Since everyone seems to like talking about gardens.
Do you have a garden? Do you want a garden? What sort of things are planted in it? Any cool tips?
Please don't answer this like a questionaire. xD;

I have 3 gardens! heart Technically two of them are my mother's, but she doesn't live with us anymore, so by default thier upkeep fell to me. I have a flower garden in the front of the house with Azaleas (which I love, they're absolutely gorgeous), tulips, creeping juniper, and tiger lilies. A tip for the tiger lilies- they will grow anywhere forever because they are just that hardy---UNLESS YOU WEED WHACK THEM. stressed My dad discovered this one for me. It took them 2 years to grow back properly.
I have a food-ish garden in the side yard of our house that includes tomatoes, strawberries, and chili peppers. The tomoatoes are supposed to be annual, meaning that I have to re-plant them every year, but.... They've grown back on thier own for the last few years. eek I have no idea why. I abuse the heck out of them because I don't like tomatoes... domokun
And I have a ritual herb garden. I grow fennel, sage, mint, cilantro, thyme, and sweet basil. Really only the sage, fennel, and thyme are used in my rituals regularly but I had to make it look like an innocuous kitchen herb garden for my dad. Generally, the herbs are the hardest thing I grow. Everything else pretty much takes care of itself, but the herbs have to be kept at 70 degrees until they sprout, and the soil has to be kept damp. But I think it's worth it.
I love gardening. I like watching things that I planted grow. I like nuturing them and harvesting my fruits. I'm very connected to the earth, so playing in the dirt with my green things is very relaxing for me. How do the rest of you feel about your gardens? Am I the only midnight gardener? lol
Sorry for the long post!!!

Long posts are excellent.
The herbs and stuff sound awesome. =D
I hate tomatoes too. Abuse them, please. They are plump and foul. XD And they grew back? O_o
Raspberries are evil for that. I mean, I know they're supposed to come back, but my gran had a raspberry bush once, and it took us TWELVE years to get rid of it. T__T And it was painful. I lost so much blood then. lol
I used to have one garden. It was pretty big. I had some sweat peas.. and some heliotrope, and allysum, and... Chocolate Orange Rudbeckia, which were really pretty. I had some other stuff too, I just don't remember. I had to move though, and the garden stayed behind. T__T

Before I moved, our old house had a natural rock garden in the backyard (sooo pretty) and my parents planted almost every flower under the sun there. If was like weeds, flowers were all over the place. Then, off to the side, I think my dad was gonna make some steps (the garden was on a short, steep hill, and behind it was a humongous[sp?] open field that never got mowed, so the grass was as tall as I was.
So anyway, dad was digging around off to the side of the garden because he was going to make some steps up to the field for my grandmother because she couldn't get up by herself. Then when my dad kept digging, he found more rocks, and all by themselves, they were shaped and aligned perfectly to make a set of steps! >.<
More on topic: Me and my mum want to make an herb garden so she doesn't have to buy her herbs anymore. It's no problem for me, as ong as I can grow some of hte stuff that I want. *hinthint*

I do/don't have one at the same time. I planted my mom's garden-y stuff around our pool in the backyard because I'm an earth/have a green thumb whereas she can't grow anything. But I don't have my own personal garden. I wish I did. We just don't have room. I want an herb garden, it'd be so convinent. I'm always running out of Rosemary and stuff like that.

Oh I wish I had a garden, but I live in an apartment. cry My mom, however has two large, year-round plants that seem to absolutely love her care. She even talks to them when they get new sprouts. It's a bit insane, but it seems to work, because they're so big they're outgrowing the house! We might have to give them away soon. crying That'll be a depressing time...

It eventually grew bigger than the chair in our living room. xD

-blinkblink- Whoa.
But talking to your plants actually does work, because they live off of the carbon monoxide that we let out when we breathe. So talking to them sorta gives them an extra boost, and they thank you for it. ^__^

I'd have my own garden but my mother is a control freak and likes to um be in control. she is an herbalist so we have a new garden around out house. We have food stuffs, herbs and flowers all mixed in willy nilly and its lined with rocks so it looks sorta castle-ish. I recently bought a plant that looked like tufla tree from Dr. Sue ss ^.^ I love plants but my mom is the ultimate gardener of doom and gets a little complex for my simple gardening tendencies. Much better. <3 Rei is proud! ^__^ You crack me up, you screwy little faerie!

I used to have a small ivy plant that we grew from a vine clipping. My parents have it now and it's all big and bushy! biggrin
Oh my goddess, have you ever tried to kill a PUMPKIN plant? That thing will grow back with a vengeance. My mom and her husband would try to chop down the one next to their door for several years. It never worked so they just keep it trimmed. Also, there is a flower bush like that there.
I would like to have a vegetable garden and an herb garden. I love aloe, venus fly traps, snapdragons, sorpresas, encore azaleas, etc. I doubt I'll have many flowers as some are toxic to my canine and feline companions. 3nodding
Yargh, I hate tomatoes too! XD I would love to grow cucumber, squash, sage, lavender, sugar snap peas, etc. xp
