My suggestions are:
-Making a Post your pic thread, perhaps make it a stickie
-Create a thread for bumping, and award prizes for the highest bumper at the end of some point, example
March 27th - April 27th
April 28th - May 28th
And award a winner for each period like that
-Maybe hold an inviting conest?

We could make the bumping a non-stickie, maybe an announcement, make the invite cotest an announcement.
And what about a birthday thread? Or a how old are you thread?

What would be the prize for such a bumping contest or invite contest?
I could provide a few thousand gold.
Perhaps a donation item/letter of some sort.

I think a request/invites contest would be best.
Like you can turn in names of your friends who you think would be interested.
The person who gets the most people from their list to join, wins.

That's a good idea.
The only problem is the funding.
It takes a handsome amount to inspire these days.
I could only provide a few thousand a month.
It would take a guild based fund.
Like a lotto thing maybe.
You pay 25-100 gold to be eligible for the highest post award for the month.
The winner takes all.
It could work.
