Rough concept was a maid bot that was broken up but eventually adopted as a robot daughter by someone but just dressed up, not necessarily lovingly restored.

Bioberry Bughazard Challenge Description: Create a Bugberry-themed avatar to celebrate local spicy meatball getting all the Bugberry items. Source: bugberry avatar contest Details:
I built this off of the remains of the previous avatar, since I thought biohazard would mix really well with Bugberry. I realized after submitting that oops I was supposed to ghost him, but no one seems to have minded.
Galactic Hime Lolita Challenge Description: Create an avatar based on one of the lolita or lolita adjacent styles. Source: lil lolita mini contest Details:
This started out as more of a pure Hime-lolita, and the dress still feels very hime style, but the hair and hat needed to balance to something similar. Aesthetically, it's my favorite of the two entries with how the light galaxy purple plays against the pink and blue.

Tick Tock Lolita Challenge Description: Create an avatar based on one of the lolita or lolita adjacent styles. Source:lil lolita mini contest Details:
This is a more traditional Gothic Lolita look. At one point, it had a pretty expression on her face, but even though it looked good, it didn't look like me. Giving her the exaggerated expression adds a bit of comedy, and it ended up looking more like a Hekiko avatar. I have zero illusions that either of these avis are going to 'win'.

Sample A Mascot Model Challenge Description: Create an outfit for Alley-chan Source: MEET ALLEY-CHAN Details:
The challenge itself was pretty straight forward but what made it interesting was the budget which is...not something I have to consider. However, with some creative and cheap hair, nose, and make-up use, I was able to use more expensive items for the rest of the outfit. Alley-chan's default base is not the same as Hekiko's, so when building the avatar I also used Pale Humaniki to check the make-up with the lighter skin-tone. This actually made it so I used the Hop of My Carrot Eyeshadow as opposed to the Radiant Nights makeup I had originally equipped.
Sample B Mascot Model Challenge Description: Create an outfit for Alley-chan Source: MEET ALLEY-CHAN Details:
My second entry for this contest with the primary scheme focus being CMYK with just a bit of sherbert accents. I think this one works better with Alley-chan's default base as opposed to the first entry, which I like better on Hekiko's. I used the same cheap makeup tricks, and included the astra musical notes to spice up the background. A subtle detal I like is the Puri Kura dress layered underneath so the paler ruffles can distinguish between the leg mods and the dress.
Cute By Moonlight Challenge Description: Make a cutesy kawaii avi using only dark/grungy/edgy colour schemes. Source: Post by Fatcat Overlord Details:
Ponderosa is probably one of my favorite color-schemes. It's dark and a touch christmasy, but I find the blue tones make it more versatile than the Festive Color scheme. Decay is used as a filler, and the burgundy in the decay ties together with the burgundy in the ponderosa.
She lives in a dark world, but it isn't cruel, and her light keeps shining.

Saa....Gyaru Challenge Description: Create an avatar based on gyaru style. Source:Thread by megg m Details:
Hair is officially my least favorite part of making avatars. I feel like I got the look of Gyaru, but I'm not sure I got the essence of Gyaru. It's more....Hekiko tried Gyaru, but it was probably never her scene.
Pollonia Challenge Description: Make an avatar using the new Cloud 9 item Apollinaris. Source:Thread by microfilm Details:
I love the shape of the skirt pose, so I wanted to create something that would play and meld with the shape to create a pleasing silhouette. The melon details were added at the end because I felt like I needed something on the ground but didn't want to overwhelm the silhouette with a full or partial background.

Guardian of Coocoon Forest Challenge Description: Build an avatar featuring a pose from the item Coocoon. Source:Thread by wiIts. Details:
Coocoon is a very pretty item that is nonetheless very difficult to blend. I used one of the belts as a skirt/continuation of the corset she's wearing. The moths were kind of a nice touch to call back to the theme of the item.
Elusive Quest Objective Challenge Description: Build an avatar featuring a pose from the item Coocoon. Source:Thread by wiIts. Details:
I wanted to try a different take on the item, by creating a scenic with one of the masks at the center of it. I spent a lot of time building up the layers of background to give the effect of some end of the world/alternate dimension location where this disembodied moth will give you the item or clue the heroes will need to trigger the final battle and save the world.
Floating Fragrance Peddler Challenge Description: Build an avatar featuring a pose from the item Coocoon. Source:Thread by wiIts. Details:
My third and final entry here. This one I went back to my contest basics, a small highly-detailed person. Painted hare is one of those items that I loved when it came out, and it still has that same spark here. I utilized the skirt, and chose the darker colorway since the previous entries used the green and white ones respectively.
Waiting Widow Challenge Description: Create an avatar utilizing Gnoc Dirty or Gnoc Dirtier Source:Thread by The_Super_Nintenho Details:
I wanted to make something tiny, tightly detailed and exquisite. The pose is rust from the Gnoc Dirtier item. The concept, if there is one, is a widow who is waiting at her spouse's gravesite and letting everything grow over her.

Dreaming of Fiyo Challenge Description: Create an avatar using your existing inventory based on an item on your wishlist. Source:Guild challenge by c0rdelia Details:
There's not a lot if items on the wishlist that I'm super attached to. Mostly, I have it to keep track of items I'm interested in, in case they're ever listed. However Fiyo is both adorable, and something that would be rather aspirational even if she were listed regularly. In retrospect I would have swapped out the hair for something closer to the blue in Fiyo's feathers. Here is the final ghost.
Spirit of Courage Challenge Description: Create an avatar with the item you obtained from Spinami today. Source:Thread by melynxes Details:
The thread has been around for a few days, but this is the first time I actually received an item that was neither a paw item nor something I already owned.
Obtained: Seraphic Angelique
My starting point was the arms, which with the red skin felt less like gloves and more like her actual skin. The original plan was to go in a delicate and sexy direction, but the addition of the pants in addition to the belt made something that felt stronger but still sensual/feminine.
The flame on top of her head is actually the lights/siren from a police car. Which I didn't realize wasn't removed from the avi until after I saved. However....it's not a bad effect. Actually I liked it much more than the version without.

Wayve Heatt Challenge Description: Create a male RPG-style villain Source: Contest thread by blndsundoll4kasch Details:
Flavor Text: Fire-themed mid-boss beefcake. Originally there was going to be a bit of plot with him and the token old guy (35 years old) being best friends prior to an inevitable and *dramatic* betrayal, but due to budget constraints and executive meddling, those cutscenes are now lost and he's just a random dude helping to make the world burn, one hero at a time.
Real Deal: So the past seven days have been....harsh heat wise, upto and including some record breaking temps and indoor temperatures going above 90. So I pivoted from the "I want to make the supposed ally who temporarily joins the party and then betrays the PCs at the wrong moment" to "******** it, fire/heat themed boss." He's got a bit of Jecht vibes though, so like whatever.
Garage Girl Glam Challenge Description: Make an avatar styled as Garage Glam Source:Thread by trisha paytas but asian Details:
The original vibe was going to be more streetwear, but then turned more into leather and black denim garage band singer. The song Do Not Disturb by Halestorm was a major inspiration for the steal your guy and your girl vibe.
