Silvain padded quietly through the area, thinking about going for a quick hunt. It wasn't necessarily that they were running low on food - but he was restless for some reason. His familiar and friend slipped quietly through the grass after him, her tongue flicking in and out to taste the air.

"Are you planning to go out?" she asked suddenly, slithering a bit faster to wrap around one of his hind legs.

"Mm. Maybe. I don't know if I want to go alone, though," he replied, then paused with a small smile. "Other than you, of course. I know I'm not completely alone, before you say anything."

"Of course," the snake bobbed her head in a small show of amusement. Moving while the lion was standing still, she made her way up toward his head and curled loosely around his neck and shoulders, body half-hidden in his mane. "So, find someone to go with you. How about him? He looks bored," she suggested, nodding toward a somewhat ... bright-colored adolescent. "Probably be good for him to learn some hunting tips," the snake continued, verbally nudging Silvain toward the younger male.

"All right, all right. Twisting my paw, aren't you?" the lion replied with a slight shake of his head to rattle the snake a bit. There was a small hiss at that, but it was obvious she knew that he wasn't seriously trying to get her off - as she did nothing but settle in more comfortably.

Padding over to the other, Silvain paused a few feet away and bobbed his head. "Hello, I don't think that we have met...? My name is Silvain, and I was thinking of going out hunting. Would you like to come along?"

Povu had been perfectly content where he was. He had been sliding his tongue over his paw and then his paw over his mane. It didn't matter that his mane was little more that a scrap of fur on his head and neck, he loved it all the same. He had spent the morning cleaning his altogetherness and his coat practically glowed as a result. He was very keen to show off his hard work, perhaps to his mother and idol, Meltem. After he had expressed that he would like to follow in her line of work and become part of the potion makers of the pride, he liked to think that he had become her favorite of his siblings. Whether this was all in his head or not was yet to be seen.

The biggest issue on the adolescent's mind, save for the cleanliness of his person, was the matter of finding himself a familiar. He was running out of time, since it was expected that an adolescent or at the latest a young adult would find their familiar and he still had yet to do so. His mother had such a magnificent companion at her side, so why couldn't he find one? They were more elusive than some of the pride members!

He was very in his own head when a voice sharply withdrew his attention to the outside world and he found himself staring at another adult male. His mother had taken him out before, of course, but this lion did not look familiar. Luckily, Povu was spared the awkwardness of name-forgetting when the other lion introduced himself, after claiming that they hadn't been introduced.

"I'm Povu." He replied and dipped his head in return, before his eyes narrowed and he repeated the notion as though it were bile on his tongue. "Hunting?" No, he certainly did not want to go hunting. In fact, he was more than happy to just stay where he was grooming any hunt of dust from his pelt until his mother walked by, thank you very much.

But then he caught sight of the snake nestled in the other's mane and his ears perked. Maybe it would do him some good to go out and get to know someone else besides Meltem. Especially someone with such an intriguing familiar. He was quite interested in knowing how they found one another and came to be bonded with the other.

"Alright, I'll go with you." He said finally and got to his paws. Of course, his intent was purely to research and learn through observing this time. If this lion, Silvain he recalled, tried to get Povu to raise a paw in the direction of dirt or bloody his paws in any way, he would run home at a moment's notice. There was a reason Povu chose a delicate rank. It was simply because he was a delicate lion and earnestly felt that he should be treated as such.

Hmm. Well, the other male didn't seem very enthusiastic about hunting, but at least he'd agreed to go. Seda shifted until her snout was against his ear and hissed very softly, "So super excited, isn't he??" Silvain held back a snort of laughter (mostly) and shook his mane a little to get the snake to stop flicking at his ear with her tongue. That was totally the reason he was laughing... because it tickled! Not because of her so-accurate sarcastic commentary.

Turning his attention back to the adolescent, Silvain nodded with a quick smile. "Okay good! I think I heard that there was good hunting near some kind of ravine or other that's close to here." Turning, he headed off in the direction he thought that it was - thought even he would admit he didn't know this area all that well yet.
