Breeded Love (presequel/into to Crossed Love)
The Atlantic air blew soothingly across her scales and the scorching sands, as she causally dug her nails into the sand to retrieve a shell. Loneliness crippled the young siren as she sang her mystifying tune. Soon any male creature on the isolated isle, crouched next to the beautiful, fish-like maiden. A bird settled on her shoulder, knocking brunette curls onto a bare torso decorated with a necklace holding an ever changing stone of the sea. "Gala, Gala, Child, put some clothes and legs on before someone sees," bellowed an elder women, rocking with the sea in a row boat. Reluctantly Gala transformed her scaled tail into a sleek pair of legs. "Nana, you take the fun out of life sometimes," said Gala as the sturdy crone docked the boat on the high sand. "Oh, don't give me that old line. If I remember, it was you who landed in my lap when I was sixteen. Be lucky of your heritage, you won't be old and decrepited until long after my time," said Nana, as Gala pulled on her corset and dress. "Yes, I know, but you don't regret making that decision, do you?" said Gala with a twinge of guilt. Smiling, "Of course not, my dear. Now don't fret of time long since past, and allow me to help you," said Nana, helping tame her massive curls in a shabby bun. Gala crawled into the creaky boat, as Nana pushed off and began to row towards the village harbor.
With Nana's strong paddling, the boat soon bumped into the dock with a low hanging ladder. Gala tied the boat to a nearby ship with a skilled hand. "Why don't we get a boat of our own, instead of boring McMurry's?" asked Gala as they climbed the water worn ladder. "Because I have a feeling, it would be little use, if we had to leave," replied Nana, as they walked the busy dock, waving to those few sailors they knew. One brave sailor came up to them. "Are you Gala? I'm Marco. Me and some of the other lads were hoping to share a drink with you, miss," he requested as he bowed. Gala was about to decline when Nana answered, "Of course, she would love to. How about later this evening?" Surprised Marco nodded his agreement and ran to tell others. Watching the lad sprint away, Gala turned to Nana, "What was that for?" she inquired frantic. Unaffected by her outburst, Nana replied, "You need to get out and be with kids you own age." "My own age? I'm old enough to be his grandmother," Gala complained. "You know what I mean. And it wouldn't hurt you to go out with them. If trouble starts, hum a little then they'll be under control," said Nana, continuing towards their old wooden cottage.
Laughter and music drifted out of the pub along with the fragrance of cooked food, and dead fish entrails. It all seemed to smother Gala as she sat at the crowed table. Three other young men came with Marco. He and a blond youth by the name of Ryan stared at her, entranced by her beauty. The other two watched from afar, lounging in their stools. Haven seemed nervous as he took a lock of his tree bark hair between two fingers and only commented on her pendent. But Tynan sat straight, eyeing her from across the table. Through the simple conversation from Marco and Ryan, Tynan never looked away and Gala caught herself many times locking eyes with him. Marco and Ryan left when the clock in the sea wary pub, struck midnight, but Gala felt more alive than ever and wished to stay with her two new friends. Tynan offered to escort her home with Haven close behind. Haven preferred to keep distance though he wasn't going to leave them alone. They strolled through the darkened streets avoiding everyone. "Gala, you are the most stunning creature, I have ever had the privilege of meeting. But your most striking feature is your eyes. They remind me of the sea," Tynan said, lifting her chin. Gala gazed into dark mysterious eyes that seemed to draw her into the empty abyss beyond them. "Gala, I have waited an eternity for someone like you. Someone I know I can share our secret with. Gala, I know you're not of this world, but neither am I." Gala startled by what he stated he knew, said, "What are you talking about? Not of this world?" Haven took a few forced steps towards the couple, staying still in his silent argument. "We are vampires, and Gala, you are an alluring water siren. Do I lie?" said Tynan, allowing the sea breeze to toss about his jet black horse tail. Gala stared fearful unable to move. "But how? Why?" stammered Gala, fighting the urge to run or sing them into the sea. Tynan frowned as if hearing her conflicting urges. "Darling, do not fear. I will not harm you. Please accept us for what we are and hide our secret, as we have for you," Tynan said, releasing her from his gaze. Gala realized she had just found some one like her, an outcast in this world. "Of course, I do," Gala said, allowing Tynan to wrap his arms around her. Haven stood at a distance, watching the two disgusted.
