crying Today one of my unlisteds came up as bid only and I spent forever waiting for it and the made sure I was on during the last 20mins of...I was happily bidding on it and it was close to ASP. During the last 1 min I was in a bid war... crying
Somehow I lost even though I am sure 30s could not have passed in the time it took me to counterbid.
Anyone else have similar experiences with the MP or would like to rant about the unlisteds that got away?

I have learned the new pain of unlisted items since coming back. Usually I put them on my wishlist and then forget about them. And then when I take a stroll through my wishlist and randomly open up an item, I see on the graphs that one was sold a few days ago. Just my luck, haha.
I got into a few bidding wars. It was the Tower Mage item and I saved up quite a bit because one was auction only and I was going to win it, heh. That was one that I actually did win, but I was bidding on several other items at the same time and lost a few of them to the timers because I didn't notice.
Then there are times when you see a rare and expensive item on sale, like 50kp instead of 80kp, and I didn't buy it right away and someone else swooped in and got it. I've been going around and getting some skins after last week's discussion and I believe it was one of the alien skins I missed out on. It was such a bummer, lol.

That really does stink that you lost the auction! I hate auctions so much I recently gave up bidding on an item and just bought the thing at a much higher price so I wouldn't have the anxiety, anymore.
And I hear you on unlisted items. Those are the majority of my wishlist--and quite often if someone posts ine of them, it will be at least ten times the previous price.
Sometimes I'll pay, because I really want the thing. Other times I look through the item again and decide it really isn't worth the jacked cost.

Yeah I hate when an item you are looking for is bid only, I'd suggest to bid abp off the bat and hope people don't outbid you on it or just post in the Unlisted/Wanted Forum Thread
I always find my items there~

I feel like out of maybe 10 or so actions I was actively bidding on in the last 2 mins of the listing I only got like maybe 3 items. I will go to counterbid and it will suddenly say expired. It is always the same few people I see winning the bids so I am not sure what they are doing that I am not. Frustrating!

The item I want has a listing now but it is more than double abp...I just am not willing to pay that much since I don't think it is as rare as all that. I will just have to bide my time.

I use a particular strategy on auctions for items I really want, so maybe those other people are doing it too? I keep my password on control + C to copy paste really fast and repeatedly refresh the window by clicking on the bid button for another item since you can't use F5 to refresh the page either to check for the PM that I've been outbid, or if I remember what amount I bid for then if it changes I know someone is watching that item too. the auction always resets to 2 minutes when a new bid is made, even if it had 30 seconds left previously. so by spamming refresh, I see whenever a new bid was made and I immediately counterbid.

Half of my wishlist is eternally unlisted. I don't even really WANT most of the items anymore, they've been unlisted so long... but it's the PRINICPLE of the matter! I NEED them now! stressed
