They also have a series of comics (detailing the Second Stage Turbine Blade album) and graphic novel for Good Apollo Vol. I. I'd have to recommend the entire Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV album. It's probably the most accessible album.

Good Apollo was the album that finally made me gain interest in them, which is to be expected since it's completely amazing. Seems like it's really long too.
Where am I with Coheed? I've heard all of their works so far, except for that live album, and they're pretty much 'up there' in my favorites list. From what I can notice, they're showing improvement in each album, despite the fact that Second Stage Turbine Blade is more enjoyable than In Keeping Secrets of Earth etc. I'm expecting the next album to completely outdo Good Apollo, though.
The biggest complaint I hear about them is Claudio's vocals, and honestly, it's pretty damn easy to get past. There might be a fine line between whiny singing and Claudio's vocals, but Claudio's actually work with Coheed's music. It's not like you're going along, listening to whatever so-so tune and then some vocalist comes out of nowhere and wails on in some whiny voice about how parents suck 'cause they won't let them date some girl basketcase who gets off on eyeliner. There's working with a song and then there's ..that.

I love this band... I own 3 albums from them, but I kinda like their first two better. Out of all three cds, I'd have to say that "The Crowing" is my favorite song 3nodding it's just soo progressive... I don't know why alot of people complain about Claudio's voice... it's not that high-pitched, and when/if you see/hear them live... it doesn't sound like him at ALL gonk

All non-believers, stand aside in fear A new day's marching through the dawn How could you ever think you'd make it here? Was it greed, that was so hard Through the struggles you've ignored, you've come so
Far from innocence Reminded of the consequence Only what does it matter now?
'Cause you're going home You're running free As only you would be If you never owed them anything And now, you've found your way out In the trust you've seen, the path that Brought them home
Spend your time well before you go Here in hell
You'll need the lights to fool the engineer What was the motive in this fight? How could you ever think you'd make it here? Was it greed, that was too hard Through the struggles you've ignored, you've come so
Far from innocence Reminded of the consequence Only what does it matter now?
'Cause you're going home You're running free As only you would be If you never owed them anything And now, You've found a way out In the trust you've seen, the path that Brought them home
Spend your time well before you go Here in hell
A cold win Spend your time well before you go In the loss thats all your own There are no secrets you can hide From yourself, in your mind Leave the worst of all behind
You're going home You're running free As only you would be If you never owed them anything And now, you've found a way out In the trust you've seen, the path that Brought them home
'Cause going home You're running free As only you would be If you never owed them anything And now, you've found a way out In the trust you've seen You've brought them home
Spend your time well before you go Here in hell

I hate to say I've only heard one song by the band, Welcome Home. Great song, love the guitar solo.
But from what I've heard, his voice doesn't really sound like that. Which it doesn't surprise me. It's not like it would be that hard to change the pitch of someone's voice with the technology people have today in recording.
