Praline
Praline had been traveling with Pastella for some time now. Memories consisted of teaching her how to hunt for small prey- although it didn't seem to be her forte. Anything that wasn't alive and kicking was easier on the other's mind which we began to grow accustomed to having her around and helping her to collect her eggs with strict rules of course.
Today, he was wondering how he would approach her. They didn't sleep in dens too far away from each other any time they moved. Sometimes, they would have to sleep in the same one if the weather didn't permit the making of another den. Which he was fine being the builder of the traveling duo. It began to tax on his chest, some feelings that stirred around. He loved making her smile, doing things for her, and of course he liked that he didn't have to go in to grueling hot weather to visit her.
This time he wanted to impress her, so in the late hours of last night, he plucked abandoned eggs, making sure that they did not have any living animal in them. he gathered at least 4 eggs, and when he came up to a nest, it was abandoned, but no egg. He went to continue his search but saw an egg in the mud of the bank of the river. It was bigger than the eggs he found, and an odd color all on its own without Pastella's paints. he pawed at it until it came within reach and once in his paw he stuck his ear to it. Still warm..
He put brought it back in to the nest and went to leave. After a few steps he saw feathers scattered about. His ears panned back as he investigated further only to see a very horrific scene that even he retorted his snout from within the bushes. That egg... whatever did this.. Quickly he rushed back and pulled the egg from the nest and left. Heading back towards the den that Pastella was in. So much for a romantic experience... Placing the empty eggs in one spot and trying to find things to make a nest. Setting it up near Pastella's den.
"Hey~~! Pastella!" He called out for her as he spent his concentration on idea storming on how to make a nest..
