discuss your favorite intrstrumental sabbath solo, whether it be on the drums, bass, or guitar. as for me i'll pick one of each. on drums my favorite solo is the solo in supernaut. on bass my favorite solo is the intro to n.i.b. on guitar my favorite solo is a 2 way tie between the solo in children of the grave and the 2nd solo in war pigs.

The bass solo in war pigs was awesome. for those who havent heard it, its just when iomi was soloing, and geezer played a solo as well, just kinda improvision but i still consider it a solo
and Nibs bass solo is.........insane.

Metal Discharge The bass solo in war pigs was awesome. for those who havent heard it, its just when iomi was soloing, and geezer played a solo as well, just kinda improvision but i still consider it a solo and Nibs bass solo is.........insane. i mentioned somewhere else that geezer plays awesome bass lines over immoi's solo's and it makes for great music. and i guess my theory of his bass lines being a bass solo's over guitar solo's was right. ya geezer is one of th best bass players ever. sometimes he has really hard lines that are hard to imitate and when his lines are easy they are solid and just drive the song. biggrin

The greatest guitar solo Tony Did was probably either Warning (though it was a cover) or Snowblind...

phsyke i like the guitar solo in iron man Hell yeah.. That is an awesome little solo piece. Listen to the solo's in "Snowblind" and "The Warning" if you haven't already though. You'll fall in love with at least one of them... I guarantee you. Side fact (Sorry, I've been on sidefacts alot today): "The Warning" was a cover

i tried learning the solo for iron man. i could sort of play it at slow speeds, but i just couldn't keep up with iommi if i played over a cd.

I love Snowblind's solo, Iommi wrote a great one there, its easy, fun to play, but it sounds great. I dont much like the solo beginning to N.I.B, but maybe because I'm sick of listening to it...
