Manelin quickly went from a pale white to a bright red at knowing who his fighting partner would be. Tali? He wasn't sure he could fight Tali. He liked Tali too much to actually be willing to do harm to him. At least Tali would show him how to fight! He bounced over to Tali and grinned up at him. "Okay!" he said. "What do we do first?"

Tali grinned down at the younger boy. "Well, you could try a punch first. Did the instructer show you how to punch and kick yet?" He grimaced slightly. "I was supposed to be here for the entire class but I got held up at lunch."

"Yeah, the teacher showed us..." ((Right? ;^^)) Manelin looked at his hand. "Punch?" Punch was the hand one, right? He balled his hand into a fist and looked up at Tali again. "Like this?" He shoved his balled fist towards Tali to hit him.

"Exactly like that," The teen said stepping out of Manelin's way. "Now, let's get started. Say...both of us try to punch?" He suggested stepping into the ready position. He'd really try to go easy on Manelin, but it would be hard to do so without being condescending and upsetting the younger boy.
EDIT: The fighting teacher tapped on Tali's shoulder. "Change of plans boy. I need you with that one over there," he gestured at a sniffling girl at the other side of the room. "This one," he gestured to Jasmine, "will take your place."

Manelin nodded and was about to ready a punch... when the teacher came over. He was both upset and relived. He didn't have to hurt Tali, but he wouldn't get to have Tali show him how to fight either... So who was this new one to take Tali's place? He peered at them in confusion and curiosity, his hands dangling at his sides.

Jasmine stared at the teacher for a moment before following him over to another pair. Jasmine looked at the teacher and then at the boy that was standing before her. So she was fighting him? Feeling a bit sheepish Jasmine waved. "Um... Hi."

Manelin couldn't help but shyly wave back. "Hi," he said in reply, the faint trace of a blush on his cheeks. He thought he wasn't allowed to hit girls... was he? "So... um..." First blue, and now girls? What was up with himself? He felt so awkward at the moment and he didn't know why...

Jasmine smiled at Manelin a slight blush appearing on her face as Manelin's did. She faintly remembered the boy from their first classes about colors. He hadn't exactly enjoyed sitting on the blue circle though she still couldn't understand why. "Would you care to start?" Jasmine asked. She didn't know much at all about fighting herself.

Manelin brought a hand up to his mouth and coughed delicately, hoping to get rid of the blush on his face as he did. He let his hand drop afterwards and looked at her as he thought. Tali said to start with punches, so... "Sure." He readied a punch, silently asking his matron for forgiveness for even daring to hit a girl. He hoped this would fall under "self-defence." He'd wait for her to strike first, then would give his punch everything he had.

Jasmine waited for Manelin to start. She had never attacked anyone before but the best she could think of was to perhaps kick Manelin. When Manelin brought up his fists Jasmine brought back her foot and kicked at the boy hoping to hit him.

Manelin staggered for a moment as his blow went past Jasmine. Somehow, he managed to avoid her kick... or did he trip over her leg? He wasn't quite certain. He took a moment to regain his balance and looked towards Jasmine to see how she was doing.
((Edit: Phooy, I thought I stopped the post from going through on time. Oh well. Can you two put in the hit ranges every time you do the rolls? I keep having to go to the first post to see if my kiddling hit or not...))

Jasmine sighed as her kick missed Manelin. Fighting was harder than it looked. Determined to hit Manelin Jasmine brought up her fists and swung. If she was going to be forced to fight she was surely gonna do it right!
