Originally organized as an aerospace engineering firm, LexCorp has become one of the world's largest, most diversified multinational corporations. Under the astute - some would say, ruthless - management of its founder, Lex Luthor, LexCorp grew and prospered, absorbing scores of smaller businesses. While still in its original offices on the top floor of Metropolis' famed Daily Planet building, LexCorp made its first acquisitions of two then-struggling airlines, Inter-Continental Airlines and Atlantic Coast Air Systems (since renamed LexAir). As LexCorp subsidiaries, the airlines began to prosper. And when rising profits were threatened by fuel shortages, LexCorp bought out Southwestern Petroleum, now known as LexOil. In addition to its many properties in the greater Metropolis area, LexCorp has domestic holdings in Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, New Orleans, Chicago, Gotham City, and Boston. LexCorp currently maintains financial institutions, research facilities, refineries, and/or manufacturing plants in a score of countries, including Australia, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, France, the Union of South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Singapore, and the free market of Hong Kong. Competitors include Wayne Enterprises, Kord Industries, Queen Industries, and S.T.A.R. Labs.

Thoughts: A world without Superman is a lot more boring than I imagined
Equipment:
Lex Luthor. Once the multi billionaire owner of Lexcorp was a perennial enemy to the Man of Tomorrow, Superman. But everything after the Kryptonian disappeared along with all of his friends and allies made things much more boring, strangely enough. What else can he do with the free time he has now that isn't occupied by his latest schemes to rid of the alien menace? And his Warsuit, even though it gets constantly polished, is now put to use rounding up street thugs and looking good for the press. Not that he doesn't mind the latter, he actually wants the world to love him. While he slowly pushes the boundaries of his financial empire.
But in the years since the Justice League and their allies disappeared, new faces put on old costumes and took up the mantle of the AWOL heroes. Lex got worried at first, so he used his business connections and the media to find out what's going on. He only knows of one mind that could of pulled this off: Bruce Wayne, otherwise known as Batman. Sure enough, he found out that Bruce Wayne mysteriously vanished, leaving his company and the manor to a young man named Anthony Amell. It doesn't take a 10th level Intellect to connect the dots and think 'Maybe he got the Batman's toys as well'. And he's not the only one. Coast City news had reports of a man in green using a bow to dispatch criminals. He and many more began to trickle in, but one name never came across his desk: Superman.
If other people were fighting in the Justice League's stead, then why hasn't the new Kryptonian menace made his or her presence known in Metropolis? It perplexes me to no end.
Lex would love to think that his reputation is what was scaring the new Kryptonian to come out of hiding, but the late Superman was never scared of his political power. The ruffian always came barging into his office when some crime connects back to him. This new one will be no different. Wherever they are.

Sinestro Corps 🎼♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪~♩♫♪ Man, this ring sure was useful. Ordinarily, she would have to sit on a plane for hours to get all the way to Metropolis, but with her ring, she could just open up a wormhole and be there almost instantly. She just hoped it was still early enough in the night for Mr. Luthor to still be in his office. It didn't take her long to find the LexCorp building, and based on how many lights were still on inside, she'd bet that he was still here. Now, to get inside.... Cloaking herself as she got closer, she picked a random floor and phased through the wall, keeping herself cloaked as she silently looked around for some sort of direction to Luthor's office. She'd guess the top floor, but she wanted to make sure, just in case. Once she figured out which floor it was, she phased on up through the ceiling and kept going until she was in the right place, grinning to herself as she thought that this must be what it was like to be a ghost. Ah, there was the door! A quick peek inside told her that the man was still here, so in she went, phasing on through. Once inside, she willed away her Lantern uniform and got rid of the cloaking, revealing herself in her civilian clothes to the man, her yellow power ring clearly visible on her finger as she folded her arms across her chest. "Sorry to barge in unannounced like this, Mr. Luthor, but I've got a problem, and Sinestro told me you could be of assistance." Hopefully, he'd be willing to at least hear her out. Thoughts: Hmm? What does Sinestro want with me this time?

