I personally say it's great. Some may not like it. Though I have found that a wider variety of people than I originally thought actually like it a lot. If you like cute and funny with martial arts action on the side, go for it. Otherwise... I'd say rent the first disc and just watch it to see if you'll like it anyway.
Also, if you decide you like the series, go check out the manga. It's even better! In my opinion... LOL.
