It's the end of school, and by some circumstance, you've found yourself in detention. Today, Claire is in charge of taking care of the miscreants. The room is a small class room, with a white board, bookshelf, and desk.
You're not the only one here. A few other children are also there, serving out their time.

Claire walked into the room, a small book in one hand and a pencil tucked behind her ear. "Alright you delinquents, I'm in charge for the next two hours....don't give me trouble and I won't give you trouble." she said and sat down at the desk. "I'm going to think of some kind of punishment for you. Until then, sit still, shut up, and let me think..."
She opened the book and started jotting things down. Standing on their heads?No...running across a pit of hot coals? Can I do that? I don't think so..Claire thought quietly.
Cole sat in the back, hoping his mother didn't spot him. It was only a matter of time before she did. He had gotten in trouble for fighting. Again. This time Claire didn't get a phone call, to Cole's relief, but Claire was in charge of detention today. This was after he said he had an extracurricular activity to do.
He ducked down into his seat and groaned. He could never catch a break.

Arden sat in her desk, leaning back on two legs on her seat. So she got into detention for maybe destroying a window. During mock-combat practice. Besides, it wasn't like anyone got hurt.
...Well, maybe one person did. The one who went flying through it after her punch. But she couldn't help it! She can't control her own strength, after all.
The girl sighed, rocking her chair back and forth, already getting bored. She hated being inactive. She needed to move. Walk around. Maybe punch something. Yeah, punching sounds good. ...No, punching was bad. That's how she got here.

Rion sat quietly in his desk, fist placed firmly on his cheek. He felt so uncomfortable in this room with all the rule breakers. What he did wasn't even that bad in the grand scheme of things, he only fell asleep in class. For the fifth time. That day. As enthusiastic as he was about training to become a dragoon, all the talk of "safety protocol" just bored him. It also didn't help that he stayed up stargazing every night. To his credit, he knew very well how dangerous space could be; it's one of the easiest places to die after all. But if Orion were to die in space, he would definitely die happy.

Claire didn't know how he wanted to go about punishing the brats. She stared at the room and her eyes fell on Orion. She frowned at him and hit the top of the desk, making a loud bang. "Don't fall asleep here! I think I know what I'm going to have you kids do...but I have to run out and check on something. So don't go causing trouble...I'll be right back." Claire got up and left, but not before giving the room one last glare.
Cole's head shot up and he realized this was his chance. He could sneak out and his mom didn't have to know. He stood up without a word and walked to the window. He started looking around for a latch to unlock it so he could slip out. She didn't have to know.

Arden looked up at Clair, blinking her amber eyes at her in confusion as she declared she knew how she was going to punish them. What was she talking about?
She looked over as she saw one of her fellow 'inmates' go to the window and try to open it. She instantly recognized him. "Sparring buddy! What's up?!" she exclaimed, getting up from her seat. She joined him at the window. "What're you doing? Are you trying to bust out? Why not just punch the window? That's what I got in here for!"

Rion flinched at Miss Kojiro's outburst and moved his hand from his face. He wasn't even planning on falling asleep. Although a nap did sound nice. As his teacher walked out of the room he lowered his eyes to stare at his desk in disappointment. There was going to be even more punishment? Being trapped inside this room was already punishment enough. With a sigh he turned himself around to look out the window, only to see a couple of students already gathering around it. He frowned, the two convicts blocking his view. Eyes squinted, he analyzed them both, judging them, only to realize he recognized one of them. Rion never recognized anyone, and while he was drawing a blank with Stripe, the girl did seem extremely familiar. There was nothing about her to make a nickname from though. Wait... The Girl Yet to be Nicknamed! What was her name again, Ariel. Yeah it was probably Ariel. That was her! Wasn't she the one who got into that fight the other day when they'd first met? Figured she'd be in here. Rion stood indignantly and walked over to the two to see what outside the window was so great that they had to block his view. Granted he knew what was so great: it wasn't this room... which is why he wanted to look through the window...

Cole winced and had to stop himself from striking out as a reflex. He glared down at her, hating that innocent smile. "Ok, A. I'm not your sparring buddy...and secondly, You can't sneak out by just punching through the window. It takes the stealth out of sneaking out. My mother has ears like a bat and will be in here faster than we can get our butts back into the chair. I'm trying to find the latch. There's always a latch..." Cole started to grumpily mutter and feel around for a latch, a lock, anything. His mom couldn't know he was here! He looked down at Arden and sighed. He needed help. He needed to act fast. "If you want to be my buddy, help me find a latch..." he said. Cole looked over his shoulder and stopped on Orion. "You wanna help too?" he asked. The more hands the better, and this kid looked capable, smart.

