Tsukouru
Childhood friends, long forgotten when Tsukouru had left home. He wanted to explore! He wanted to see the world! That was just what he did when he came of age, well just a little short of that. He had found a dragon! But of course, the tale that he told his mother, she simply praised that he was home, and to never leave. He huffed, how could his mother not believe him! He was blind in one eye for try to calm the dragon down!

"Dear, you see- this is why I said never to leave home!"

"There is a whole world out there! You don't understand! It NEEDS ME to discover it!"

Slamming the door as he left. He had found his way back after having to survive the trip back home, it was hard when you were used to having two eyes. Now, it was just one. Everything seemed off balanced, and even seeing his mother for the first time in a year. She put on a medical eye patch, which of course, Tsu was NOT found of! He looked stupid, for one, for two, he was not about to wear it, it slipped and slid everywhere, and it was highly uncomfortable!

As he walked along the paths of his homelands, a thought came in to his head. He wondered if Sobie lived at the same place... He was a friend from when he was a kid, but of course, by now, Sobie would have settled down where Tsu simply couldn't. His legs were too running from beneath him the moment he was born.

Coming up to the place Sobie used to be. He remembered chasing Sobie, climbing trees, all the things that kits used to do. His paw found the door, it seemed quiet. Looking around a little and just sitting there staring at it.

"I'll be knocking and he won't be home, probably already moved away~" The wound upon his eye began to throb. It did that from time to time and he caused him hold his hand over it while he looked at Sobie's home.

"Sobie!" He called out, a bright smile came out of him. The memories gave him the courage to called out multiple times, and there was a silence as he waited for an answer. "Oh~ maybe the clubhouse!" Swinging off the trees as he glided away until his equilibrium turned from his lack of his right eye and one false move. His body was flown forward! And with that, he hit every branch upon the forest floor on the way down that small hill and finally he hit a rock that stopped him from going the rest of the way.

It hurt EVERYWHERE- but he remained upbeat. "That's one way to get down!" Coughing a little and waving a paw through his hair to wisp away the leafs caught in it.

Sobie
Sobie hadn't forgotten about his lively friend Tsukurou, not even after Tsu left to find himself, or adventure, or trouble. Whatever it was that his heart, and his feet, needed. Sobie had seen Tsu off with a smile on that day, even if a small part of him wished that Tsu wouldn't leave, his heart wouldn't dare to ask it of his best friend. Tsu needed to go, it was his dream, and Sobie understood, even if he didn't feel the same.

Even if Tsu had asked him to come along, Sobie wouldn't have left with him, maybe that was why Tsu didn't ask, because he knew in turn that Sobie had no desire to leave.

And so it went... Time passed and Sobie settled his roots even deeper into his hometown. He moved out of his parent's tree, digging a new home out of a hillside deeper in the woods. It was just a tiny dirty hole in the ground at first, but it was his and it was home. As time passed he would carved out rooms and make furniture, but as a bachelor pad it suited just fine.

When they came to visit, his parents would tut and nag, but Sobie was stubborn to his core, he'd built this home with his own two paws and wasn't about to give it up. Soon the visits began to happen with him going home to his parents, rather than them coming to him, but that was fine, they were getting older, and the tutting and nagging turned from 'make a better home' to 'when are you going to settle down and give us grandkits!' and so, these visits were not much better.

On the day that Tsu returned, they'd all been out. Sobie had taken his parents to market to barter some of his wares in exchange for things they needed and so they were not there to answer when Tsu knocked and called. It wouldn't be until evening that Sobie would bring them home, unload his cart and then head to his own dwelling in the hill past the clubhouse, the wooden front door carved with his name.

Tsukouru
No, he wasn't here neither. He knew that as soon as he walked up. It was dark inside. He remembered meeting up here, playing pirate games, adventure at every turn of a tree, all made up of course. He lived for playing with Sobie on all these adventures.. But he didn't want to leave, and Tsu knew. These games were his adventures, and Tsu was fine playing them.

He crawled inside, it was smaller than he remembered. "I need some sort of light.." Poking his head out from the small window they made and looked up, the moon wasn't up high yet. It was nostalgia, that was for sure. "Well, that was my time warp." Crawling out of it and when he did, he heard a noise. Voices, not too far out. His ears perked and his body rose. Looking back at the little club house, he patted it, only to have that part cave through.

