Alright, today I lent out my memory card with Xenosaga Episode I Data to my friend who just got Xenosaga II. I was with him when we popped in the disc and fired up the PS2.
Well just when we thought everything was going smoothly....
*New Game*
ding*
'Would you like to load save data from Xenosaga Episode I? balh balh'
*YES*
ding*
'No data found'
Now... someone please explain to me why when I tried to load my saved data to his EVERYTHING on my memory card erased, even my saved data on Xenosaga II.
Everything was lost,
my FFX
FFX-2
KH
MGSII
and Xenosaga Episode I save data x3
Did this happen to anyone else?

gonk That really sucks, I'm sorry sad . Fortunately, that never happened to me because I only had to load clear data once that was just for my own game. Are you sure EVERYTHING on the memory card is erased? Or if it is even the right memory card and the one you had was just a blank?

Wow... Thats awefull. I feel for ya. Fortunatly mine went okay as well. I don't see what could have happened to it... Maybe it shares the same genes as my evil PSX card... It randomly likes to hide files in diffrent slots... xd
Heheh... Same games as well... Only toss in .hack and Disgaea to the bunch.

Trust me you not missing anything i load the game and I thought id get level 60 shion and all the items from the previous game...all you get is a swimsuit for Ziggy and Kosmos...although they did help a lot during the game...but still it wasnt what i hoped for.

Sorry for not replying. But anyway! My memory card isn't doing so well =( I decided to restart Xenosaga Episode I.
However still all my data is erased, I also found that over 50 spaces within my PS2 memory card is corrupted. I'm still in the interest of trying to figure out how to erase that corrupted data or recover it. I will have to contact mad katz.

However still all my data is erased, I also found that over 50 spaces within my PS2 memory card is corrupted. I'm still in the interest of trying to figure out how to erase that corrupted data or recover it. I will have to contact mad katz. Eeeeew... Mad Katz... Okay... For future note Mad Katz is prolly not the best brand for memory cards then. Cause my wonky PSX card is a Mad Katz. I would transfer and surviving data onto annother card salvage what you can.

That's the problem right their, Mad Katz.. just because it's cheaper then the Sony's Offical Memory Card, does not mean you want to buy it. Mad Katz prodects are cheap because they make them cheap. You have a 60% or more chance of losing your games with a Mad Katz and a 20% or less with a Sony memory card. 100% of all Mad Katz items I have gotten since N64 came out have crapped out on me.

I don't know how much this memory card cost because I recieved it from my younger brother as a birthday gift. =( But I think im gonna call those jerks now and tell them they really suck at making products.

*sighs* No one listens to me..peaple not worth going to all the trouble of reatsrting xenosaga 1 to load on episode 2...oh well what ever makes you guys happy. stressed
