 Scattered throughout Elderahn, the floating islands are small pieces of lands; the size to hold a few trees or a pond. Few of them host remains of ruins, and most have rope ladders to allow people to climb up them.

 Jack Nevermore [ Outfit ]

Jack landed on the nearby island, a very specific one. It had a large tree at it's center, a small pond next to it that poured out endlessly off the edge. it fced a few more islands, most with their own waterfalls. He sat down underneath the tree by the pond. Seeming a bit tired from all of the flying. Jack normally flew from one point to the other, never around for fun. It was never fun before until he had Nora to fly with. He wiped some sweet off his forehead with his sleeves.

Nora Lindsly  Nora stumbled a bit and almost fell when she landed,landing would take some getting used to she realized. She walked over and plopped down next to Jack under the tree. She looked around smiling, it was really pretty up here and she felt safe no one would really be able to get up here unless they could fly too. "I always wondered what it looked like up on one of these..." she said happily. She let out a deep sigh and leaned back against the tree. "I never thought that I'd actually be useful...and you know be able to...I dunno do stuff."

Jack smiled at Nora, it must be a life-changing feeling for her, one moment she was grounded the next she could go anywhere. He could always fly, or at least since he learned to walk, so it came naturally. But to a groundie like Nora it must mean the world. "Oh you could do stuff before, you're a fantastic artist--" He said, before remembering how her paintings were in ruin. Jack felt this was the time normal people wrapped their wings around another person, but felt uncomfortable with the thought. "Might abandon my family keep." He spoke out, "Move everything I have in there, find another floating island Manami doesn't know how to find, one you have to fly too.. sure no house guest but it would be safe. It would be safer for you too..." He paused, thinking for a moment. "I think there's a castle somewhere isn't there?" He asked with a raise brow, "I could have sworn there being a castle somewhere."

Nora Lindsly Nora smile faded when she heard him say she was a fantastic artist...but he called her a fantastic one which was the best compliment she had ever recieved about her paintings. "Well..I can always paint more I guess." Though she would have to get new brushes and paints and canvasses...which all cost money. Though she was sure her dad would buy all those things for her again. It was kind of his fault Manami ever met her, he invited them to stay at the house after all...But then again she wouldn't have met Jack. She gave a small shrug and looked around at the other floating islands around. "I heard some things about how there used to be a floating castle a long time ago...But I heard it sank somehow I think." her heart fluttered slightly and her smile returned, he was willing to move all his stuff just to help keep her safe. "It's not your fault by the way.." she said nervously remembering how he had felt guilty last night about it. "S-so you don't ..you know have to feel like you have to go so far out of your way just cause you think it's you're fault or something."

"Haha, classic." Jack let out hearing the castle was sunk. He felt more included to build his own floating castle, with black jack and brothel girls! He didn't gamble or like brothel girls, but they would have them anyway. "I can't live in the shadows of my family forever you know. Seems like the right time to get a proper home anyway, one where I don't get hit by rubble when I'm trying to sleep..." Manami's had her ceiling collapse a bit over the place after she left; Chloe might have had apart in it. He decided to sleep around it, but more crumbled on him when he tried to sleep. He found the library safer that night. "Eh, well, maybe I should replace them for you. Wouldn't be that weird. It is my fault Manami got out, since Chloe wasn't in her crate and--" He admitted on accident, feeling his heart sink.

Nora Lindsly Nora felt a small stab of guilt hearing about the rubble thing, that must of happened last night because the room she was in there was no rubble hitting her. "Well..there seems to be a lot of floating islands around...you could build one on one of these...They are pretty nice." She said with a small smile. Her smile faded when she heard the way that Manami got out. She was silent for several moments thinking on how all her clothes were slashed up and how years of paintings were destroyed... "She would of gotten out eventually...S-she's insane...and just..horrible. She would of found a way out." she said quietly. "She thought I was going to be home last night....I told her I wasn't going to go to the party...so she went there with a knife and expected me to be there..." she said with a small shiver thinking of what would have happened to her if Alice and her dad didn't drag her out.

Jack wanted to dig himself a bigger hole, say how he could have done this or that and it wouldn't have happened. He took a deep breath, swallowing his feelings. "She wasn't always like that. I wish you could have met her before, she was a great kid." Said Jack, still defending Manami. Trying to remind himself of how she was, who she became wasn't her. "I know you're scared of her, and your life isn't going well because of her, but.. I still think I can help her, maybe I can make a potion or something to fix her brain. That might work..." He drifted off in thought, wondering what he could mix to even start. It felt hopeless, to make a new potion like that. "Lets just.. try not to think about her for awhile.. the view is nice, and the company nicer." He grinned toothily at Nora. Jack found her company relaxing, she made him not want to release a swarm of bees in one particular flower shop again.

