Setting This is the store were my dragon Mordion and I sell the dragon plushies. When the store is open, you'll usually find me sitting behind the counter, reading a book while waiting for customers. Mordion spends a lot of his time sleeping under the table. The walls, floor and ceiling are all paneled with wood that has darkened with age, but there's enough light coming through the huge store windows that the rooms still look friendly and inviting. The wood is carved with abstract, but intricate designs. Sitting on the heavy wooden counter is an old-fashioned cash register, though I also accept credit cards. The chairs around the table are worn, but comfortable ones, and on the table, there's usually a thermos can of coffee and one of hot chocolate waiting, in case one of the owners drops in with their dragon and wants to stay and chat a while. In the items display cases, you'll see the items that are currently for sale. (( Check the "Items" section of the shop thread. )) The shelves are usually stuffed with a variety of dragon plushies in different colors and materials. I don't like customers going into the back room, but if you absolutely have to know, there's a cardboard box with damaged plushies that I plan to repair at some point. The cupboard there mostly holds cleaning supplies. Recently, the store has magically aquired a backyard - one day, a door to the backyard just appeared in the eastern wall. There's a huge pond there that looks deep enough to swim in. The water is clear and looks very inviting. A few big, flat, black stones lie close to the pond. They are big enough to allow two or three people to sit on them. There are four trees all in all, two cherry and two apple trees, and there's a garden table with four chairs.

WereWolfKin *WereWolf walks into the shop with her plushie* I am so glad I found this shop. Rikho is the cutest! *Looks around* Wow, lots of people have plushies. **WereWolf cannot see the dragons yet** Malaisra Mala smiles at WereWolf.
"Oh, it may look as if a lot of people have one, but it's really only a rather small group of people... Mostly people who grew up wishing they could have a real dragon, you know?"
*Trying to see if he's already sensed that something is going on?* Mordion sends.
*Doesn't seem like it* Mala sends and tries not to look too obviously at her dragon, who's amusing himself by jumping around WereWolfKin in silly little bunny hops.
Wolfquest! Cho peered into the dragon shop, spotting another Eternal Child. Her eyes widened in awe. She padded her way in, looking up at the humans inside. Cho was ownerless. She freely roamed the streets and fields. The person who had bought her thought she was a real plushie and would stay that way, so she had released Cho the day she became a child. Cho gave an innocent look to the humans, like she hadn't eaten in days. Malaisra Mala looks toward the door as the little bell that hangs above it chimes melodiously. A small eternal dragon makes its way into the shop, alone. Mala just barely holds back a gasp as she recognizes the dragon child as one of the Hogwarts dragons she has only just sold a few days ago - the Ravenclaw one. The nametag had said "Cho", she remembers.
What's Cho doing here, all alone? Has something happened to her owner? The dragon's small feet are lightly covered in dust, as if she'd walked a long way, and she looks decidedly hungry.
WereWolf is still standing there - WereWolf who doesn't know that these dragons are real! If Mala openly reacts to Cho now, she'll most likely give the game away... but she cannot ignore a dragon in obvious need, either. She tentatively tries to reach Cho telepathically, to no avail. Perhaps she is still too young.
*Mordion*, Mala sends, *can you talk to her and ask her what happened?*
Mordion, who looks just as worried as Mala feels, nods.
*Hey, young one...* he sends to Cho *Can you hear me?*
Wolfquest! Cho blinked. She slightly nodded towards the other dragon. She understood a little, but what he was saying was still a bit fuzzy. She stumbled over to Moridon, slowly. She smiled. Finally another creature like her! =D She looked up at him. <3
(( g2g, we can finish this tomorrow... <3 )) WereWolfKin ((was busy)) *WereWolf looks around* Hey, there is a lone plushie by the door. How did it get there, shouldn't someone move her before she gets stepped on? *WereWolf unconsciously uses the gender she* Malaisra "Oh, you're right!" Mala says with what she hopes is a convincingly chagrined smile, "It must've fallen from the shelf, poor thing... Look, it's gotten all dusty! I'll just quickly bring it to the back room to be cleaned."
*Mordion, tell her not to be alarmed!* she sends to her dragon as she bends down to pick Cho up.
WereWolfKin Thank you. I wouldn't want that little one to get harmed. Wolfquest! Cho gets picked up and placed on a shelf nearby, not knowing what is going on. Going along with the act, she stayed perfectly still, obeying the other dragon. She tried to breathe lightly, so she didnt move much. All of a sudden, she let out a sneeze, making her fall to the floor below. She startled the humans that time, for sure! Malaisra Mala winces at Cho's loud sneeze and subsequent tumble to the floor. There's just no way WereWolf could possibly not have realized that the sneeze has come from the little dragon!
She looks at the girl expectantly, waiting for the reaction.
WereWolfKin *WereWolf started at the sound of a sneeze. She looked over to see the dusty plushie falling to the floor.* Ummmm, did that plushie just sneeze? I am getting the idea that these plushies are a lot more than they seem. "Umm, this may seem like a dumb question... but have you by any chance ever felt that your plushie was not just a plushie?" Mala begins tentatively.

