Name: Kolman Oriol

Nickname: Kol, Ori, he's okay with people just using his last name too~

Age: 17

Birthday: November 30

Sign: Sagittarius

Gemstone: Watermelon Tourmaline

Blood Type: B

Fav. Food: Sushi

Hated Food: Hot dogs

School: Meadowview High School

Hobbies:
Photograhy - Having traveled a lot, Kol started taking pictures at a fairly young age so that he'd remember where he had been. At first, he was using disposable cameras and saving the photos in various photo albums his parents began buying him when he complained he had nowhere to keep the pictures. When he got his first cell phone, he started to use that instead, transferring the pictures to flash drives when the memory on his phone was full. Kol doesn't have a full-size camera and doesn't feel like he needs one to capture the images that he wants - his instagram account is fairly popular by now, after all. He has also never taken any photography classes in school, but would like to at some point.

Rock Collecting - Around the same time he started to take pictures of everything around him, Kol also started picking up rocks in places his family lived. He has a lot of random stuff by this point, mostly more "common" rocks, but each one reminds him of something that was happening during the time he picked it up. Lately, he's started actually trying to look for more specific and rare stones. He'd like to travel somewhere specifically to collect rocks at some point.

Virtues:
Generous -- For the most part, Kol is a pretty giving person. He doesn't mind sharing what he has with others - sometimes even to the point of having less for himself. If he's got a water bottle and someone says that they're thirsty, he'll hand it right over and not think twice.

Optimistic -- Definitely a glass-half-full sort of person, Kol is quick to see the positive things in any situation. When moving to a new place, he doesn't concentrate on friends he's leaving behind or missing his old school - nope! It's much better to consider being able to see new things, and make more friends wherever he's going.

Dedicated -- Anything that he decides to do, Kol will devote a good amount of time and energy to it. He isn't afraid to work hard for what he wants. If he makes a promise, he'll do his very best to keep it. If there is a difficult assignment due in class that interests him, he's going to be one of the ones to finish it, and do it well.

Flaws:
Impatient -- Whenever there's something that Kol wants to do or learn, he wants to do it right then. He often gets frustrated if there is a skill that he can't pick up on quickly. Because of his generally positive attitude, he tries to squash this frustration, but it does pop up sometimes. He also can't stand being late to things and will even go so far as being rude to hurry up other people so he can get to things on time.

Blunt -- This guy speaks his mind. If you ask his opinion on something, he will definitely tell you what he thinks - not what you want to hear. If that dress makes you look fat, he'll say so.

Argumentative -- Because of his tendencies to speak his mind, Kol has gotten into the habit of loving a good argument related to others not sharing his opinions. It's not a nice, friendly, kind of arguing, though. If he seriously gets into a fight about someone with something he feels strongly about, he is not joking around or pulling his punches. He fully enjoys getting the last word and will do almost anything to do so.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Aqua green, shape CC

Hair: Light reddish brown, this style minus the beard

Face: Freckles, average size ears, strong jawline

Clothes: School uniform is good~

Knight Title: Thonis, Page of Uranus

Challenge: Rocky times ahead!

Uniform:
Something inspired by Ancient Egyptian clothing~
Here are some ideas

Top -- see above
Bottoms -- see above
Gloves -- see above
Belt -- see above
Shoes -- see above
Shoulders -- see above
Accessories -- see above

Weapon & Magic

Page Weapon: Egyptian weighing stone. At this stage, it's just a shaped stone with no markings. It fits in the palm of his hand, and I guess he could throw it at someone but it wouldn't do a lot of damage...
Squire: The stone now has a few simple hieroglyphs, like in the reference pictures and is also a bit larger. When he grips the stone and concentrates, he can make himself lighter, speeding his movements and reactions for up to 30 seconds. Mechanically this would grant a "miss chance" to him. For example, rolling a d-100 and saying he won't be hit if the numbers are between 1-20. Whatever is fair XD
Knight Weapon: More elaborate hieroglyphs, in color, and it's a bit larger again. He can move a bit faster now, but not so fast that he can't be seen or dodged. Mechanically it would just grant more of a "miss chance". Along with the speed boost he can give himself, he can also grant it to an ally within 10 feet of himself. The effects now last for up to 45 seconds.

Summons -- What Summons does your Knight have? You must describe its appearance and the magical ability you'd like for it to have. Filling out summons information is NOT mandatory; you may leave this part blank and apply for a Summons later! This is only for players who know what they want their Summons to be, so there is no pressure to come up with something now if you aren't ready!

-- Greece

-- Germany

Languages that he can speak:

Hello, Manda!

For the most part, your quest looks excellent! I get a good sense of Kol from his profile, and the effects of his magic and the weapon evolution look good!

The only issue - and it isn't a big one at all, just a phrasing thing! - is the way you've phrased the timing on his magic; Knight magic comes out of a pool that has to be channeled, and can be divided into chunks up to the maximum. Think of seconds in a Knight's pool as mana points in an RPG, basically! So generally timing on Knight spells is phrased as an "up to [x] seconds" rather than just "for [x] seconds" since Knights can turn their magic on and off.

I can grab some examples of what I mean for you, if you'd like! But quote me if you have questions or anything and I'll be back~

Hi, Manda!

The civilian side looks great, and I only have two small notes for the powered side! The first is about the wonder--Thonis and Heracleion are two different names for the same city (so the Wonder wouldn't necessarily have to be Thonis-Heracleion, but simply just one or the other, whichever name you preferred!)

The second thing is about his attack; his squire magic is fine, but his Knight magic might be a little too fast! The flash step sounds similar to how Negaverse agents can teleport, but even experienced Negaverse agents can only teleport a few times per battle before they start feeling fatigue from it. The way this magic is written, theoretically Thonis-Heracleion could flash-step/'teleport' forty five times per battle--or, more importantly, if his whole body can move that quickly, he could very easily severely hurt or kill someone (who could not defend against him because of how quickly he was moving).

To keep the game fair, I think it might be better to say that he can move very quickly at Knight stage, but not so fast that his enemy can't see him or make an effort to dodge his attacks. But! Instead of the flash-step speed you have written for his Knight stage, he could possibly get a speed boost from his squire stage, but also grant the feeling of lightness/fastness to himself and a nearby ally while he is channeling his magic? If you don't like that idea or have any questions, please quote me to let me know and I am happy to help out or answer questions however I can!

Aah okay that makes sense! I changed the title to just be Thonis and left Squire power the same but put this for the Knight:

Knight Weapon: More elaborate hieroglyphs, in color, and it's a bit larger again. He can move a bit faster now, but not so fast that he can't be seen or dodged. Mechanically it would just grant more of a "miss chance". Along with the speed boost he can give himself, he can also grant it to an ally within 10 feet of himself. The effects now last for up to 45 seconds.

Does that work?

I confess I haven't actually read up on how battles work for this shop... is there any mechanics to it? Like dice rolling or something, or is it just all RP'd out?

That would work perfectly! If you want to plug that in, I will drop a stamp! <3

It was my pleasure!

Also to answer your questions about battle mechanics: often, in events or big battles there is a dice mechanic involved, but in most one-on-one RPs it is just RP and whatever you plot with another player! I have seen one on one battles use dice to determine who wins, if they want to keep it random, but most commonly I see people just play a battle, exchange a few blows, and then find some excuse to part ways before anyone gets severely hurt. If you have any more questions about anything, you can PM me! But for now, here is your stamp!