"Nono-nononono!"

Trying to piece it together- and his paws found his head. "Ok- don't panic- don't panic Um... Gotta find a piece of something~" Taking a walk to find some piece of wood to fix it, not minding his feet to sound.

Sobie
After unloading all the things that he and his parents had traded for, rearranging the items that he hadn't gotten a good barter for more securely on his cart, Sobie swiped a paw across his brow. "Well, that's that. Perhaps we'll spruce you lot up for next time, people are fickle on what they like."

He pulled his cart home behind himself, passing beneath the old and worn down clubhouse as he always did, on the well worn path to his home, he chanced a look up and noticed how poor it was looking, deciding that he ought to tear it down before it decayed any further and someone got hurt... it wouldn't do it have it come tumbling down on some poor soul's head.

Whistling a cheery tune, he continued on to his front door, letting it swing wide open as he began to unload his wares and necessities into his home. He had dug himself out a crafting room, in the last year, so it was still very rough, and needed a lot of work. He had needing a place separate from his living space for storage of his tools and goods, he had not even gotten around to giving the room a window or a vent yet, so it was dark inside.

Once all his things were put away, he parked his cart nearby and went to go and have a look at that old clubhouse, climbing the rickety old ladder up the tree trunk and seating himself at the very top, checking the rope swing to see it it was worth saving... his mind twirling the idea of fixing it back up again one day... should he settle down and have kits... Sobie chuckled to himself. That wasn't likely to happen. Maybe he'd fix it up if a family with kits moved in nearby, that was at least more likely... so he figured 'someday'.

Tsukouru
He felt a clearer path finally under his feet and when he followed it, he came on to a carved in to hillside home. It looked, very spectacular and it looked like they knew what they were doing with their hands. He knocked on the door and waited.. Looking in to a small window, no one seemed home. His eye started to throb with along with a follow up migraine. "Hello~" He called, putting his lips to the seam of the door. Nope.

He could fix it himself, he figured. Looking around for any wood from the house and found just a slab of wood that didn't seem like it would be missed. Taking a rock and writing on the wall, 'I o U' and snatched it up. Upon the trail back he heard movement and he was sure that it must be whomever owned that house. Why? They were too close.

"Hello~!? Hey!" Finally at the clubhouse, looking around. The only thing he couldn't do, was look up, and he knew that. Every time he did, he would faint or get extremely dizzy. Hearing some movement above, he held his free hand over his eye and the plank of a wood in the other to look up. Immediately it made him mis-step and feel light headed.

"Hello up there!" He laughed, but he was in pain, being too blurry to see anything but he figured they HAD to be up there, there was an outline of someone.
"I wanted to fix this little house up, and if you are from the house yonder, then I owe you something grand." Lifting up the plank of wood. "If you don't mind!"

Sobie
It was chance that they kept missing each other, passing so nearby without noticing the other's presence until at last they met again. This must be a very fateful spot.

Sobie had his back to the trail below, poking his head into the clubhouse when Tsu came upon it with the pilfered plank of wood in his paw. The sound of a voice made Sobie's ears perk up and he clutched hard to the crumbling wood around him.

He knew that voice.

"Tsukurou?" He spoke the name softly to himself, twisting around where he sat and peering down over the edge. "Tsukurou! It really is you!"

Without hesitation, Sobie jumped down from where he had been seated, landing on all fours but swiftly picking himself up and brushing himself off. A huge smile was plastered on his maw and his dark eyes danced with delight. Pausing only the briefest of moments to look between his oldest friend and the plank of wood that he held, dismissing it and instead focusing on Tsu. Pulling him into a tight hug and then holding him at arm's length by the shoulders.

"Look at you! You're back! How long have you been back? Good gods above and below, what happened to your eye, man?" Drinking in the sight of him, and running his mouth a mile a minute before he shook his head. "Listen to me, rattling off questions like a kitten. I'm sorry, Tsu, I don't know what came over me. It's just, such a surprise, it's so good to see you again!" He let go and took a step back to give Tsu some space and breathing room, still smiling widely.

Tsukouru
Immediately he was engulfed in arms, and like Tsu usually was, he laughed at being hugged. Dropping the plank of wood and wrapping his arms around the other. Not exactly seeing who it was but they knew him which meant whoever it was, was dear to him. The voice though he recognized, and when the male gave him some space in between. He realized just who it was, Sobie. His best friend..