well.......I have felt that sometimes with Rikho, there is something about Rikho that I can sense, that normal plushies do not have. I just cannot tell what it is. But since the other plushie sneezed......*WereWolf pauses for a minute to think* The plushies aren't really plushies, but dragons who look like plushies, to me. I think you see a lot more. *They stay looking like plushies to werewolf who belives they look like plushies to her*

Waling in just to hear the man suguest that the plusies were not toys Tigerto a step back so she would not be sean chuckling. Once she re-gained her composer she strolled in, she had taken a sneeky look at her toy even though she had placed him back in her bag and he was unfourtunealty just a toy.

Mala blinks at WereWolf's words, astonished.
*Wow*, Mordion sends, *she certainly got that in one!*
*No kidding...*, Mala sends back.
Just as Mala is about to confirm what WereWolf has said, another customer enters the store. Mala recognizes her as the girl who has bought the chocolate-brown dragon a few days back. She seems to be carrying him with her, still in the bag, so it's a safe bet that she hasn't realized yet that the plushies are more than plushies, and so Mala only catches WereWolf's eyes and nods emphatically.
"You know", she adds innocently, "I always find that I SEE things more clearly after a good night's sleep. When things are troubling me, I sometimes still take my plushies to bed with me, silly as that must seem for an adult woman."
Mordion snickers at Mala's attempts at a subtle hint.

Cho, completely forgetting everything the other dragon told her, hopped off the shelf and padded her way over to Mala, happily. <33

*WereWolf nods, not quite understanding the subtle hint. She understood that sometime, she needed to go to bed, with her plushie. But what she didn't understand was how that would make her see the dragons instead of plushies. She also understood why Malaisra had not spoken aloud about the dragons not being just plushies. She too had seen the girl walk in with a plushie bag.*
Look, this dusty plushie has found it's way back to you. Do you need any help cleaning it up?

"Ummm, this one just keeps falling off the shelves, doesn't it?" Mala says, hoping that the customer that has just come in will buy it... "Just a moment, I'll be right back!"
Since Cho obviously is going to keep acting like a very active young dragon and not a plushie, Mala decides that it's time to get her out of sight. So she picks up Cho in one arm, Mordion in the other and carries them to the backroom and up the stairs to their private rooms.
*Mordion, make sure she eats something, please. And try to keep her here for a few minutes!*
She runs back downstairs and to the front room.
(( Wolfquest!, Cho is of course free to escape Mordion's watch. 3nodding ))

"I'm back", Mala cheerfully announces to WereWolf and Tiger_Flight.
Now that Cho is hopefully not going to draw attention to the fact that the plushies are not merely plushies, Mala feels much better about Tiger_Flight wandering through the store...
*Really, with the way things are going, we should just make it an ad slogan - "Enchanted Dragons - Where Plushies Turn Into Real Dragons!"*, Mala sends to Mordion.
*Well, why not?*, Mordion sends back. *People will not believe it, anyway, and the people who buy one can't say you didn't warn them, later on.*
Mala ponders that.
*Hmmm, that's actually not that bad an idea, but a bit blunt... How about "Enchanted Dragons - Where Dreams Become Reality"?*
Mala becomes aware that she must look a bit strange, standing silently in the middle of the store. Besides, WereWolf is most likely still waiting for an explanation.