"Gala, are you alright?" Nana asked, worried by the change in her child. Gala looked towards Nana, barely able to focus with dark luggage carried by her sea blue eyes. "I'm fine, Nana," said Gala, going to wash her face of the cold cling of sleep. "Don't lie to me, Child. You look like the waking dead. You've been out all night with those lads from the pub, again." complained Nana concern grippen, "It has been three quarter moons since you meet those rogues..." Gala enraged interrupted, "Rogue? Those rogues are the only people who understand what I go through and Tynan. Tynan is much more than a friend." Seeing her blush, Nana calls out, "Child, What are these lads? What do they do to you?" The beauty grins showing her demonic change, "They are vampires. Yes," pulling down her collar to reveal two puncher wounds, "a vampire loves me, a siren. Tynan and I are in love and have shared that love in a moment of intimacy. And..and..." But Gala faints into her Nana's arm. "My daughter, you are with child. And though I would like t take you over my knee, I will help you through this. Now back to bed with thee,'' said Nana escorting her to her bed.
The next months passed without any major events or any reappearance of Tynan or Haven. Till one moonless night, someone knocked, interrupting the silence. Nana opened the door to find Tynan leaning against the frame. "Hello, I'm here to see my beloved. Where is she?" Tynan said seductively smooth. Nana glared at the beast, thanking herself for giving Gala that sleeping potion. "I will not allow you to take her, ever," Nana said, standing firm. Tynan's suave appearance faded away, leaving him in a furry. "Hag, let me in! She is mine and so is her child," roared the vampire swing at an invisible wall. "Leave, vampire. You can't come in," said Nana, closing the door in his face and went to bed.
Gala laid, awaiting the soon birth, in her bed of feathers. Silence was a pleasant comfort, but then she heard a sound and then again. "Whose there?" she said with a quiver in her voice. "My beloved, it is me, Tynan. Come to the door and join me and the night," Tynan chooed, outside her window. Gala rushed to the door as fast as her belly would allow, but once outside, she was swept off her feet and taken away.
"Wake, women," Tynan said standing over Gala. Gala woke to find herself bound to a decrepit bed. Tynan sat next to her her on the bed. A dark damp cellar outlined Tynan's crewel, mocking face. "I have to tell you that you're an extremely ingenious girl. Swooning you was the simplest thing I have ever done," Tynan laughed, "But it doesn't matter. You will care for my child and will be very entertaining, till I do away with you. I could get my child to do it. Ha ha." Tears burned down her face, "You tricked me. Why? I loved you," Gala whimpered. "Because I wanted a cross breeded child. I plan to further breed it, till I get an ultimate species. Well, I must go. Sun will be up soon," said Tynan, leaving Gala alone with her tears. It felt like an eternity till the stone door once again creaked open. Gala laid defeated, when Haven walked to the bed. "Gala, I'm sorry. I knew what he would do, but I didn't do anything till now," said Haven and knelt to untie her. He carefully lifted her off the bed, and took her to a far off cabin that sat high on a cliff. Nana stood in its doorway, crying "My child, you're okay. I feared the worst, before Haven came," looking to Haven. "Thank you, but go before the sun rises." Haven nodded and disappeared into the fleeing shadows. Nana smiled at her, but Gala fell into her arms as a wave of water hit the ground.
Haven returned to the time worn cabin in the dawn of night, but as he approached, he noticed a glimmer of reflected moonlight near the cliff edge. He ignored it, caring more about the happenings inside. Opening the creaky door, he hears sobbing coming from a chair, siloetted by fire light. "She. . . She's gone," Nana cried as Haven approached, seeing the bundle in her arms. "What happened? Did they not make through the birth?" asked Haven fearful his attempt at a rescue failed. "No, both came out fine. She nursed it. But it bit her breast, and Gala didn't seem to mind. Then she gave her to me and wrote two letter, one for you and the other for Tynan. And... and.." but Nana couldn't finish and busted into more tears. Haven took the child, allowing her to sleep. He went to the cliff edge and found a bloody knife. He read his letter. She told him to protect Sarene, the baby and to make sure that Tynan got his letter saying she killed herself and the baby. And at the end she said, "I have returned to my true home, Farewell." He decided to take the blade as further proof. And as he came closer to the edge, he looked to the bundle and saw a smiling baby girl with a mouth full of teeth and sharp fangs. And around her neck was her mother's mystifying pendent changing into the colors of the churning sea. A bloody tear drew down his face as he said, "I promise, Gala," looking off into the horizon.

I'll think about posting it. It isn't very long, and with me, it has a lot of typos, but I'll think about it.