Lex Luthor's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a woman in his office, something he silently muses that does anybody know how to knock these days? He didn't turn away from the window he was staring at, not until she was fully done talking. Well at the very least, she called him Mr. Luthor, so at least showed some semblance of respect. But when Sinestro's name was mentioned, Luthor thought to himself about the last time Sinestro and him worked together.
I guess he's cashing in on some favors he owes me.
What favors Sinestro owes, he won't say. Probably has something to do with some universal ending crisis that he helped avert. As he turned to face the woman who came into his office, he notices that first of all she isn't an alien, but human. Second of all, he can see her Power ring and notes that she is part of his Corps. About time the alien recognizes the potential of the human race and the boon of having them in his forces. She can tell Lex is intrigued by her presence in his office, but the first thing he says is not the typical 'How did you get in?', but he instead says, "You must be pretty talented with that ring of yours if you bypassed all my security," and then proceeds to sit at his desk, leaning back and smirking as if he was in control of this situation, "So, what do you need my help with that your ring can't already do?"
He was asking because she was wielding one of the strongest weapons in the universe, power he had wielded before. Of course then that repulsive, greedy alien Larfleeze took it back because sharing was not something he does, but still he is plenty aware of what that ring and rings like it can do. So what does she need that she can't just will to happen through that Yellow Ring?

From what she'd heard, he was probably used to unannounced guests, even ones with powers like her. Not to mention that since she'd come to him for help, he knew he likely didn't have anything to fear from her. Still, the lack of even a "how did you get in" was a bit disappointing. Smirking at the compliment, she smugly replied, "Well, I am one of Sinestro's favorites for a reason." Though honestly, she knew it wasn't because of her talent. She was good with her ring, yes, and certainly above average for a beginner, but from what she understood, it was more because he had also been betrayed by someone he considered a friend, and had similar goals to hers. Either way, it was nice to be able to say that she was one of his most trusted recruits. Taking a seat herself and getting comfortable, she evenly met his gaze as he asked what she needed, her piercing golden eyes narrowing for a moment as she thought about how to answer. "....I need a new identity. Last anyone saw me was over eight months ago, when my unit commander left me trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building with enemy forces approaching. They may not have found a body, but considering the circumstances, I've no doubt been presumed dead anyway. And I'm sure you can see how that would severely impact my ability to apply for a job or sign for an apartment lease," she explained, her voice tinged with bitterness at the mention of George. Continuing, she said, "You have the brains and resources to get into public records to make sure I don't look like I just popped up out of nowhere. Lex Luthor raised an eyebrow at the attitude of this woman. She seemed pretty proud of her position as a favorite of Sinestro's. Honestly he didn't know the alien master of the Sinestro Corps even played favorites. After hearing her story though, it made sense. Being abandoned on a battlefield by your commander would do that to you. Still, she at least showed proper respect at who she is talking to, and acknowledged his genius and position of power, so why not do her a favor? Let it be known that Lex Luthor does help those in need. Even if said help can be considered illegal.
"I'm not one to brag, but you have come to the right person for these services. I have experience in this sort of thing, so it isn't much of a problem to help you return to normal society...for the most part," he answered with a smirk, "But if your boss knows anything about me, he knows that the services I provide are not free. I may give money to charities, but I am not a charity. So, if you want me to get you back into normal society, you are going to have to do something for me."
He doubts she would back down now. If there is one thing he knows about Sinestro, he doesn't back down or make idle threats. If she was one of his favorites, he doubts she would back down.

 >Eobard Thawn ~ Professor Zoom< Eobard ran his way to Metropolis. Making his way up to Lex Luthor's office as he had ran towards the villain/businessman. He was upset he had to get help, but he needed to get faster. The Flash he had ran into seemed unnatural to him. Making his way to the office he phased through the wall. "Ah, with someone. I'll wait." Going over to the seating he picked up one of the magazines, flipping through the pages. "So mundane and so dumb...." Tossing the magazines aside. Sprinting off and returning with several different newspapers. It wasn't much good, nothing really was, but it was a chance to keep busy for a few seconds. "Nothing good is ever reported on...." Talking more to himself as he flipped through the papers.