Arden pouted. "Eeeeh? But it's so much faster! Besides, you can't get caught if you're fast on your feet!" She geared back an arm, aiming to punch the window. She stopped when Cole told her to look for the latch. "Ugh, FINE. I'll help find the stupid latch..." she grumbled, 'carefully' searching for it. She had no patience for this kind of stuff at all. None. She looked back at Rion. "Oh. You're that weird guy who asked about school. Sorry, I totally forgot your name, but you wanna do some work?" Arden was really a 'think with your fists' kind of person...

Rion was a bit embarrassed that Ariel didn't remember his name; he remembered hers after all. Well actually now he wasn't so sure; Ariel wasn't sounding right. And weird guy? He wasn't that weird was he? Did it come off that quickly? The stream of questions entering Rion's mind was cut off by Stripe's own question. Help? He hadn't come over to help, in fact it was just the opposite; he was coming over to give them a piece of his mind. Rather, he was going to think about giving them a piece of his mind while he stood off to the side a bit to get whatever glimpses out of the window he could, but he hadn't expected to be called out so immediately. All the confrontation in him fled his body as Rion prepared to respond. "Um, it was Rion. Still is Rion... I guess," Hopefully No Nickname would remember his name this time around; hopefully her name would come to him as well. He turned his attention to Stripe, curious. "Um, what exactly is it I'm helping with?" What could he be working on that he would need help with by the window? In detention... Oh he was trying to escape. Oh no.

Cole was getting annoyed with shortly. He gritted his teeth against her whining and let out a deep sigh when she turned her attention to Orion. Thankfully. He felt his hand along the window and was beginning to think there was no latch. Check the top. He thought and he balanced on his tail. He used it as a boost and stood on the sill of the window.
He felt around again and glanced over his shoulder at Rion. "Well, if you must know, I'm trying to sneak out. I can't have Mo-Ms. Kojiro, knowing I'm here. So, assuming she hasn't noticed me, I need to get out of here before she gets back. Now are you gonna help me get out of here or not?" he said. He was beginning to regret asking for help.

Arden huffed. "Well, it's quicker if you punch the window, wouldn't it? Why not just do that?" she asked. "It's not like she can get here that fast." Her eyes widened as she remembered. "Oh, yeah! Rion! That's what it was! My bad!" she said, sticking out her tongue and scratching the back of her head. "I don't really pay that much attention to names, even though I really should."
She looked up at Cole, who was now up on the window sill, searching the top now. "...You know, punching the window's a little quicker." she said again. "I can do the punching for you." She just wanted to hit something. She was bored out of her mind here. Literally. She needed to do something to get rid of her energy stat.

Rion's eyes shifted around nervously at Stripe's confirmation of his assumption. They couldn't escape; that was against the rules. Miss Kojiro wouldn't be happy about that. He looked over at No Nickname for any sort of assistance on this. He didn't know why he did; she seemed really intent on breaking out. Or more specifically breaking the window. She really wanted to break that window. Not wanting to outright reject the proposition and come off as a spoil sport, Rion tried to dance around the request. "Uh I mean, there doesn't seem to be a way to get out through there, no point in trying... I mean detention can't be that bad right?" Rion wasn't exactly opposed to these two breaking out; it wasn't his business after all, but even if Miss Kojiro hadn't realized they were there yet, she definitely knew Rion was, and if he left well, he didn't know what she'd do to him next class. It was best if they all just stayed put in his mind. Why was this guy trying to avoid Miss Kojiro anyway?

"No, what's bad is facing my mothe-damn it, Ms Kojiro's wrath, if she catches me here! And the only thing that's going to get punched, is your mouth if you don't shut up about punching!" Cole snapped and punched the glass..a little too hard. . While yelling at the two students Cole slammed his fist on the glass and cracked it. He slowly turned to the glass and sighed. Great.
"What was that!?" the students would hear from down the hall.
Cole's ears drooped and his face contorted into horror. Oh no! "Punch the window!" he yelped at Arden and got ready to bust through the glass himself. He couldn't let his mom see him! "Please punch the window!"

Arden put her hands on her hips in a huff. "Well, hey, that's rude! I'm trying to be friendly here and helpful!" she snapped, getting irritated. She crossed her arms in annoyance, her nose in the air. She heard glass crack and looked down. He had punched the window.
She heard Miss Kojiro's voice from down the hall, then sparring boy's plea for her to punch the window. She didn't need to be asked twice.
The girl geared her arm back and really let loose on the glass, shattering not just one part of the window, but the entire thing. Glass clattered to the ground, a satisfying sound to Arden's ear. She grinned at her handiwork. "I've been working on that technique for a while now! Can't wait to see what it does to boulders!" she said excitedly, looking overly proud of herself.
