The goddess had disguised herself today as a larger than average leopard. She had no wings, but otherwise looked the same with her roses and rosette markings.

After being forcefully removed from the haven, she had kept her status a secret. The others tended to treat her oddly once they found out who she was. It made her not sure who to trust. So as a large leopard they at least treated her normally.

Tucking herself out of her dirt den, she stretched out in that spring sunshine and groaned. It was warming her up so much already. The earth made it chilly for sleep, just the way she liked it. Oyata loved sunning herself first thing in the morning. So she sat there, in front of a hole hidden by a bush in the side of a hill. Her tail flicked from side to side as she heard the birds chirping and singing their morning praises.

"Ah..."

Oyata was wobbling as she sat there, enjoying the sun. She loved it so much, but it made her want to curl right back up and doze off....

No!

She shook her head and opened her blue eyes before standing up and shaking off. "I have to do things today!" Hunting was high on her list of things to do. The plan was to get one or two medium sized kills and bring them back to her den, so she could stay there for a couple of days without dealing with much else.

It wasn't that she didn't like others, it was just better by herself at night! She also just liked having her food to herself.

Maybe she was a tiny bit selfish.

"Uuuugh. Okay. I need to go!"

With that, she took off in the direction where she knew a thinning of trees was. It wasn't a clearing, but close enough to a river that animals would flock to it.
