Gabby had been dutifully burying herself in training and other such duty things, and that afternoon was no different. She was busy hacking at training dummies, sweating bullets because the sun was finally out again (and yes, she dramatically shouted "Hallelujah!" when she came out and saw it for the first time since she woke up), but still having a good time. Sen was teaching her a thing or two; apparently he was good at it, and they came to an understanding that fights were more or less his specialty. So he'd be the brains, she'd be the body--it'd been working well so far, at least on the dummies.
"Break time!" she said as she collapsed onto her bum, setting Sen down as she reached for her water to take a drink and refresh herself a little bit. She was regimented about her breaks, though, and was soon back on her feet, sort of wishing someone would just show up and maybe train with her. Dummies were one thing, but they didn't really fight back...
"Guess I'd freak out a little if they did," she laughed, kicking at the one that she'd been beating up since she started. "But that'd be cool!"

Zane spent a lot of time napping. He liked sleep and recently he had acquired himself a buddy to cuddle and nap with which only upped the general appeal of napping.
But, some days he got an itch beneath his skin that demanded that he get up and do something.
Today was such a day because the sun was out and he wanted to feel the warmth of the rays on his skin before it could be swallowed by the approaching winter months. He hadn't been around for the last winter, he didn't know what to expect.
Up ahead, was a girl who looked pretty familiar and he found himself jogging her way.

The sudden greeting caused Gabby to fumble mid-swing and she wound up sending Sen flying off to get lodged in a nearby dummy. Turning rather red in the face, more from embarrassment that someone had witnessed that than anything else.
"Crap, you scared me," she sputtered as she turned to see the cute ginger from that speed dating thing.
"Ah, you!" the girl said, face still red but expression now more "Eureka!" than "Oh no, someone saw my newbie fail moment!" She wore a bright smile and hopped on over to him, energy levels suddenly spiking now that she had company. For the life of her she couldn't quite remember his name...
"I'm Gabby! Remember me? From that dating thing. We talked for like...five seconds and then it was all over. Which was cool, but no one stuck around after to exchange numbers. I'm pretty sure there've been a lot of booty calls between people 'cause of that night, but not my business. Honestly wouldn't want it to be my business 'cause I've walked in on too many people in the 'throes of passion'--not always passionate, by the way, I just really have to say that--to even remotely want to care what anyone from here on out gets into."
She finally took a breath. "Anyway! What've you been up to since?"