Nora Lindsly Nora sat in silence as he tried to defend the girl. She knew he had known her for a long time, since she was a kid...but someone doesn't just change like that over night. It had to have been there all along and she just didn't show it until she had the right person to project it on. It could have happened to someone whos aunt wasn't a town guard, she remembered how the girl and practically threatened to throw her off a roof if she didn't agree with her and disregarded everything she said. The bruise on her wrist was still there, though now it was a sickly yellow color, healing but still rather painful. She didn't want to express her fears, Manami knew where the black market was most likely and that place sold some scary things. She had read about those places in her books and they seemed to sell almost everything you needed to hurt or kill someone. Hearing him talk about trying to fix Manami made her feel nervous and uncomfortable. Dark clouds began to move in and she glared at them. She twisted her hands nervously and forced a smile at Jack and nodded. "Y-yeah...It really is nice up here."

Jack couldn't hold back laughing, seeing the weather turn so suddenly. "You know..." He smiled at her. "I'm normally really bad at telling how people feel, but with you it's nice. I only have to see what the weather is like." Jack shook his head, knowing he had to accept his limitations eventually. Unlike animating food, trying to manipulate someone's mind was a leagues above his ability. He could very well make Manami a demi-god with a lust for Nora. "I won't try." He said to her finally, "I promise if we do run into her, I'll turn her into the guard.. won't do any of my weird crap." Jack wasn't sure if he could trust his own promise, when put in the position of finding out something new, curiosity could take control. "It wouldn't be worth risking something happening to you." He admitted, wishing he didn't. He felt like he was changing somehow, missing how careless he used to feel all the time.

Nora Lindsly Nora scowled at the sky which was still rather dark but at least it hadn't started raining yet. She let out a small laugh and then sighed a bit "Well...I'll probably get the hang of it a-and then it'll be hard to tell." She gave him a glance and smiled slightly. "Lets keep the whole...weather thing between us okay? I don't think my dad or Alice have made the connection and well...I kind of don't want them to know." A lot of the times she tried to keep her emotions hidden from them, she didn't want them to know when she was pretending to be happy but was actually rather sad. Having them just look at the weather and decide how she felt didn't sound fun, they just thought the weather changed a lot here. She blushed slightly hearing that he put her well being above trying to help Manami. The weird confusing warm fluttering in her stomach returned and she smiled slightly, it wasn't an unpleasant feeling just one she had never felt before. She reached her hand over and grabbed Jacks hand and held it while staring at the beautiful view. "Thank you..." she said with a smile

"If they haven't figured that out in the decades of living with you, I'm pretty sure they won't anytime soon." Jack scoffed, Philip seemed to unaware of anything around him and Alice.. well he didn't want to start thinking of everything wrong with that woman. Jack shook his head, "No need to thank me. Really. The odds of me making the right potion to save her life, is a lot smaller than the odds that I might give her crazy magic that's specific against us." He said rubbing his chin thinking back at the festival. "That food really was supposed to talk and have feels, not come alive." Perhaps though, if Manami was dead, he could resurrect her into her old self. Jack had that look he had, a look of mischievous discovery made every time he thought of something new. His cloudy mind full of possibilities and outcomes, quickly stopped at the feel of Nora taking his hand. It almost felt like he ran into a wall, a painful feeling that involved not wanting to bend the laws of the realm. "Uh, um, well, right..." He stumbled through words deciding to instead not say anything to ruin the moment.

Nora Lindsly She let out a small laugh and nodded. "Yeah, well...I love them but they aren't the brightest." She felt a small wave of fear hearing a potion could give Manami crazy powers. She hoped Jack really would just turn the scary little oni girl in instead of trying to fix her. She had a horrible feeling about it. She glanced at him and didn't really like the look on his face and frowned slightly. Nora continued to hold his hand, her heart beating rather quickly and it felt like she had stupid butterflies in her stomach that were all throwing up at once. It confused her, she didn't know why she was feeling this way, it was something she never felt before. She squeezed his hand a bit tighter and pushed her lips together feeling nervous for some reason. "W-well thank you for the..the whole potion thing... It's pretty amazing how you made that..I mean I really didn't know I could do anything like this, I never thought I'd be up on one of these islands ever.." the clouds were parting and the sun began to shine again.

They really aren't, I could get away with it-- he stopped his own thoughts, shaking his head. Jack felt like throwing up, perhaps he ate something bad last night.. though he hadn't eaten anything at the party, or today. "Oh it was no problem, I always wanted to make one." Expensive though, but he didn't want her to know that and feel like she owes him anything. "We can go more than just a few islands, we could..." Jack began talking in excitement, thinking about how they could adventure together, see the world.. but Nora seemed like a settler. "We could visit all of the islands sometime." His stomach began to growl, if he was hungry, Nora was too. "Are you hungry?" He asked, "We should find some food.. maybe come back here later. Have a picnic or something." Was that what normal people did? Picnics?

Nora Lindsly Nora smiled at the idea of visiting all the islands with him. She looked around and saw plenty of them..That would give her plenty of time to spend with Jack. That made her more excited than the idea of visiting all the islands around town. Though that she had that thought made her feel odd and strangely guilty. "Yeah I'd like to see all the islands, that sounds pretty fun." he said smiling at him. Almost right after Jacks stomach growled hers did as well. She had not eaten the day before because her father said there was a lot of food at the party and to save room . Then the food fight happened, then the food came to life and started fighting back. "A picnic sounds really nice. she said smiling sheepishly. "I didn't even eat yesterday so yeah I'm pretty hungry."
