Welcome to the Winter Festival Party at Metamorphose Sanctuary!
The Winter Festival is going off without a hitch. People are dancing to the music, exchanging gifts, sitting by the large firepit and sipping eggnog, or generally just having a good time. Headmaster Rhun has really outdone himself with the decorations (or maybe that was Nova). Everything is brightly lit up with string lights in all colors and there's plenty of candy, food, and snacks for everyone. People seem to really be enjoying themselves. The party is held in the indoor ballroom set up with a dance floor, many tables, open areas to stand and mingle. There are tables lined with all kinds of free food and drink, and even a few party games. There is a fire pit in the outdoor area to just relax under the moonlight. Everything has been decorated for the occasion and is being chaperoned by Mirabelle and Lilliana while Headmaster Rhun, Nova, and Avon investigate what metas have been causing so much trouble. The way this RP will work is almost in an AU style. You may enter your characters as you see fit. It'll go on throughout October and in the end, you may choose whether this affects your character as canon and fit it into the story where it is convenient for you. Or you may choose to regard it as non-canon and disregard specific interactions between characters specifically. (Although, I obviously encourage the former.)
There is no specific post order since characters will interact at different paces, so be sure to tag who you're responding to so they are aware when you've responded to those characters.)) -New metas can be created for this rp and the sign up rp. After the event they may be made into full characters and rp. (Art is not required to rp but can be bought from commissioning an official metas artist at a later time) - Be respectful to each other OOC. -No power gaming: don't control characters you do not own or force them to take a hit. -Try not to play your characters too over powered. Adult would be like superhero level, teen side-kick, while child and toddler are newbies. Mirri stood off to one side outside the ballroom trying to decide if she should go inside or not. She heard the crackling of a fire and peered around the corner of the ballroom wall she had been leaning on, there was a firepit going. Like a moth to a flame Mirri walked towards it she figured she'd sit down outside and wait to see if she recognised anyone before going inside.
Dagiel came walking in, he'd been granted a pass to come to this event as it was the time of year for new beginnings... Dagiel walked up to the food table and checked what was there, he loved his snacks, so after selecting a few things he wondered away to see if he could find anyone to talk to.

Estrella stood out side the entry way of the Ballroom, she smoothed out her dress and took a breath before walking into the ballroom. It was technically her first official outing and with some encouragement from her guardian she decided to make an effort to make an appearance. She slowly made her way over to the tables to help herself she was feeling a little peckish.
It was a new year and the time for new beginnings not that 2020 wasn't all that bad she did meet Leukos and he was the best thing that happened to her in the previous year. I mean taking all things into consideration it wasn't a complete bust of year.

Mirri was sitting by the fire looking at the flames when the sound of someone walking towards the ballroom caught her attention. Her ears flicked around to the sound before she turned her head. When she did she noticed a really pretty and pale meta who looked older than Mirri did pause at the ballroom door. Mirri wanted to call out and say hello but wasn't sure she had the courage to do it, instead Mirri rose up to her feet and carefully approached the older meta. Mirri was in her brown shorts that had several pockets and her forest green top with a sunflower on it, it was her favorite outfit after all her golden hair matched her fluffy tail that was drooped a little low showing she was nervous as she approached the older meta. Mirri stood a couple feet from the older one and in quiet voice she managed to squeak out, "Hello"

Estrella lowered to the younger meta's level being careful of her dress " Well, hello there..Young one" she said in the most polite way she can. "Are you feeling a litle hungry too?" she asked the young one before reaching up to the table and grabbing one of the food items and holding it out to her. Before grabbing something for herself with her free hand and nibbling on it.As she waited for the smaller meta to take it in the meantime she was going to introduce herself "My name is Estrella what is yours?" she asked lightly

Leukos took a deep, steadying breath as he tried to get the nerve to go into the ballroom. He'd never really been one for social events, but he was more than convinced to go by Melody. Dressed in an ugly winter sweater and his hair still a little bit of a mess, he looked like he'd rather curl up in some warm blankets and enjoy the silence. Rather, his intentions for being there were to introduce Estrella to his family, only one member showed up with him.
Melody was also dressed in a matching ugly sweater to Leukos, for an easier time find each other later if they were to get separated during the party. Her hair was in neat curls down her back and it was obvious she really took the time to look presentable. She hung off of Leukos' arm for as long as he'd allowed her which seemed to be until they entered. She looked around with a certain light in her eyes, in awe of the sight. It was her first real outing among other people and despite how overwhelming it was, she was excited for it. The only thing that would have made it better is if Mara was there, but she understood when duty called, Mara would go. Oh well.

