The first single from OOMPH!'s new CD has caused a lot of controversy, nein? It's been boycotted and used as a learning tool in schools and censured and all that fun stuff; what's your take?

Aye, my thought is rather funny.
When I first heard it, I barely know German. SO I said IT SOUNDS LIKE GOD IS A POPSTAR. then later traslating it- Im good. xD

*Thumbs up* That's one of the beauties of ze language; it can be so close to English word-wise! :3
Personally, I'd love to see the reaction if it were to be released here. (But it'd have to be in English, of course... don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it being in English, but it's more fun in German as far as I'm concerned. X3 ) The panic wouldn't be as bad in Canada; as far as I'm aware, we're less religious here. But would it be boycotted and all that junk? On the occasion that I do listen to the radio, there never really is anything like GEIP...

I don't think it's that bad. I think most of the controversy might be because it takes the words from the Lord's Prayer and twists them around in a less then flattering manner.
But hey, I like it ^^.

They're holding a chat session on Sunday in which the group will present it; head to the official site fo more details! X3
And I'm thinking GLT will be like past albums; it's not out of reach, but not exactly in stores here, either. What you can do is got your local HMV or A&B Sound (depending on what you have in your area; those are two that I use lot) and order it; I know HMV has it as available to order now, but I'm not sure if that's just online or not. A&B Sound has Warheit oder Pflicht, but GLT as of yet...
Oh, and if it's only online and you don't have a credit card, I find going into the store and buying a gift certificate to use in place of one works great. ^^
And they're just that great, aren't they? X3
