So, we all love Disturbed very much. But, what is it about them that brings us to love them? It is a different thing in people, and I would like you to express that here. For example, as I have stated in other posts, I love how their music does not differ much from their CD tracks. That's why they sound awesome in concert.

Violence, angst, might through power, evil, darkness...you get the idea. Originally, this really was not what drew me into them (first band to get me itno the metal genre) but now that's what it's like.

Well, ok, it wasn't just them. It was also Drowning Pool. Around when the Sickness came out, I was Dragonball Z obsessed. xp well, they had a lot of music in their movies and I thought it kicked a**. I'm gonna laugh if THAT'S where you heard about them from, lol.

Probably the fact that David's voice doesn't sound like pure crap on any of his tracks. What draws me into any band is the name, well sometimes not, and what I think of the singers voice within the first 30 seconds. Weird I know but I'm picky about voices and this was one of the first bands in the genre of 'metal' to attract me. That spawned into so much more but thats not the point. I think the song that really grabbed me was Down With The Sickness, anyone who knows my msn addy will know that. So yeah, thats basically it...oh and the fact that David is frikken hot! Ha ha ha!

i was drawn into disturbed by the lyrics my mate showed me then putting them with the music, down with the sickness was the first i heard, and teh sheer power of the music the lyrics just overwhelmed me, it just awoke something in me made me feel alive energetic their music is just undescribable

I like it because I find ways to relate every song to something I like, or me in general. For instance, I wrote a two page essay for one of my classes about how "The Game" could describe the relationship between myself and a 12th grader (i'm in 9th) my friend is trying to hook me up with...
They stared at me... for like, 20 minutes. It was deeply entertaining.

This whole darkness s**t is driving me insane so it's back to my original reason: I enjoy stuff like Believe where the lyrics actually speak to me, typically in a positive way. I still like the rest of their stuff, but Believe most of all.

I'd like to write an essay on my favorite song (lyrically) and how it relates to my life razz (That would have to be Korn's Thoughtless, btw)

I don't really like most metal in which it's mostly just really fast and really heavy music with a singer who either screams all the time or doesn't do anything until the chorus, and then just repeats the song title in it. Also, the whole blood and darkness thing doesn't appeal to me too much. However, I've like Disturbed since I was about 8 years old.
What I like about it is how it's badass and heavy without losing all melody and the singer can scream without sounding like a jackass. I like a lot of their lyrics, too.
They didn't really get me into their genre, though. I don't really look into genres just because I like a band in it. I just look into bands I hear and like.
