 StoryIt's that time of year again boys and girls! Summer is upon us, which means the High School kids are being unleashed upon the world. This story, in particular, surrounds the lives of a group of friends that have known each other since kindergarten. With just a few months between the group and their final year of High School, tension is at an all-time high. Taking into consideration this may be the last summer in which they all get a break before going to college, one of the lot decided it was time to take action. Invitations were sent out along with plane tickets to get them all to their destination. With no family to deal with for the summer and being a world away from their problems, what could go wrong?

Obviously this role play is pg 13. Fade to black when the clothes start coming off. I do not want to be banned from Gaia or have this RP shut down just because some of you can’t control your characters hormones. Perfect characters will not be tolerated. Everyone has flaws and problems in their lives. Your character can downplay on their issues but they can’t just have no issues in their lives, that just isn’t realistic. Plot with everyone. ALL of these characters have known one another since kindergarten so the whole ‘I don’t know him’ crap won’t cut it. Talk to everyone and include everyone. I do not want anyone feeling left out. That being said, I do pay attention and if you come to me saying you aren’t being included and you are, you will be called on your bullshit. Save the drama for the characters. I want everyone to have fun with this rp. Try not to take something another character does to yours personally. That reminds me, cursing. While our characters are high school age, not all of us are. Some of us do not have a filter. Thankfully gaia and discord both do. Don’t want to see the words we are using? Switch on the filters and all you’ll see are stars. This being said, I would suggest anyone under the age of eighteen ask their parents permission to use discord before joining, if you do not have it already. I do not want an angry message to me saying how I introduced their innocent little peanut to something they shouldn’t have access to.
ᴀᴘᴘʟʏɪɴɢ
Obviously, if you are interested you are going to want to apply. Head on over to the ‘Applications’ thread and fill out the cute little form I have waiting for you. Fill out everything to the fullest and do not change any of my coding. Quote both Aezoul and LunarReverie. Should you fail to do this your application will not be warranted a response. We will both go over your profile and get back to you ASAP. If you’ve quoted both of us then one of us will let you know if you’ve been accepted into the roleplay or not. Once you have been accepted either Aezoul or LunarReverie will shoot you a pm with the link to the profile skeletons and the link to the discord. Post your profiles in your own little test thread and post the link in the apps thread once you’ve finished. The title of the link should be a set of lyrics from the song ‘Lightning In A Bottle’. If the link is titled as anything else it will be overlooked until fixed. From the time you’ve been accepted and receive the PM you have 24 hours to join the discord and 3 days(72 Hours) to finish the profiles and get them in. If you miss one of these deadlines you will be allowed to reapply but your reserve will be taken down and the spot reopened.
ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀs
First things first, real face claims only. They must look like the age you are trying to portray their character as. A 30-year-old will not pass for being 17 or 18. I will look up everyone’s fc’s to make sure I’m not accepting anyone who is too old to be playing a teenager. However, if said 30-year-old has some older photos where they look like they could pass for a teenager and you use only those, that face claim may be used. I don’t care if they played a teenager on television in the last four months if I say they are or look too old, then you will be expected to change to a different face claim. As these are high school seniors, you are stuck with choosing between seventeen and eighteen. No one older and no one younger than that. All sexualities, gender identities, ethnicities, religions, and whatever else I'm forgetting are totally welcome in this roleplay. We will be watching to make sure the numbers even out (cause I’m an obsessive control freak like that). This means If I have two guys who are attracted to guys, then I need two girls to be attracted to girls and vise versa. Not everyone is going to be as straight as ********. These characters won’t curse every other word. High schoolers, remember? Try to keep their speech a little cleaner than you would your own. We do not want all fourteen characters to be badasses with a daddy issue or innocent little peanuts who are shy as ********. Read up on the existing characters and create someone different.
Pᴏsᴛɪɴɢ ﹠ Dᴇᴅɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ
Everyone has lives, and I understand that. Real life before Gaia every time. This being said, you need to be able to post at least twice a week. I want this role play to go on for hundreds of pages, it won’t last that long if everyone only posts once every month. Yes, it is nice to have a relaxed roleplay. Yes, I will probably be lax on this rule. I will also be a b***h about it if I’m not getting posts. Each post needs to be decorated with at least a name and picture of your character. No bright colors, we don’t need to blind those with sensitive eyes. Posts should be four hundred words apiece. More would be awesome, but not required. Make sure grammar and spelling are decent. I, myself, tend to mess up as well. I will let you know if you misspell words. Only warning of this, sorry not sorry. This roleplay is not ditch friendly. If you ditch without warning then you will be put on a permanent s**t list for future rps we have. If you have to leave for an extended amount of time then let us know, we will understand and your character will be put on the back burner and kept safe until you return. If your return date pops up and we don’t hear from you, the character will be dropped so that we can bring in a new one. Communication is key to keeping this rp alive. This is why our OOC is on discord instead of on Gaia. Discord is easier to access at all times, and people are more likely to stay in contact on there. There will not be a posting order. If we have to implement one to encourage you guys to post, we will not be happy campers.

If you’ve made it this far without skimming through the rules, congratulations! Any new rules will be posted here for a week before being moved to their proper categories. Don’t worry about keeping an eye on the rules, I will update everyone whenever a new rule is added. We reserve the right to add or delete any rules as we see fit. Since this RP is a group effort the Mods and I will run decisions by each other. This means everything is run past one another. So if one of us has said something, the other probably already knows about it so that we can keep things consistent when we are giving you guys information. If after making it to this point, you are confused and have a question feel free to shoot one of us a private message. If you are in the discord and have a question there is a question and answer channel. Post questions there and one, or both of us, will take the time to answer said questions. I think I’ve said this once already, but I’m going to say it again anyway. Include everyone when making conversation outside of your characters. We do not want anyone feeling left out for any reason. Also, this is not strictly a summer role play. It is our characters using their summer break to spend time away from family and with some of their oldest and closest friends. In the first character post you make, after the role play has opened, include a dramallama somewhere in the post. This will let me know that you did actually read everything.

▶NOTE; You are responsible for posting regularly, and maintaining a regular progression of time. I will only keep the current day going for around 5-6 pages in the IC. Once we hit the top of that 7th page, I will be transitioning to a different day. Make sure your post accomplishes something. or gets your character somewhere - in other words. I'm not saying it has to span for a long time, but should span for longer than say, five minutes. If we go a good four pages without accomplishing anything, really, I will take the liberty of time skipping to another point in the day.
