Belial loved having time with his children. It amazed him still to have been welcomed into his extended family, to have his lovely mate Rennoa, and to have 6 wonderful children. It came as a shock that they were all grown up now beginning their lives on their own. Today he'd spent a great day with Raziel, one of the last to leave the nest and considering he was claiming territory beside his parents it often felt like he had never left. Raziel and Belial often had these days together. Most often just a quiet day together with a hunt for a meal and some extra to put into storage in the cool back of Bel and Ren's den.
As they rested from their hunt and meal, Belial looked at his son and realized the silence between them was different this time. There was a tension in Raziel that was rare in this son who found amusement in most everything life threw at him. Finally it became too much and Belial decided to just come out and ask....
"Is there something on your mind, son?"
