like a lot of fans, I enjoy ships (increasingly, as of late, non-canon/self-indulgent ones.). and I enjoy making fan-kids of these ships. I figured why not make a thread about both?

For the record, there will be no bashing/ship-wars. State your peace and carry on. Discussions are allowed as long as they're civil.

With that said- What's your favorite non-canon ship? Why do you ship it? Is there an elaborate backstory to it? What Fan-kids did you make?

For me, I enjoy doing Mamorux -insert person- kind of ships. I have a LOT of them and some with ocs.

If I had to pick, though, my top five with him would be:

1. Mamoru x Setsuna (Because the R arc and other things. I think if he never met Usagi and met Setsuna instead during college, they could've had a cool thing going on that would've been super sweet and romantic. Also, they're both very lonely souls, so them having a family would totally be a great dream for them.)

2. Mamoru x Fiore (I blame the R Movie. I really enjoyed their dynamic together and wish there was more about just those two. I think it would've been super cute if they ended up traveling space as kids and grew up that way. Or find a way to keep Fiore on earth. It would've been a cute relationship. Fiore, not really understanding Earth-cultures and Mamoru showing him around. Obviously, Fiore would live with him so cue extra cute scenes.)

3. Mamoru x Kunzite ( More of a Silver Millennium era and Maybe Classic Anime when Evil!Endymion. This one has no explanation needed. I just really like this one. )

4. Mamoru x Seiya (Say what you will, but Seiya is a lot like Usagi (at least 90s anime wise. ) and I think based on that alone, Seiya and Mamoru would've gotten along a great deal. If Usagi wasn't in the picture, I can picture them together too. Mostly because Seiya's playful attitude and Mamoru's more introverted one would be both amusing and cute because I can see them tease each other. Just sayin'. )

5: Mamoru x OC ( Amazingly, I didn't do this for a good half decade and sparingly. But I do like the idea and I have paired him with some of my ocs, if only because I thought it would be interesting. It is. Especially if he never meets Sailor Moon and goes off to Havard earlier than expected. I've done a few where he's married and has a family before meeting Usagi. Or one where he marries someone else during the Silver Millennium but still loves P. Serenity (though this is more from the wife's perspective. ). It's pretty fun. )

I think the one I'm totally behind that isn't Usagi/Mamoru ships is Helios and Archiral Boule.

Are there fan-children? Either of those ships or by themselves?

YEP. (Share some of yours!) I have several. Particularly of Mamoru and Setsuna. (Individually and together. Will elaborate in another post. This one is getting too long!)

So yeah anyway. cat_xd Until Setsu gets back to me. We've had this thing going on as Setsuna x Tigers Eye. Been together for a long time. Got a lot of fankids too I lost count. cat_xd Something about being lonely and making up for it with a lot of kids. cat_xd

Have a friend who really likes the Usagi x Seiya ship. I gotta say they go good together. cat_3nodding

I am 100% UsagiXMamoru all the way until the very bitter end! I think this is mostly because I hated Seiya in the anime.

I also ship Rei with the guy who worked at the temple.

For me, I like having dark skin characters and Pluto was easier for me that way. Plus I had to RP Children of Setsuna and some OC (I had to make up) so I ended up developing them extensively. The only other ones that developed are my Oc (reincarnation of Nehellenia) and my other ocs that are of Usagi/Mamoru and Mamoru/Setsuna.

I too wish there were more darker-skinned senshi. I wish Sailor Midnight were here.

Yes, with Tiger and I, we have grown quite a clan. =^0^= I like to think that through all the loneliness that Setsuna has experienced, it makes sense to me that she might have many children, as a subconscious way of filling a void in her heart that has been empty for so long. So far I have about eight children written for the Setsuna x Tigers Eye pairing, not counting their adopted daughter whom I collaborated with a friend to create. (There's also the matter of Setsuna being immortal, so their time together is short.)

I've gone through a couple of re-writes for the sake of story purposes, even incorporating a child from a different timeline into the mix. It's added a very interesting dynamic to the family as a whole, for this particular child's timeline was erased by Setsuna's father, Lord Chronos, and this child has nowhere to return to.

As for Setsuna x Mamoru, I've RPed with a Mamoru in the past, but we never really got to explore the relationship with partnering, marriage, or children. (This was before Tiger and I were together.) I've always been fascinated by the possibility of Setsuna and Mamoru getting together, as they have hinted at it in the manga. There are also lines in the Sera Myu musicals that blatantly state she is in love with him. ^-^

Setsuna x Souichi also would be interesting.

I like me and Setsu. cat_xd But Im biased. I think Tiger Eye going from liking younger women to switching to an older woman is kinda amazing. cat_mrgreen I cant help it I got a major crush on pluto. emotion_awesome

I thought so. There was also a very popular move for Seiya/Kousagi as a pairing too.

Same, but only for Princess Sailor Moon (I can't help it. I really love the contrast of her and Usagi.).

Honestly? I can't either or Shingo with Hotaru. (I have seen older!Hotaru and Seiya. I dunno. But Also Seiya/Haruka and I'm like 'eeeh.' ).

Personally, I never understood the logic of Taiki and Setsuna. There was literally nothing in common with them personality wise. It always felt like 'pair the spares' with me. I can't get behind any fic/character that separates Haruka/Michiru for any reason. It's like unthinkable.

However, I could conceive of Setsuna/Seiya (along with Helios/Setsuna) only because it was part of the contest to get the most outrageous pairings but also to make it make sense. I figured Seiya and Setsuna had a common bond over unrequited love and respecting that the ones they fell for wouldn't return that affection and go on from there. I generally mixed Anime and Manga personalities- so it worked in a way.

The Yaten/Mamoru kid was a total lark. I think I only did one picture of her and her transformation item was a hairclip? I'd have to look it up real quick. n.n;
