Emmeline lived to help people. While Emmeline was not particularly vain, the amount of times she had been hit on and asked out on dates had lead her to believe that perhaps she was relatively pretty. Emmeline would have prefered people to seek her out based on her personality, but sometimes the world was a place filled with vanity.
Having grown up alone, Emmeline had grown rather fond of the idea of helping people create their families. This wasn't the first time she had reached out to help a perfect stranger start a family of her own, and it likely wouldn't be the last. This time, Emmeline had met a rather lovely hybrid who was interested in beginning a family. Emme couldn't resist the call to help, and offered her services to the lovely Aveline. Of course, she didn't want to keep the children herself. Emmeline was seeing Stella and was going steady with her, and didn't wish to suddenly spring a child on the poor woman before they really knew how serious the two were.
Knowing Emmeline would not keep the children, nor really play a part in the children's lives ( unless Aveline and Emme became steadfast friends! ), Emmeline waited with anticipation to hear whether or not Aveline would accept her offer.
