Jack Nevermore [ Outfit ]


Jack landed by the edge of the marketplace, his wings were too large to land anywhere inside of it. He tucked them behind him and walked into the market, heading to the grocers. Jack never had a picnic before, he only harassed couples while they tried to enjoy themselves before by releasing ants. Reaching the first vegetable stall, he looked aimlessly at the food. Turnips? Did people eat turnips at picnics. 'If only I had someone to ask.' He thought, wondering if he could find Phil or Alice somewhere.

Jack felt an uneasy shiver as he heard a shriek from afar, feeling someone place their hands over his eyes and hearing that voice confirmed his fears. He shuddered as she kissed the back of his neck, his hairs standing. "Hey Vita." He groaned, pulling her hands off his eyes before turning to face her. She couldn't do that! What if Nora saw? He burned a bit, wondering why he even cared if she saw his creepy cousin.

"Wait..." He let out, looking at Vita with a raised brow. "You're a woman now, aren't you?" Jack asked with a smile. "You have no idea how glad I am you're here right now. I need your help Vita." She should know what people brought to picnics, didn't she go on expensive ones with her rich friends? "I'm planning a very special picnic, and I need help getting the perfect things for it. Can you help me?"

"R..right." He said to her comment about noticing her womanliness. Did he expect her to not notice? "I was there, you ruined my bed." He shuddered as he remembered that morning. back when he used to let Vita sleep in his bed with him because of her constant nightmares. "Er..." He let out nervously. "You could say that.. y-yeah someone.. special."

Despite her recent creepiness, or really the creepiness he always ignored, she had a lot of good things to say. "Right right, okay, one by one." He looked over at the strawberries, they did have some covered in chocolate he grabbed. Now walking to the sandwiches they had there, he grabbed a random kind. "Do you like this kind?" He asked her, Vita seemed like she had the same tastes as Nora.

Jack looked blankly at Vita, why did she have to say such creepy things? "No, no, I'm good." Said the man. "Thanks though." He said to be polite, was that polite? He paid for these, and went over to a sweetie salesman. "Brownies, right? Are these any good?" Jack asked as he took the first ones he saw. "I don't like sweets, remember?"

He didn't like the idea of drinking so high up. "I don't know, do you think I'll need alcohol? It's really hard to fly after drinking." Elderahn wasn't like their hometown, where angels would arrest you for drunken flying. He had too many FUIs to not be worried.

Jack looked at the price on the brownies Vita handed him. His face faulting as he did. "That's more than three times the price." He said to her in case she didn't notice. "I only make an innkeepers salary you know." Jack said, but sighed, buying them anyway. He did have the money from owning the inn, and his piece of the casino and clinic, not to mention his part of the brothel.. and then the vault he could open. Still, he worked for that money. Even if he hadn't gone in for the last three days.

Jack took a bottle of rose wine and sighed. Well, Vita said it was a good idea. She was a girl as far as he knew and might have some insight. "Right, right.. okay this is good. Just need a basket..." He picked the most expensive one, it seemed that Vita's strategy was to spend the most money. "And that's everything. Great." He gave her a friendly tap on the arm. "Thanks cos, see you later." Before taking off, knocking some stuff from people's stalls as he did.

Jessica walked about the market with a basket in the crook of her arm, looking for things that her niece would probably like for dinner later. She still felt horrible for leaving the girl at the clinic by accident. She'd gone home to find the dried meat and ended up falling asleep, leaving Lily to walk home all alone. Jessica shook her head and put the bad thoughts out of her mind, going to a few different stalls, looking everything over a bit, not really having anything in mind. "I should probably get some meats..." she said to herself, trying to find the cured meat stall.

Jessica hummed to herself as she looked over her options,
not exactly knowing what type her niece would like for dinner. Maybe she'll like pork tonight and lamb tomorrow the woman thought, her basket still empty since she was pretty bad at picking things out. Jessica let out a small yelp when she was bumped into, not expecting it and shifting to the side. "S-sorry am I in your way?" she asked, looking up at the man.
