Shiva sighed heavily as she padded through the grasses, feet dragging on the ground. She'd been wandering a long, weary time since leaving Moyo's pride. She felt bad about leaving him, sure, but she wasn't the one he wanted. He wanted that...Leanna, even though she'd left for another pride. As Shiva had, finally growing tired of watching the pride decline. Spotting the river winding through the plains, she stumbled to the edge and lowered her head, drinking a bit before flopping to the ground and simply...resting. She needed to hunt soon, but she would drink and rest a little first.

From a nearby rock there came a deep growl. "Who are you and what are you doing in my lands?" A large spotted male lion sat, buff and black fur with golden eyes stared down at her. His head was held high as his tail flicked occasionally. His eyes held no fear, but had a strong, look in them.

Shiva sighed. It seemed she might not be able to rest for as long as she'd hoped. "Just resting a bit, good sir. I wasn't aware these were claimed lands, and I apologize. I simply hoped to rest a bit, hunt, and be on my way."

Quite a bit later, Shiva laid in the shade of their shelter, tail flicking after she rested from a hunt. She didn't dare be away for too long and leave the cubs vulnerable, but she needed to eat to feed them. She chuffed softly, calling her daughters from their hiding place.

Keely Kayin with her tail straight up trotted right out of her hiding place, without bothering to look around out of saftey, which was of course the best ever! She padded over to her mother with a smug look. Of course her mother must be proud of her totally awesome hiding place.