"Aye, I came back not too long ago. Came to see my Ma, and try and find ya! I went to ya parents place, and didn't see a'thin." { Slight pirate accent/Australian accent here }

"What are ya doin' here!? Sleeping in our clubhouse~ Aren't ya the cutie!" Chuckling as he teased and rubbed a hand through the other's hair. As he did so, blood began to stain the medical eye patch, then a drop of blood went passed the medical patch and on to his cheek like a wayward tear would.

"Aye! Surfin' the ocean, shipwrecks, hikin' the moun'tins. Lots! But the eye was a scared dragon lad! It was amazin'!!! I'll tell you the story- but I got caught up IOU-ing a lad just that way and got a plank near the place. No treasures on hand in the moment- I got to get back to ma to show you some of the stuff I got~pay back that wood guy. Ya busy, ye?" Smiling widely, he was overly excited to his friend again. They did everything together! "Oi, Sobie I'm glad to see ya. Miss ya boy~" Giving him another hug and kissing his cheek. Kissing of the cheeks in greetings was just another of the numerous traditions that he had adopted from his travels.

Sobie
Sobie was still smiling as Tsu explained, chucking and patting his shoulder. He'd had a long day and was very tired, just looking forward to getting home and going about the business of going to bed, but with Tsu's sudden appearance, all tiredness seemed to evaporate from his body, he felt at least ten years younger.

"Ah, yeah, I moved out of their tree... oh, years and years ago now. Not too long after you left. Plus we were out today, at market, bartering, you know."

With a chuckle, Sobie shook his head, that new piratey twang to Tsu's voice suited him, but it and the long day made it a little hard to follow. Reflexively he fixed his hair after Tsu mussed it up. "Slow down, slow down a touch, man. I wasn't sleeping here. I just passed by it earlier and noticed how it was so worn down. Falling apart," he nodded at the plank of wood on the ground. "I figure fixing it at this point when there's no one around to use it isn't going to be of use... Maybe if a family with kits moves into the territory. At this time, I've just got too much to do, thought I'd tear the mess down, so no one got hurt..."

Seeing blood dripping down Tsu's face and hearing about how it had happened and all of the other things that just fell out of his old friend's maw so casually, he was torn. Happy for his oldest friend, living the life that he wanted, that he dreamed about, but also worried for him... Concern twisted in his stomach, Tsu was so blasé about the injury, possibly even losing his eye.

"How about you come over to my place and I cash in that IOU with your story... That's probably my bit of wood there," he pointed his thumb over his shoulder in a quick gesture. "That's my home back there, it ain't much right now, but it's still a work in progress and it isn't falling apart even a little bit like that mess up there is."

The sudden hug was welcomed by another squeeze from Sobie, but the kiss to his cheek made him flush slightly. He cupped Tsu's face a moment, wiping the blood from his cheek. "It's a wonder, havin' you back, my friend. Come, let's catch up at my place."

Tsukouru
"Ya the one with all those wood piles?! Oi, ya really have grown up huh!?" He preened a smile, enjoying the other's presence. "I have quite a lot of IOUs- but I always pay!" Patting the male's lower back as he kneeled down towards the fort of the tree house that sat at the base of the tree. Seeing if the wood he brought would work, and it obviously didn't. Sobie was the woodworker, not Tsukouru obviously. Sizing it even so.

"I don't know. Currents change all the time, maybe by the time you are done fixing it, a family would have moved in. Com'on- Can't make'm wait. Why don't we work on it together. Tomorrow? If your not doing anything, Ya not in a rush to throw me out are ya?" Chuckling as he checked out the place but the more he looked up to inspect, the more his head began to throb and he realized with a few drops to his arm that he was, finally bleeding.

"Opps~ seem to need a tiny fix there- Can I fancy a napkin would ya?" Grabbing on to Sobie's arm to get up and as soon as he did he stumbled a little and shook his head, which made the headache worse and the throbbing near unbearable. "How did I know ya'd have one of the fanciest homes I'd ever seen. I've seen quite a few, not built in to a tree like that with a hillside, just markable." Standing and putting his hands to his hips like Peterpan would. "I guess I can't argue with the one I owe then! Off we go, lead the way Capt'n!" Patting him on the shoulder.