Scowling to herself for a moment, she thought about his words, wondering what he wanted in return. She sure wasn't going to do him any... favors, if that's what he was hoping. She was about to reply when some buffoon suddenly phased through the wall, giving him a death glare before he phased back out again. There was a window right there to see if Luthor was busy; was it so hard to use it? Also, who the hell was that? Shaking her head in annoyance, she turned back to the CEO and leaned back in her chair, replying, "I'm a former Navy SEAL and a current Yellow Lantern. I'm sure you can find use for my skills." After a moment, she firmly added, "But don't expect me to act as your bodyguard or something. I won't be constantly at your call; I've got a former commander to dish revenge on.""The only thing you have to fear... is me." Out of Cognac:

Well he wasn't going to have her be used as a bodyguard. He didn't need anymore bodyguards for that purpose, as he already had Mercy Graves and Hope for that. Amazons after all are among the toughest warriors in the world, they are naturally suited for the role. Evelyn however, she has a more eclectic and useful skillset for more than just protecting him. He was about ready to tell her what he would have use of her for when he was rudely interrupted by someone in a yellow Flash Suit vibrating in, and then back out. Does any superpowered person know how to use a door these days?
If there was a small bright spot to Evelyn and then the knockoff Flash coming into his office, it's that they aren't forcing him to explain why his door got busted down for the twentieth time. At least they aren't reckless vandals like every Kryptonian he has ever come across. Returning to his meeting with Evelyn, he didn't even skip a beat as he answered her, "Of course not. You're a busy person, so am I. Therefore, you will be someone I only call for when I need you, like say breaking into somewhere to retrieve something I need. Basically anything that I don't feel I can't already secure with my own resources. In exchange, I'll help you get back into normal society, new identity and all, even get you new employment. I can even help you find your wayward commander. Do these terms sound fair to you, Miss.....?"
All this time, he never asked her for her name. How rude of him.

It sounded like she wouldn't get called on very often, which she liked, and the sort of tasks she'd be called for sounded relatively easy. And in return, she'd get her new identity, and as a bonus, he'd get her employment and help her find George? Well, wasn't he generous. Grinning, she replied, "That sounds more than fair to me, Mr. Luthor. And it's Evelyn, Evelyn Falk." However, she did have a few questions. "Although, I must ask. What sort of employment would I be getting, and how do you intend to contact me when I'm needed?" After all, she doubted he would give her something like his personal number, which would tie him to any criminal dealings she got up to. He was too smart to commit such an enormous blunder. Thoughts: Do a background check on her whenever possible
Well, Lex would have to make one note: do a background check on Evelyn, just to confirm if her story is true. Can't be too careful these days. Evelyn however, does seem to be quite curious on what kind of job Luthor would have her do. At first he was thinking purely off the books stuff, but then he had another thought: he could keep her close by in case something comes up. It would be prudent of him to offer her a job here. Either here or in another place he owns or has connections to.
"Well, Ms. Falk, I can get you arranged with a new identity as soon as possible. I would also like to offer you a job working here or in one of Lexcorp's affiliates. I can send them over to your phone and you can look them over when you have time. As for contacting me, I will also be sending you an encrypted phone number that I will be using to contact you when I need you for....off the book work. No matter what position, we here at Lexcorp take care of our employees, so you will get medical insurance, vacation time, etc. Most of the positions are full time, at least if you want to make a decent living, but hours can be flexible if you need them to be."
Now he was telling the truth about all of this, but he did neglect to mention one thing, something he will bring up on a later date when he didn't have a guy in yellow spandex reading the Time Magazine outside his office. At least Evelyn made her presence known only to Lex, "Do you accept this arrangement, Miss Faulk?"