Estrella blinked and looked up from her squatting position as she saw another couple metas walk into the ballroom. She stood up to her full height to get a better look at who it was. She beamed a little as she recognized who it was before finishing off what she was eating, before waving a hand at him. But, it seemed like he had brought one of his family members with him, she completely forgot that she was suppose to meet his family. She frowned a bit as that gave her a bit of anxiety. She wasn't eager about it but she did need to meet them at one point.

Leukos blinked as something caught his attention, Estrella's wave got him to look over and he smiled immediately upon seeing her.
Melody blinked, looking over at Estrella. "Is that her?" she asked but got no answer as she stared at Leukos making a goofy grin. She waved a hand in front of his face. "Hellooo?? Aren't you going to introduce me?" she tilted her head curiously.
Leukos shook his head from his minor daze then nodded at Melody, taking her hand as he led her over to Estrella. "Hello, Estrella. This is Melody, my sister." he introduced.
Melody gave a nod in greeting. "Hello, it's very nice to meet you. Sorry I'm the only one that came... Leukos did invite us all but something came up."
"Yeah, Mara stormed off grumbling something about Kae and dragons... and took Tri with her... So for now, it's just Melody." Leukos elaborated with a sympathetic smile.

Estrella beamed a little more and smiled at him warmly as he made his way over to her before nodding politely to Melody "Nice...to meet you too Melody. Ah well I'm sure they will slowly make their way here, this kinda thing isn't for everyone, so that's quite alright" she answered

"Oh, I doubt Mara is coming. When it comes to Kae, that's gonna be an all-night endeavor." Melody commented then frowned. "Though I'm sure you'll meet her one day. Say, you don't have ties to the Mafia or anything like that, do you?"
"Melody!" Leukos hissed.
"What? You can never be too sure... you know Mara will flip out if she's sanctioned to them or someone else that's an enemy of SIU... renegades maybe, not too sure on that one now that she's allying with Zaku Shiori..." she wrinkled her nose is distaste for the name. "You're not allied with Zaku, are you?" she then asked, looking her up and down to see if she could read anything off her.
"Melody.. you're being rude..." Leukos hissed again and seemed to clench his teeth a little in frustration over her being so forward with the questioning.

Estrella blinked taking a cautioutionary step back she was a little intimidated by being questioned about that sort of thing. She didn't even know who the Mafia was and who the Zaku was. This was not what she expected to be asked right off the bat.She frowned and then answered "No..I work at the Sanctuary at the front desk helping Metas get the resources they need to adjust. I don't even know who the Mafia is or the Zaku are" she said feeling slightly uncomfortable with the questions but answering them like a champ she hoped she was.

"See? She's not any of those things. She's just an honest, helpful person here at Sanctuary." Leukos looked at Melody pointedly.
".....I guess it checks out."
"You should apologize for being so forward."
"Are you friends with Headmaster Rhun, you know he's-.."
"Melody!!" Leukos hissed and glared at her.
Melody jumped a little and frowned then looked to Estrella. "..sorry. I'll stop." she finally relented. "You seem really nice. I don't mean to scare you." she confessed and frowned.
Leukos seemed to sigh with relief.

Estrella glances at Melody "Don't worry about it, its not a big deal but I can understand why would you be somewhat hesitant" she told Melody. She glanced at Leukos waving her hand a little "No..no..its quite alright Leukos, she's an important member of your family, as is everyone else. I envy you frankly that you have a family and siblings. I don't have that luxury" she told them both smiling a little.

Melody nodded in understanding. "Our family is a little complicated to say the least. Leukos and I aren't related by blood, only adopted by the same person. And our brother adopted my twin blood sister. Then there's another brother who's also his son. So it... gets a little weird. And we all don't quite get along at time." she explained with a bit of a frown.
Leukos frowned but couldn't deny what she had said. "My real father is part of the renegades, which we were enemies of for so long. Now SIU and Renegades are allied which makes things even more complicated." he added then sighed. "But you're welcome to spend time with me and my family if you don't have anyone in your family to spend time with. he offered sincerely.

Estrella nodded her head as Melody explained "That does sound like a very complicated relationship among your family. I'm sure it can't be all that bad" she said before thinking about then again it probably could be but she didn't want to base her knowledge on assumptions. She looked up at Leukos when he suggested she spend time with him and his family. "I might have to take you up on that offer" she said thinking about it tenatively although she would be in for a bumpy ride if she did spend time with them. She had only met one of his family members so she had yet to meet the rest, something she was going to have to prep herself for.
