do not read the white text if you haven't read Winter's Heart (9)Rand is currently sick due to the taint on the Power, and now that he's cleansed the source, his illness will obviously not get worse, but will it get any better? I love coding...

HAHA, I've not read that far, I'm one book away.... but I don't mind spoiling the book for myself. Its still fun to read the parts between and to see exactly how the characters got where they are. In my opinion thats the sign of a good book. 3nodding

She's going to flip that someone else figured out how to Heal stilling/gentling. She's going to compete with him, just you wait and see.

Besides, am I remembering correctly when I say that, linked, a woman handling the flows can feel the taint? Well, if its not there, they're going to notice. They'll probably be disbelieving, but they're not stupid. (Well, not usually). And in reverse, the bonded sisters in the Black Tower will know whats going on.

I had always assumed it was the taint, but the origin doesn't really matter, does it? can he be healed?

However, Cadsuane is not without her hidden motives. Do remember that she is a member of the White Tower under Elaida, and that tower wishes to control Rand. She could possibly have told him that there was a taint amplifier in Callandor to scare him and keep him from using it without the aid of women. Remember that Callandor uses saidin, which no woman can see, and that the sword itself has been locked into the Stone of Tear since the Breaking of the World. Records from then are fragmented, and the Tower itself didn't form until a hundred years after the Breaking, so I very much doubt there is any truth to Cadsuane's "taint amplifier" story.