It was nice that she'd be able to choose from a couple of different positions in varying places. If she was lucky, there would be something dealing with a bar or nightclub, where she could be a bouncer or bartender. Pretty lowkey, allowed her a good bit of anonymity. After all, who really paid attention to the faces and names of the ones serving drinks and keeping watch? And Lex was making it sound like she'd get pretty decent pay, on top of insurance and vacation time, no matter where she chose. Of course, she took that with a small grain of salt, but still, the potential intrigued her. A new identity and a steady job with benefits, in return for the occasional odd (probably illegal) assignment? That sounded more than fair. Of course, she'd want to take a look at some official papers later and negotiate pay, but that would come when she was actually hired at her new job, whatever that would be. Getting to her feet in one easy movement, she leaned over the desk and extended her hand so they could shake on it. "Sounds excellent, Mr. Luthor. I'll let you know what position I'd like as soon as possible."After that, she set up her ring to automatically pick up on any messages Lex sent her way. This would suffice until she could get a hold of more than just a burner phone. "The only thing you have to fear... is me." Out of Cognac:

Thoughts: Great, now what?
Lex was pleased to hear that Evelyn has accepted their arrangement. It was honestly in good business to give a potential ally and employee options that suited them so they can work for you as efficiently as possible. Unless they are being uncooperative, in which case dictating things for them and how their partnership is going to work is a better solution. As Evelyn got up to shake his hand, he returns the gesture, keeping his eyes on hers and answering, "Sounds like a deal then, I believe this is going to be a very fruitful partnership for the both of us."
And just as he was about ready to see Evelyn out and deal with Eobard, there was a knock on his office door and he looked over towards it. Seeing it was one of his many employees, he told him to, "Come in," clearly not appreciating the interruption just when he was finishing business. The man, who looked no older than his mid twenties quickly came in and even though he looked alright, Evelyn could tell he was shaking slightly. So could Lex.
"Sir, you should see what's on the news," he said. Lex reached for the remote nearby and turned on the big screen television mounted on his wall to the news, reporting the occurrence happening in Queensland Park. Men, women, children all being attacked by alien starfish and the next moment shouting 'HAIL Starro'. Lex's face immediately went cold, followed by him looking at the man who brought him the news and telling him, "Get the rest of the employees to safety and barricade LexCorp, no matter what until this is solved, nobody is allowed outside of this building."
After he goes to do exactly as told, Lex looks over at Evelyn just as the building's alarms start going off, "Evelyn, I'm going to need your help for this. Get over to Queensland Park and do you best to curtail this. I'm sure that ring can tell you all about Starro. I will join you as soon as possible."
Lex then quickly goes over to the door and opens it, turning his gaze over to Eobard, who hasn't done anything since he got here besides waiting for him to be done and tells him, "You, either get over to Queensland Park and make yourself useful, or make an appointment before you leave and we can talk business after this."
Looks like I'm going to have to get my hands dirty once again. Haven't had to seriously use my suit since my last fight with the Kryptonian.
After shutting the door to his office, Lex began making calls to get his property ready for this invasion. This was his city, and he'd be damned if he let it fall to alien starfish.

Even the original was never faster than me. Help me get faster than this new flash and I will return the favor." Looks at the clock on the wall. "I'll meet you two there." Turning around he ran off. Going down the stairs as he figured less people and wait. Once on the bottom floor he sprinted off to the park, probably going to search the whole city for a single park but he was fine with it. He need to run and add to his speed anyways. OoC: Sorry if it's short -exit-

She didn't even need to see his trembling; she could feel the fear radiating off of him. Actually, now that she was paying attention, she could feel a lot of fear in the area.... What was going on? She soon had her answer as Lex turned on the TV to see civilians being attacked by what looked to be mind-controlling starfish in the nearby park. Men, women, and... children. Oh, oh hell no. Not the kids. Clenching her fists as she watched the screen, she waited until the employee was gone to suit up, simply nodding to Lex as he asked her to get over to Queensland Park to help. Before she went, though, she checked the power level of her ring. About 70%.... It would do. Telling her ring to inform her about Starro along the way, she phased through the building wall and headed out for Queensland Park. "The only thing you have to fear... is me." Out of Cognac:
