Personality: Roy is a bit of a prankster at heart and tends to wear his emotions right on his sleeve along with his already loud mouth. He says what he feels and doesn't worry about what people think he should and should not do, carrying independence in spades. What he lacks in subtlety, he makes up for in a drive to explore and adventure. However things don't always work out for him. Rules annoy him and he prefers to just cut through any beaurocratic tape, rarely pausing to stop and consider the gravity of his actions. He's genuine but he's also reckless and naive like any proper 13 year old.

Likes: Pranking, exploring, his "uncle" Xacedar, dogs, flying (his uncle knows magic), and his "cousins".
Dreams: Roy dreams about getting to know his parents and being like the stories he heard about them.

Weaknesses: He's reckless on the best of days and tends to disregard rules as he sees fit. Roy is just as likely to hurt himself as he is to do something.
Biography
Roy's parents were Heartless, who did not have the best around as being particularly reasonable. His father’s Nobody, Xacedar, was however and shortly before selling the two of them out and defecting, he took their son. He raised Roy as his uncle and kept the boy under the impression that his parents were Keybladers who just happened to die during a mission. It was easier that way. With him, his eventual wife, and two children to follow that Roy had a family to grow up with. Other than the occasional mission, his “uncle” did his best, but eventually Roy wanted more.
What Roy did wasn't exactly good. He snuck into some cargo that his uncle was delivering and ran off once they left the safety of the city. It took about a day to find him and by then, he had already been targeted by some Heartless. Roy had managed to defend himself but it wasn't until it was getting late that he summoned a crimson Keyblade to his aid. He didn't exactly defeat the Heartless- he stalled long enough for his uncle to come in and save him. It was then that he decided Roy would need actual training. If he had inherited his parents' powers then it would be only a matter of time before he inadvertently put himself others in danger. So Roy was sent off to hone his powers as a Keyblade Wielder.
His life prior to being sent into training was about as usual as one could have in the City of Light. He got decent grades in school, goofed around a little too much in his free time, and liked playing games on his phone. It was peaceful most days so he never acclimated to the violence that he would later find outside the city’s protection. His relationship with his family wasn’t strained, but he always felt a little out of step with them after finding out that no, Xacedar was not his father in the way that he thought (It was during that time his uncle told him that he was his father’s Nobody, who eventually grow to have a heart of his own with a new identity). As for friends, he had a few but most of the time he stuck with a small group of people instead of being a busy body. Leaving them wasn’t the best feeling in the world, but knowing that he could visit later was something Roy could look forward to down the line.

Family:

He raised him ever since he was a baby. Uncle or not, Roy calls him dad and their relationship is a bit akin to Batman and Robin. Roy is always pushing Xaxedar’s boundaries and patience while Xacedar keeps the boy in line with a serious tone and a firm attitude. Roy looks up to him, referring to him as the best fighter he ever knew.

Xacedar’s wife and Roy’s mother figure. Their relationship is what you might expect. She’s his mom. While she isn’t a fighter, Roy has a healthy supply of fear instilled in him from incurring her wrath a few too many times in the past.