Meanwhile, in front of the store:
Reignar Lazenby looks up at the brightly painted wooden sign that says "Enchanted Dragons", and his mouth twists in a mocking smile.
*Look at this, Shiar, isn't it just... heart-warming?* he sends to the tiny Cursed Dragon hovering over his left shoulder.
Shiar doesn't answer, and when Reignar looks up at his familiar, he catches the dragon staring through the shop windows at the people and dragons inside with a look of... longing?
*Don't tell me you envy them?* he sharply demands to know.
*No, of course not, master... They're weak. They have no idea of their true potential.* Shiar hastily answers.
*Good answer*, Reignar approves, *So I'll let your lapse of attention slip... this time.*
He turns towards the window to study the people and dragons inside, himself. They were so easy to find... They radiate a disgusting amount of light magic that repulses him and draws him in at the same time.
Now is not the time to strike out at them - not yet. So far, there's only two Cursed Dragons, and from what he's seen, no less than 20 Enchanted Dragons have been sold by this shop alone, and there's no telling how many people have stumbled across an Enchanted Dragon without this meddlesome Malaisra's help.

Would you like to go sit down or meet some other people with me?

((Yes, in realy life I do talk to my toys, so even if I talk to Alden it dosen't mean I know..))
"I'll meet more people, that sounds like fun. I'll bring Alden with me," She picked him up and out of his bag and wiggled him close to her face I so wish you were real.... She gave a little titter, It would make all the hints that shopkeeper is makeing make sense. Walking over to the counter and looked at the jewels and items behind it, "Hey look at this stuff Alden, isn't it sweet?" Tiger wasn't sure weather it was the air conditioning or just her hand moving but Alden appeared to nod his head, "Whaa? Oh well, just me." I wish it wasn't, I wish it were real.

Mala catches the wistful look on Tiger's face and smiles to herself.
*Somebody is going to be happy when their dragon wakes up*, she sends to Mordion, who is still upstairs with Cho. *This one is going to be a good owner... Which reminds me, we still don't know what happened to Cho's owner, or do we?*
*No, we don't...*, Mordion sends back, *I don't think she understands me fully, yet. She's very young.*

*WereWolf can't help but notice the wish in Tiger's eyes as Tiger spoke to her plushie, whom she called Alden. But WereWolf didn't feel that it was her place to tell Tiger what she had guessed, and Malaisra had confirmed. Sighing, WereWolf got a better grip on Rikho, and walked over to stand beside Tiger.* Those are pretty. *WereWolf looked at Rikho, so you are more than just a plushie. Or are you a real plushie now, but not for long, maybe they all start as real plushies, that everyone sees as a plushie, but later they become real dragons. Maybe that is why, even though I know about it, I cant see the other dragons as anything but plushies, because mine hasn't changed yet. Maybe it was her imagination, but WereWolf thought she felt a light touch in her mind, but then it was gone.*

((You said to sleep, so we will pretend Rikho changes while WereWolf is asleep))
*WereWolf yawns and looks at her watch.* Oh my. Look at the time. I should be heading home and getting some sleep. *and it is also a good time to take Malaisra's sleeping hint WereWolf takes her leave of Tiger, grabs Rikho and departs from the store.*
*Not long later, WereWolf arrives at her home and crawls into bed, Rikho in her arms. Her mind racing with thoughts of a dragon, WereWolf fell into a deep sleep*
