Keeper sits in a small cozy reading room, awaiting for her guest to arrive and fill the empty seat
Opening the door to the room, the youngest of the Leone siblings, Luca Leone entered.
Standing up from her chair, she offers a friendly smile with her hand out. "Greetings Ms. Leone, thank you for coming. Please, feel free to take a seat."
The Blue Blossom gave the woman a nod before sitting down. "Of course. Thank you."
Her hand ignored, Keeper returned to her seat. "I understand you must currently have a lot on your mind, as of late. Being a three time Women's Champion, a Television Champion, and a Squadron Champion.. fans would like to know, what championship reign meant the most to you?"
"Yes, it's certainly been a rough couple of weeks. " Luca gave a weak smile. "Championships... I'd say it would have to be when we won the the Women's and Tag Team championships at the Royal Rumble. My brother brought our family together to what would be Power."
Touched, she smiled. "That must have been a really beautiful moment together with your family. Speaking of.. there was a member of your family years back, that had passed very early into your first year of your career. Jack? Jack Leone? What kept you going?"
Luca Leone brushed her hair back, clearly troubled by the question. "No, Jack passed very recently, it was actually the same year as Power was formed... Jack had already retired and was with our father here in Mexico." She paused for a moment before continuing, clearing her throat. "And that's exactly what keeps us all going. As a family, we travel together, and compete together, and now run this business together."
Frowning, Keeper looks down at her notepad in hand, flips a few pages and returns her sight to Luca. "I-I apologize, this is embarrassing, it seems I am working with misinformation. Please forgive me going forward and I appreciate you correcting me." Taking a moment to jot down some notes and scratch old lines out. "A very close, tightknit family is rare nowadays and warms my heart to hear. Being in an all male family, how did they choose to raise you growing up? And a fun side question.. did the color blue, become favored due to an all boy family?"
"I grew up as one of the boys really. You see my father ran a gym here, he also tought amatuer wrestling, boxing, kick boxing. So that's what we did after school." She picked at the fabric of her dress. "As far as the color, it didn't have anything to do with being in an all boy family. I wanted to change my appearence after a number of years, and it came to me. My family used to refer to me as the bluebird."
"I see." Keeper replied with a smile. "Returning to a painful subject. You, as well as everyone in the family, suffered through the loss of Jack.. and Cyrus, being right there beside him.. that must have affected him differently. What are your thoughts on the matter?"
"I didn't see him right away. He, Jack, and our father were in all the same car accident, and Cyrus was the only one who walked away from that. He only made contact with us a few months after. We thought he only lost his eye, but also he lost a part of him. His... differences are obvious."
Her lips tucked in at the serious mood this subject had taken to. "Yes." A quick glance down to her notepad. "It is good that he still cherishes family and hasn't broken away from everyone. Moving forward, you've had many opponents, is there any that you wish to face or would like another crack at?"
"Unfortunately, I never had the oppertunity to face many of the great female wrestlers that are retired. Dallas Cruz, Phoenixfire, Claire Hawkins, the Attwoods, Miranda Rose. Gosh, too many to name."
"Ah, yes, of course." Gives a knowing smile. "Many want to know the mysterious two years away. Can you, will you, shed light?" Keepers eyes light up in eager anticipation.
"You mean after the closedown in 2020?"
Keeper nods. "Yes. If you could enlighten and fill us in of what you can."
"Well, I found out I was pregnant shortly afterwards, so I would've taken time off regardless. But it really gave us time to focus on building the arena and starting up the company. With everywhere closed, there wasn't much else to it."
Tilting her head slightly, along with a smile. "How delightfully convenient. What brought you to the name Johnny? And is the father choosing to be anonymous?"
Luca squirmed as she asked the last question. "Well, I named my son John, as a tribute to Jack." There was a pause as she struggled to answer the remaining question. "I'd have to say yes, the father is no one's business."
Holding a broad smile. "As long things are good, give John my best. I appreciate your time with me." Keeper tries again to offer a hand, as she stands.
Standing, this time the Lioness gave her interviewer the handshake before departing.
