For convenience in mapping, the Funke River has been divided into two sections. Funke River North, and Funke River South. While the river flows more in a NE to SW fashion, you get the point. This is the Funke River North. This area has more rapids than it's southern half, being closer to the river's source. The river connects to Lake L'Engle at the far northern edge by way of Towzer Falls. The way is treacherous. The rapids are caused, in part, by the rocky terrain in the water. It is a thrill seeker's paradise. Along the river's edge trainer's can find Lindell's Rapids Warehouse, a place to rent kayaks and canoes.
