads and introducing newer versions, including an anon thread, later today and that's probably one of the more exciting things to happen recently. 3nodding
