Below is the skeleton for all non-monster characters. I haven't worked through all of the details of this introduction, but for now this is the format that all characters will use when players develop them.
General Rules for Classes
Abilities: Abilities of each type are limited to 3; 2 for Standard abilities, 1 Limit ability. Players can forgo the Limit and have 3 regular abilities instead. The limit of 3 applies to Keyblade Abilities and Job Abilities. Personal Abilities are slightly different in that a player may have a total of 4 Personal Abilities; 3 Abilities unique to them, and 1 ability granted by their Teacher.
Keybladers: The Keybladers are broken down by their own typing; Valor, Wisdom and Master. Each type specializes in a form of combat, though each one has basic capabilities of a keyblader. Each type has the capacity to fight physically and use magic.
Teachers: Teachers apply for each character, which applies to both Jobs and Keyblading types, both of which will be called classes for the sake of ease. Having a teach determines what skills you'd be able to access based on both your class.
For a Keyblader, abilities granted by virtue of a Teacher fall under Personal Abilities and don't count towards the
Magic: All spells and spell levels are available in the guild. The players schooling determines what level of magic they are able to access, either by giving them more magic slots, or giving access to higher echelons of spells. At base level, all players have 4 magic slots and can access the -ra levels of spells. This access increases or decreases based on the class of the player.
Description: Valor types are the more physically inclined of the Keyblade types, specializing in pure strength over the mysticism and subtlety of magic. Though by virtue of schooling they can access spells to a lesser extent, dropping either their level of casting to the base spell, or losing access to two casting slots.
Teachers:
Roxas: With Roxas as a Teacher, the player is given the option to cast spells. However, their casting is diminished, either by losing access to two spell slots or by lowering the level of the spell to the base level.
○ Diminished Casting:: The player selects either the level of the spell and reduces it to base level (effectively losing their -Ra access), or loses two spell slots and keeps their -Ra level.
Senkei: Senkei despises magic and has trained physically to the point where he is incapable of ever using it. Players with him as a teacher lose access to their ability to cast spells completely. In exchange, the player gains a stronger resistance to magic and regeneration.
Teacher Skill Name;
○ Magic Resistance:: The player has heightened resistance to magic, similar to a natural Barrier spell, lowering the level of the spell targeting them by one stage. This ability has a drawback in that even Healing and Buff Spells suffer from this ability.
Description: Wisdom types specialize more heavily in Magic than other classes. While, like Valors, they are capable of utilizing the other skill set, they are more magically inclined. Wisdom type has the highest access to magic, able to utilize the -Ja level of spells and having eight spell slots. These levels change depending on the Teacher.
Teachers:
Sora: Sora is a much more balanced variation of the Wisdom type, therefore his students are far more balanced. Players with Sora as a Teacher are more inclined to physical combat than their counterparts. But, this comes at a price as they lose a step is casting potential. Players under Sora are stronger and can fight physically, maintaining their number of spell slots available, but can only use the -Ga level of spells.
Teacher Skill Name:
○ Balance: Players with Sora as a teacher gain the ability to select one physical skill from another class (ex: Knight, Samurai etc.), excluding their Limit Abilities. However, they lose access to the -Ja level of spells, with their highest access being the -Ga level.
Shukei: Players with this character as a Teacher have far greater access to magic, maintaining their ability as Wisdom types to use -Ja spells. As Shukei is specifically a Lightning Mage, his access to magic is far higher than other keybladers. Players who choose Shukei as a teacher can either Unlock Lightning or choose one other spell type (be it an element like Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Dark, etc. or a status boost like Cure, Barrier, Wall, etc.) and can Unlock it.
Teacher Skill Name:
○ Unlock Magic: After selecting a specific type of spell, the player increases the Base Level of the spell to the -Ra level and gains access to the -Za level of that spell as well as one of the magic limits associated with that spell.
Description: Master Types are the balance of both physical and magical combat. They are stronger than their Wisdom counterparts, but have less access to magic. Master types have access to four spell slots and the -Ga spell level. This level of magic and combat remains consistent regardless of teacher.
Teachers
Riku: Riku is the more balanced of the two Master Teachers. The perfect combination of magic and might, Riku shares an ability of the Knight class. Students who choose Riku as a Teacher gain the ability to imbue their weapon with magic at will.
Teacher Skill Name:
Magic Blade: At will, the player can imbue their keyblade with any type of magic they choose (Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Dark, Light etc.) The weapon deals damage of that type in addition to whatever properties it had before. This lasts for a maximum of 5 posts, but must be recharged for the equal number of posts used.
Magnus: Magnus is the much more brawny and physically inclined Master Teacher. Students under him are more physically capable, being stronger and more sturdy than others outside of the Valor Type.
Teacher Skill Name:
Power Boost: An ability unique to Magnus's students, they can focus their power into temporarily boosting the effectiveness of one of their attributes. For 3 posts, they can either, double their attack power, boost their defense enough to negate 1 attack, or boost one spell use to a higher echelon. They cannot use all three boosts during that duration and are left Exhausted after use for 3 posts.
