-( Just a little idea of mine... )-
Ghost Zone High
Ever wondered if there's more to ghosts than ectoplasm and rattling chains? You'd be right. Spooks have the same problems and responsibilities as humans, including high school. One class in particular might have more problems than most...

The door of Classroom B-4 creaked open, admitting its first occupant since the beginning of summer vacation. Flipping the light switch, Mr. Clockwork, dressed in purple suit and loud, clock-pattered tie, smiled as looked over the familiar surroundings. It was like no time had passed at all.
Floating over to his desk, he set down his briefcase and clockstaff, then settled onto his chair and began organizing. A new year, a new class...he wondered what it would be like. He chuckled; of course, he already knew.

Ember was standing in front of her locker, looking cooly at the students mulling around, trying to get to class on time.
"Why do they bother? We're already dead, it's not like learning anything's gonna help. Dipsticks." She played a chord on her guitar, catching some of the students' attention.
"Are you ready to rock?" She started playing the music loudly so that everyone in the hall would hear the sound (along with most of the rest of the school) She started to sing the first verse of her newest song, Remember.
"It was, it was September winds blow, the dead leaves fall to you, I did surrender, two weeks, you didn't call
Your life goes on without me my life, a losing game but you should, you should not doubt me, you will remember my name!"
As a small crowd started to gather around her, she yelled, "What's better rockers, Music or an education?" The students cheered and Ember smiled, pleased with herself.

Shadowspinner walks down the hall and rolls her eyes at the rambusious teen playing loud music. She ducks through the crowd to get to the locker, bumping into a few mindless students along the way. Her blucky backpack bounces as she moves round between and under students.
(Should I PM you or post a discripetion on her personality and powers?)

Just as a chord was emitted from the ghostly guitar that vibrated throughout the school, a door slammed open. In walked a young woman who strided confidently and quickly through the crowd towards the raging, rebellious teen as she played her guitar and sang. When the song was done, the woman smiled.
"Wonderful job!" she said, full of enthusiasm--false enthusiasm. "Great song! But will you move? You're blocking my locker."
The girl was, like everyone in the etheral school, a ghost; the ghost of misery to be exact. Currently, she looked like a human, however; her crimson hair was styled neatly into two points, that looked almost like horns. Her emerald eyes were slanted and gazing out at the people with a small smirk on her flawless face. Her name? Penelope Spectra.
Not that she ever went by that, of course. To her..."friends" and average classmates that she rule--guided through student government, it was Nell, while to her enemies, she was simply Spectra.
.:.:.
Not but a few minutes later, the door opened again, another ghost walking daintily though its frame. Her hair, a very light green--almost to the point of a pastel green--was, as usual, in a braided bun with the rest of her hair hanging down past her shoulders.
Her maroon eyes danced as she smiled a little; that is what she always seemed to do, smile. Unlike Daddy... she couldn't help but think, gasping as if she had said the statement aloud. Her father, Principal Dark, was an irritable man who kept an iron fist on the school.
Pushing the thought aside, Persephone--for that was her name--heard the melody of a guitar, and curiously meandered over.
(I'm so glad that Ry--Spectra was an option! blaugh But seriously, I think Spectra MUST have been my infulence on Ryanna...she looks AND acts like her...--() )

(I had a feeling you'd play Spectra. That's why I didn't take her)
Ember glared at the red-haired ghost in front of her. "WHatever, baby pop. Don't dig it." She stepped a few steps to the side, and continued her song. She then noticed that the principal's daughter was in the crowd. Of course, the kid of the "king," the guy who forces us to stay. I could probably whip up a song to make him at my command, but I'll do that later.
She finished her song, and looked out of the larger song. "Hello Ghost Zone High! Anyone up for skipping?"

"Thanks!" Spectra said sarcastically, rolling her eyes as she deftly twisted the locker combination to her locker, grabbing a few books. Now that she was done with retrieving what she needed, she stepped close to Ember, although not too close; being seen next to the singer of this great song would certainly enhance her image, no matter how much she did not want to stand there.
.:.:.
Persephone listened to the siren song, a small smile on her lips. When the singer--who was known throughout the school as someone who did not respect authority--suggested, however, that everyone should skip school, Persephone couldn't help but pale a bit. If you were smart, you didn't skip.
The reason? Her father. The punishment that her father--along with Vice Principal Walker--would doll out to anyone who skipped would most likely be gruesome. Luckily, Spectra--Persephone recognized her, but then, who couldn't in this school?--stepped up.
"How about not. These students need to stay in school to get an education!" Spectra said, speaking directly to Ember as she grimaced and raised her eyebrows. "What would Vice-Principal Walker think if you skipped?" Spectra continued to add, turning straight to Persephone.
"You," she said, pointing to her. "'Princess'." she added with a smirk as Persephone frowned a little. As her father was called "King" for his harsh "rule" over the school, she was called "princess" in mocking--a title that had been roughly dropped on her after her sister, Hecate, had graduated last year.
"You're Principal Dark's daughter," Spectra continued. "What would he do to skippers?"
Persephone shrugged before saying "It wouldn't be pretty."
(Of course I'd pick her! Spectra--and Ryanna--are both the type of characters who create problems and make plots interesting, and I LOVE RPing characters that are not all-perfect!
And by the way, kudos to anyone who knows why I picked Persephone and Hecate as the names of Pariah Dark's daughters! ^^)

"Whatever. I really don't care what the king has to say about me. Did it ever occur to you that there's a life outside of this prison? There's millions of oppertunities for those who are willing to take the risks to seize them. Are you all just gonna sit here like one hit wonders all your lives, or are you going platinum?" She smiled, looking over her audience. "Just remember this when I'm on top, and you're still sitting here. I went after what I wanted, not some stupid education that couldn't help the janitor!" With that, she made her way to the crowd, towards the bathroom doors. She looked in the mirror, examining her makeup. Exactly what the school hates, maybe I'll get expelled. That'd be easy enough. She smiled to herself.
(squee! I know. I love myths! I read them whenever I get the chance.)

Ember soon became bored with staring at the bathroom walls and exited, looking around at all her fans. Some were waving at her, and she simply nodded. "Remember my advice." She said to one, not noticing there was another ghost in front of her. She accidentally walked right into Shadowspinner. "Haven't seen you around, Baby Pop. Name's Ember, but I bet you already knew that. After all, everyone's been screaming it all morning."

"I'm new here, and no, I hadden heard your name the first hundered times I've been told that." Then she blushes, "Ahh sorry, but the screaming gave me a ghostly migrane."
