General Etiquette
This is the way I and everyone else will be expecting you to conduct yourselves here. Please adhere to these rules.
- *Don't say nasty things to people for no reason. If you're pointlessly mean, a Crew member will be more than happy to kick you out the nearest airlock.
*Similarly, don't perform sex acts in public. Nobody wants to know that you're getting it on with that guy or girl over there. If you really have to take your romance to the next level, do it privately where nobody can see, although I'd rather you didn't.
*MURDER IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TOLERATED. Strangely, assisted suicide is fine, so if you really, really want to kill somebody, make sure to ask permission first.
*Don't talk in letters and numbers, because nobody understands you. Frankly, "Cey ewe ell eight are" is a bunch of gibberish. Also, asterisks hanging in the air around your actions look funny. If everyone had 2 asterisks, there would be nothing but asterisks. There would be a national asterisk shortage. So, please do not deny people those little stars if they need them. Conserve punctuation. Use paragraphs. cool
*We understand if you're ill, or can't drag yourself to the door of your house, but please try to come out and play every once in a while, or you may find your door gummed up with that black and yellow stripy tape. Please try to participate in society, maybe even be useful. It's good for the soul.
*Try to be helpful to newcomers. If they're confused and asking for help, give them a few pointers. We're nice people here in Geopolis, so we'd appreciate it if you're nice too.
*Don't run around blowing up the city and just assume you'll be fine. Please be realistic. Every action has a consequence and every crime will be investigated by the Geopolis Police. We're not some fairy land where giant spiders drop gold and nobody cares if you slay that guy with the really cool sword, we're a civilised society.
*Finally, just try to enjoy yourself. It's safer than living on a planet, right?
*If you have something to say that's nothing to do with the situation at hand, please make it nice and simple to distinguish from the rest of your post. (ie. OOC's in double brackets or suchlike)
