Oh, no! I’ve inadvertently brought an apocalypse down on us. Shoot. Totally didn’t mean for that to happen. Well, since it’s here… might as well embrace it with a recolor contest. Your challenge? Recolor a kin with your interpretation of an apocalyptic color palette. Is it rust? Venom? Toxic? Does it have goggles, a machete or a machine gun? I’m open to pretty much anything so long as it fits within a loosely apocalyptic theme.
All types of recolors are welcome—hand-drawn or traditional art, digital art, and, honestly, I’m even willing to take macaroni art. (Because, let’s face it, a kin made out of macaroni would be kind of cool.)
Rules:
01. Entries must be your own original work! You can't have someone from a service or a friend make it for you. You'll be immediately disqualified.
02. You are allowed to alter your entry up until the end date. Once the contest ends, though, and voting begins, you will no longer be allowed to make any modifications.
03. One entry per person! No mules.
04. It must be apocalyptic in some way, shape, or form. Since this is your specific interpretation, please include a short explanation with your entry.
This contest will end on October 5th. The winner will be announced sometime in the next two days. (Depends on my work schedule.)

Here, how about an actual entry? 10-Karrot Apocabbot, an apocalyptic recolor of 10-Karrot Rabbot (note that this is an unauthorized recolor the original user-made kin)  Alchemists may long have dreamed of turning lead to gold, but 10-Karrot Apocabbot has achieved the reverse. Although 10-Karrot Rabbot was built to survive the nuclear apocalypse, irradiation from the devastated E-CORP facilities corrupted its marshmallow-egg based ion engine. Now reprogrammed from self-defense to aggressive attack, 10-Karrot Apocabbot seeks out more precious metals to convert and assimilate, generating ammunition and upgrades for its deadly weaponry.

That about sums it up. I like the explanation behind it! The silvery metallic grey color is just perfect for a robot, too.

Thanks - I'm actually very proud of both the recoloring job and the explanation (because I referenced the lore from the original item's description). And yeah, I gave it a darker shade than my preferred silver to really enhance the apocalyptic theme. I do have a lighter version saved if I ever get the nerve to try questing a Kin recolor ticket.

Hm. I'm torn between Junior the Shark, Pumperilla, and Neptune. You were on a Neptune kick for a while, although I haven't checked your recolor thread recently.
