» BACKGROUND
- Freda was born and raised in a large city based on Earth He. One of the ones supported by Dragon. She led a rather normal life, got into the medical profession and eventually triggered after her younger sister committed suicide. The unexpected loss and inability to save her having broken her quite thoroughly for a while. Deciding she needed to get a fresh start for a while, she moved to New Brockton and joined up with Toybox to try to make a living and maybe do some good with her newfound powers. She has been a member for a number of years now, and spends her time doing various jobs as well as mentoring the Tinker Cape, Maglev. Who she has taken under her wing.
» TRIGGER EVENT
- Freda grew up in a city on Earth He. One of the technological wonders brought about with the help of a certain Canadian Tinker. Her life was fairly average for the most part. She had a background in medicine, but she wasn't particularly high profile or anything of the sort. Her life however changed dramatically one day, with an unexpected event that seemed to come out of the blue. Unbeknownst to the rest of her family, including Freda herself, her younger sister Anna had been facing a rather intense battle with depression. One she had been keeping hidden from everyone for some time now. Deciding she was to much of a burden and would rather people not have to deal with her any longer, Anna made her way up to a tall building in the city and decided she was going to commit suicide. With no one around to stop her, she jumped from the roof and impacted the floor below. But she didn't die, at least not right away. The emergency services arrived and took her to hospital to try to save her life. When she was told what had happened, Freda went into shock. She hadn't seen this coming, and she very much blamed herself for not noticing sooner and doing something about it. She and her sister had always been particularly close. So why hadn't she seen it? Why had she failed to save someone she cared for so much, right when they needed her the most? These questions continued to run through her mind, starting to take over her thoughts more and more until she could think of nothing else.
Considering her background in medicine, she dedicated her time to trying to save her sister. But as the week went on, Anna continued to deteriorate. As she deteriorated, so did Freda's mental health, especially regarding this situation. Thoughts turning increasingly dark, turning into obsession aimed at her sister. Death had already been a touchy subject for her. She knew some day she would have a loved one taken from her because of death. And now? She couldn't save her, it was becoming increasingly clear that no one could. And when this realization dawned on her, when it became obvious to the point she could no longer hide from it that she was going to lose her loved one, the focus of her attentions and obsession? She broke down. She was unable to deal with the reality that her sister was dying and would soon be gone. When she finally realized this and snapped, something inside of her snapped too. She didn't realize it at the time, but this was her trigger event happening, her road from who she was, to who she was becoming. A persona she was all to willing to throw herself into, to forget the pain of loss that had brought her here.
