does anyone like any former or current sab members in thier solo careers? ozzy, dio, iommi, and geezer all pursued solo careers. although sabbath is my all time favorite band, Randy rhoads is my all time favorite guitarist. Ozzy just got plain lucky to find him. i love all of the classic ozzy songs like crazy train, over the mountain, flying high again, and diary of a madman. i'm also into the stuff ozzy did with jake e. lee and zakk wylde. What do you guys think??

Well I don't support ozzy in anyway. when I buy a sabbath cd, I support geezer, iomi and ward. I think ozzys a huge sell out and a glory hound of the glory that is not even his. "but hes the god father of metal" not he is NOT. hes just some monotonic singer that sung lyrics.
anyhow. I havent heard anyone elses exept for dios, and geezers.
dios Rocks, I love Dio, and geezer....is horrible. Hes my number 2 influance on bass and I loved him in sabbath, but his solo carrer is too guitar drivin, its not about the band, its just....guitar and vocals.

Metal Discharge Eh i kinda ment both. you know black label society is only zakk wylde? He does everything in the band. Hate to correct you, but Zakk Wylde isn't the only one in Black Label Society... He has a drummer, Bassist, and a second guitarist. I saw them live at Ozzfest 2004 and I researched the band a little. Did you know that The Black Label Society isn't just a band? It actually started out as just that, a society... It's a society of raw, hard-edged mother ********... Dimebag Darrell was in Black Label Society (not the band, but the society itself...) And Zakk Wylde had a band called "Pride and Glory" around the time of the release of Ozzy's "No More Tears" album. They released one album, which was ok. Anyways, I loved Ozzy's solo career. It was my favorite of the solo careers, the lyrics were unimaginably awesome, The guitars (all of them!) were of the most superior form, and the Drums and Bass were really melodic. Truely Spectacular... I liked Dio's solo career. It wasn't the greatest, but I did enjoy a few songs. Iommi's solo career was pretty good. Seventh Star (which was released under Black Sabbath's name, but was actually a solo album) was really really good. Geezer's solo work was ok, but not the greatest Glenn Hughes was in deep purple, so I have to mention them too... They were ******** rockin man Well, I guess I'll leave you with that. Any questions, just ask me

nicolai is right all of ozzyman's guitarists were the greatest ever. But the Best of the best would have to be randy rhoads, if he was still alive today metal would not be the same, it would be so much better.

But the Best of the best would have to be randy rhoads, if he was still alive today metal would not be the same, it would be so much better. It wouldn't have turned to s**t... (i.e. Burzum!) Randy Rhoads was and still is my main influence for picking up my Axe and givin it hell! The order of Ozzy Guitarists, from greatest to least greatest (cause lets face it, he never had a shitty guitarist) in my opinion go like this: 1. Randy Rhoads 2. Tony Iommi 3. Jake E. Lee 4. Zakk Wylde Tony and Jake are really close in my book though...

i didn't say it would turn to s**t...... my order! 1: Randy rhoads (number one on my list of all time) 2: Tony iommi (i like sabbath better than ozzy osbourne band but randy is just generally better) 3: Zakk Wylde (takes shread to a whole new meaning 4: Jake e lee ( i like some of his songs like bark at the moon but idk, he just wasn't that innovative to me)

Jake's Leads were so ******** awesome man... I loved his solo's cause they were really melodic mainly... The only thing I don't like about Zakk is that, with Ozzy, He plays mostly Leads. Their are almost no riffs from him ("No More Tears" was pretty much a song full of leads, Most of his songs were) I love Riffs man... The best thing Zakk ever did with Ozzy is a song called "Breaking All The Rules" from the "No rest for the wicked" Album (I think it's from this one, but I'm not certain...) The riff in this one is amazing, expecially seeing that Zakk came up with it. The solo's awesome and the leads he does is awesome too... It's just an all around beastly song

And I didn't mean you said it would turn to s**t... I meant that if he was still around, the metal scene would be a hell of a lot better. The new Metal bands Sound like s**t! (Mostly Black Metal and Norweigian Death Metal)... Like the band Burzum... Their music is so awful, I wanted to quit making music and become a productive member of society!
